The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 132: Queen Anastasia.
~Royal palace of Astria~
"But the problems only airse!" A minister added his thoughts.
"Along with that our people would have to deal with inflation because of the shortage of goods. That works in no one’s favour." Another one added and she sighed.
Queen Anastasia was on her drone made of pure gold. Her elbow was supporting the weight of her head as she was looking bodli around the whole court of ministers who were busy arguing with each other trying to make a better point and had only driven her to the point of looking at them like unwanted children.
She sighed again, if only her husband had been intelligent enough to keep the throne she won’t have to be dealing with this alone but then again she could also have her son’s it in place for her.
She closed her eyes and sighed again. Son was a big role of an earlier than his father was and if she ever made the mistake of giving him the throne, The Kingdom would go to ashes before the sun would set.
Idiots, she was surrounded by idiots.
She sighed again and glanced at the servant who stood near the gong. She moved her fingers to assemble which only he understood and nodded understanding what the queen wanted. He picked up the hammer and rang the gong twice, silencing the men.
The entire room was gone silent immediately and no one spoke anymore. When every man’s attention from a minister to a servant was on her she straightened her spine and sharp and her eyes. Now everyone you not to mess with the queen.
"Now that you have realised that it is time for you all to shut up," she gave them a glare, "I must take the pain of telling you all once again that was not a choice rather a command that I had issued."
"Melenmore is going to be a target and has been for a long time. The kingdom is already on its path down to ruins and only we can save it. Without The Princess the treaty is void. If you want you can take advantage of this opportunity presented or let a great nation slip past our fingers."
She raised her hand up and everyone looked at it. She slapped her fingers twice, " Think about it."
Then she stood up with everyone else out of respect for her. The queen proceeded to walk out of the kingdom with every head bowed in front of her.
It was common for the word family to have tere rooms in the upper levels of the palace and so did she. Walking to them at times seems to be more of a chore.
"Where is he?" She asked her lady in waiting, one which had her eyes and ears everywhere; Mary.
She stepped forward, "he is with the peasant girl, you highness."
The queen hummed. Naya, her name was. That girl had been nothing but a pain in her hair from the moment she had arrived. Naya had successfully managed to divert attention from his studies and scholarly works onto her.
If anything Anastasia hated was tardiness and now her own son was being an epitome of it and she wanted to do nothing more than strangle him but as he was the only heir that she had.
"Tell me Mary, how far along is Naya in her pregnancy?" She trailed lazily now, her mind wandered.
Mary’s answer was immediate, "she is 6 months along, Your highness."
Queen Anastasia clicked her tongue in annoyance. She won’t have been if Genevieve had been successful in killing her off. The little girl was too pathetic to do so. Gentle hearts never won wars.
"Your highness, a messenger is here." Mary informed the queen and she stopped to turn around and look at the Messenger.
The man bowed his head in front of her and held out the tray in which the message was kept. Merry retrieved it and handed it to the queen.
Anastasia waved the man off and then opened the letter only to stop when she first saw the seal.
She had never seen this seed before and it did not take her a second to notice that it belongs to a Kingdom that had never been ventured into before. The seal belongs to the kingdom of the north.
"How. ." She whispered. How and why did the king of the north send her a letter?
Taking the knife offered by Mary that had come along with the tray she opened it hurriedly and read out the contents.
’To her Royal highness queen anastasia of house
The thing of north rights you to acquire knowledge about the marriage arranged between Princess Genevieve and Prince Terence. The king desires to know if the marriage has been legalized yet or not otherwise princess Genevieve shall be given another chance and they shall remain unmarried until further notice by any of them.
The king waits for you to reply at the earliest.’
"That’s it?" She whispered out as he read the contents of the letter again. It did not take a fool to realise that the king of the north and not address them in this letter rather someone below him had. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
That the king of the north took himself to be so high and mighty that he did not even address her himself?
"How. . . Dare he. ." She hissed as the letter crumbled in her hands. He dared to try.
"Call the general!" She commanded both the soldiers that were on duty along with many in the hallway rank to get the commander general as the Queen had commanded them too.
She herself started to walk in the room where they often discussed the strategies and plans that she had in mind for the kingdom. It was not long before her brother arrived.
"Your highness," the commander greeted.
"Forget Melenmore," she spat with brewing anger, "it is going to be the kingdom of the north."
And the whore.
