Chapter 954: Chapter 954: Hypnosis (Part 4)

"Mommy, where exactly have you been these days?" Xiaoze asked, hugging her neck.

Mu Yiliang hesitated for a moment: "I went to recover."

Suspicion showed in Xiaoze’s big eyes; he clearly didn’t believe her.

Mu Yiliang didn’t offer further explanation, putting him down and holding his hand: "Let’s go inside first, I haven’t had dinner yet."

"Daddy..." Xiaoze turned around, stretching out his free hand to Yan Sijue.

Yan Sijue smiled slightly and walked over to hold his little hand, and the three of them headed inside together.

Standing at the door, Lan Yueru saw this scene, her eyes reddened quickly, and she began to sob.

Xiaoze let go of his parents’ hands and walked over to comfort her: "Grandma, don’t cry. Mommy has returned, it’s a good thing, we should be happy."

"Mm..." Lan Yueru hugged Xiaoze in her arms, but couldn’t stop sobbing, her face full of tears.

Mu Yiliang walked over to her side and held her arm: "Aunt Lan, I’m sorry for worrying you."

Lan Yueru placed her hand over the back of Mu Yiliang’s hand and choked up, saying: "It’s good that you’re back, it’s good that you’re back... I always thought you were really... Fortunately, Si Jue didn’t give up. Yiliang, you two should live well together from now on, no more setbacks, no more..."

She’s getting old and can’t endure so much torment; their safety is more important than anything.

A flicker of complicated emotion swept across Mu Yiliang’s eyes.

She responded softly, "Okay."

"Si Jue has been looking for you these days without getting a decent sleep. Now he can finally be at ease." Lan Yueru wiped her tears, "Look at me, losing my composure like this... You must be tired, Xiaoze and I have prepared dinner for you, have a little..."

"Okay. Aunt Lan, please join us too," Mu Yiliang said softly.

Yan Sijue watched her silently the whole time, whether it was her intimacy with Xiaoze or her conversation with Lan Yueru, his gaze never left her.

But, surprisingly, Mu Yiliang didn’t give him any eye contact in return.

Yan Sijue was increasingly certain that she probably really had been successfully hypnotized.

Now, to her, he might be a hated enemy, and it’s already hard enough for her to interact with him, how could she possibly give him any extra responses?

At the dinner table, Mu Yiliang’s attention was also mainly on Xiaoze; she didn’t eat much and mostly listened to Xiaoze talking about his life at Robert’s place.

Gradually, Lan Yueru noticed something amiss and gave Yan Sijue a surprised look, only receiving a comforting smile from him.

Lan Yueru didn’t think much of it. But after dinner, she pulled Xiaoze to her side, smiling: "Okay, you’ve monopolized your mom’s time for long enough, let your dad and mom have a chat, come watch TV with me."

Only then did Xiaoze realize that since returning home, Mommy hadn’t really spoken to Daddy. He thought it was because of him and bashfully stuck out his tongue, taking Lan Yueru’s hand and happily running off.

They were the only two left in the living room.

Mu Yiliang seemed to suddenly become tense, especially when Yan Sijue gently grasped her wrist.

Feeling her shrink away, Yan Sijue’s eyes darkened a bit.

But his face remained gentle: "Yiliang, let’s go back to the room."

She paused before gently nodding.
