The Long Road to Love: The Capable CEO Dad-Chapter 548: Even One More Glance Pollutes the Eyes
Mae Summers grabbed her hair, wanting to slap her, but was stopped by Gabriel Jacobs.
"Mae, we still need her, don’t get worked up."
Mae Summers was so angry that her chest heaved, giving Faye Holloway a scornful look. Once this was resolved, she had to get rid of this ignorant woman!
Faye Holloway thought Mae Summers was afraid of her, becoming even more smug, and she reached out to hold Gabriel Jacobs’ hand, her tone carrying a hint of coquettishness.
In front of this man, she was always a little woman.
"Gabriel, where do we sleep tonight?"
From the way she spoke, it seemed she wanted to sleep with Gabriel Jacobs tonight. Mae Summers couldn’t bear it any longer, after all, Gabriel’s wife was her!
But before she could speak, she felt the gaze that Gabriel gave her. That’s right, Faye Holloway thought they had already divorced, that’s why she was helping them. If Faye found out they hadn’t divorced, she probably wouldn’t be willing to call Vivian Jacobs.
The only thing to do now was to endure.
Mae Summers’ face turned pale, tightly clenching her fists. If it weren’t for the fear of not being able to repay the debt and losing her life, she would have thrown Faye Holloway out right now. Such a shallow woman, just looking at her was an affront to the eyes.
Gabriel Jacobs had no choice, he gave Mae an apologetic look and then led Faye Holloway to his bedroom.
Mae Summers and Yvette Jacobs’ faces looked terrible, seeing the two even close the door, Mae immediately erupted, sweeping everything on the coffee table onto the floor.
"That bitch!"
She was so angry her face turned red, yet she was helpless.
"Mom, we still need to rely on Vivian Jacobs now, just bear with it for a while."
Yvette said next to her, not feeling much emotion inside, as long as they could get through this crisis, she was willing to compromise in any way.
"You still have the nerve to speak to me, if you were as successful as Vivian Jacobs and married into a wealthy family, I wouldn’t be bullied like this now. Yvette, I put the most hope in you, thought you’d be an outstanding woman, but in the end, you became like this!"
Yvette’s fists slowly clenched. If it weren’t for relying on her income as a star to pay off the interest, the Jacobs Family wouldn’t have lasted till now, and yet this woman began blaming her.
She was so angry that her chest hurt faintly but still bore it and suppressed her temper, returning to her room.
After Mae Summers vented her anger outside for a while, she immediately left, feeling uneasy whenever she thought of her husband lying with another woman.
Inside the room, Faye Holloway felt her life was complete, after so many years, she could still lie in the same bed with Gabriel Jacobs.
"Gabriel, it hurts here, rub it for me."
She took Gabriel’s hand, tears filled with allure.
Over the years, Faye Holloway had taken good care of herself, and with Jude Shaw’s support, her and her daughter’s life wasn’t too hard, making her appear slightly younger than her peers.
Gabriel originally despised this woman, looked down on her intellect and insight, but as soon as his hand was placed, the male instinct was utterly exposed, and very soon, the two got entangled, Faye deliberately shouting loudly as if fearing Mae Summers wouldn’t hear. Lost in passion, Gabriel didn’t notice, both becoming engrossed.
Mae Summers had already left the room, feeling aggrieved and went to stay at a hotel, so she didn’t hear the sounds from the room, otherwise she would really chop Faye into pieces.
Their relationship was twisted and complicated, yet because of mutual interests, they were closely tied together at the moment.
Faye really didn’t have much concept of money and truly didn’t understand how much eight billion was, only knowing Jude Shaw should be able to give it, and since Jude was her son-in-law, he should help them.
But this made Vivian Jacobs very troubled, after the call with Faye, Vivian couldn’t sleep and didn’t tell Jude Shaw about this matter.
It wasn’t until dawn that she slowly made a decision.
She wouldn’t take out a penny, no matter how they pressured her, she wouldn’t give away Jude Shaw’s money.
Having clarified this, she felt relieved and shut down all her communication methods.
"Jude Shaw."
She got up and saw Jude Shaw standing on the balcony, gently hugging his waist from behind.
"Let’s go traveling, what do you think?"
After the wedding, it was time for the honeymoon, which she had never mentioned to Jude before.
"Where do you want to go?"
Jude Shaw never refused her, he was a very competent husband, but Vivian Jacobs also clearly knew, in all this indulgence and spoiling, love was missing, but she wasn’t greedy, everything could go step by step.
"Maldives, I suppose."
Jude Shaw was swift, immediately arranging for tickets over there, and then went out with Vivian Jacobs.
Meanwhile, Faye Holloway was still dreaming of having her daughter pay back the money. When she woke up, she continued calling Vivian Jacobs but found her phone was already off.
Beside her, Gabriel’s face turned black instantly, Faye feeling somewhat flustered but still bore it and explained.
"Probably the phone is out of battery, I explained so much to her last night, she wouldn’t purposely turn it off."
Faye was a bit guilty, actually, to speak of it, she hadn’t taken care of this daughter over the years. The daughter had good fortune, and because she stayed in school, with Jude Shaw caring for the living expenses, she, as the mother, saved a lot of worries.
"Hmph, better be so!"
Clearly, they were affectionate last night, yet Gabriel now reverted to his old self, making Faye feel miserable.
By noon, she tried calling Vivian Jacobs, all to no avail, the phone was off.
Gabriel finally couldn’t hold it in, slapping her across the face.
"Didn’t you say your daughter wouldn’t ignore you, now she’s purposely off, guess she doesn’t want to answer your calls, right? Faye Holloway, now even your daughter ignores you, where do you think you can get eight billion for me?"
By noon, Mae Summers also came home, hearing that Vivian Jacobs wasn’t answering calls, immediately grabbed Faye Holloway’s hair. This bitch, she couldn’t hold it in anymore since last night.
"Weren’t you smug? Faye Holloway, look at your daughter, she doesn’t care about you at all, now I’m going to cut scars on your face!"
Seeing Mae Summers’ face full of viciousness, Faye was genuinely scared now.
"No way, Vivi probably just has no battery on her phone, she wouldn’t leave me without caring."
Mae Summers had already picked up the dagger, not wanting to hear another word from her.
"Mae Summers! You dare!!"
Faye was truly scared, but Mae Summers had no intention of stopping, placing the dagger against her face.
"What wouldn’t I dare, when you slapped me last night, I already thought of it, to mercilessly end you, anyway, since we can’t repay that eight billion, we all have to die."
