Chapter 79: Easy

A dark red aura spread from Alvaric’s body. Blood from his wounds began to float in the air. The more he was hurt, the stronger he became.

The Blood Domination ability wouldn’t be this powerful if used by anyone else, because normally, when someone loses too much blood, they become dizzy, exhausted, and anemic.

But that didn’t apply to Alvaric, who possessed incredible regeneration abilities. The side effects of Blood Domination were nullified.

"You are not worthy opponents for me," he said confidently.

He drew his sword and kicked one of the giant lizards aside. At the same moment, the lizards above leapt down from the ceiling.

They immediately opened their mouths and shot fireballs at Alvaric once again. But it didn’t scare him.

[Bloodmoon Eclipse activated]

A second later, a blood-red moon appeared in the ceiling sky. The crimson light made the giant lizards uncomfortable. That eerie glow bathed the entire room.

Alvaric dashed forward. He launched a series of rapid attacks. The fireballs flying toward him were easily sliced apart by his sword.

At the same time, two giant lizards were cut clean in half. Their blood spilled onto the ground. Seeing their comrades fall, the other lizards roared in fury.

More lizards came—this time, three at once. Without hesitation, the beasts lunged at Alvaric. They leapt low, trying to surround him.

But Alvaric didn’t retreat.

"You think you’re stronger than me? How laughable."

Just as the lizards began their assault, Alvaric’s body disappeared for a split second and reappeared above one of the monsters, slamming it into the ground.

A brutal strike. The lizard’s skull shattered, its body crushed. The other two fired fireballs at him, landing a direct hit—but Alvaric didn’t falter.

Blood flowed from his body, but the wounds sealed shut within seconds.

"My regeneration is too fast for you."

He spun and slashed one lizard’s neck, then drove his sword deep into the chest of another. Alvaric fought brutally, without fear.

He looked utterly invincible.

From afar, Velka and Serya watched in stunned silence. They had seen Alvaric fight before, yet they were still awestruck.

Even those already familiar with Alvaric’s strength were impressed—let alone the male soldier who had come with Serya. His mouth hung open, eyes wide in disbelief. Completely shocked by what he was seeing.

"I... I can’t believe it. He’s fighting all the monsters on this floor... alone, without pause," the soldier muttered.

"He’s powerful. That’s why I need him. He’s the only one who can defeat the generals," Serya explained quietly.

The soldier nodded. Now he understood why Alvaric had been chosen and treated with such importance. Everything made sense now.

"He’s a true monster."

Blood was splattered all over the floor—but it wasn’t Alvaric’s. It belonged to the dungeon beasts. Their bodies were torn apart, shredded without mercy.

Alvaric stood in the middle of a corridor filled with corpses. His breathing was heavy, but his body was still intact. The wounds he received continued to heal rapidly.

His dark, glowing eyes stared deep into the corridor.

[Level up! Level 24 to Level 25]

He had just reached level 25. A rapid development. Before entering this dungeon, Alvaric was level 18. Now, he had gained 7 levels by clearing just the first room of monsters.

"Still not enough."

He knew his strength still couldn’t compare to Leon. Nor to the other powerful enemies that awaited him. He had to become stronger. His goal was to reach level 99 and undergo evolution.

Alvaric didn’t know what kind of evolution awaited him, but one thing he believed: he would become far more powerful.

"I have to become the strongest and avenge Niva. The one behind her death is still alive. I won’t find peace until the king is dead," Alvaric said to himself.

Whenever he thought about Niva’s death, his chest tightened. The guilt haunted him. freewebnøvel_com

He had already made up his mind. "I must grow stronger."

There were no monsters left in that room. Alvaric decided to move on to the next chamber. This wasn’t the final room—it was just the first.

However, as he stepped forward, the room suddenly changed. But it wasn’t Blood Domain this time.

"This room again."

It was the same place he had seen before, back when he fell asleep in the carriage on the way to this dungeon. Now, it appeared once more.

Alvaric’s eyes darted around quickly. He looked left and right repeatedly, searching for that strange figure from before.

But the figure hadn’t appeared yet. Still, Alvaric knew it would show up again.

"Come out! I know you’re here," Alvaric challenged.

Sure enough, the figure of light emerged. This time, its form was slightly clearer, though still composed of glowing energy.

Without hesitation, Alvaric drew his sword and lunged forward, slashing quickly.

SLASH!

His sword passed right through the light. Alvaric attacked again—but the result was the same. His blade went through it.

Over and over.

"There’s no use. This is merely a fragment of my soul. No matter how many times you try, the result will be the same."

Alvaric continued to try, faster this time—but it was futile. Eventually, he jumped back and sheathed his sword.

He glared at the glowing figure. "What do you want from me?"

The figure didn’t answer right away. It walked toward Alvaric and raised its hand. Instinctively, Alvaric slapped the hand away—but again, his hand passed through the figure.

The glowing figure then touched Alvaric’s forehead. His body shone brightly—then dimmed after five seconds.

"Ah, you’re still only in your second evolution stage. So weak," it muttered.

Alvaric frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Kill all the generals of this world! Then you will understand everything."

Alvaric didn’t get it. He opened his mouth to ask—but suddenly, he was back in the dungeon room. The glowing figure had vanished.

All that remained was confusion in Alvaric’s mind.

"Who was that... and what did they mean? What will I understand after defeating the generals?"

He truly had no idea what the figure meant. The only way to uncover the truth was to kill the generals.

"That’s what I planned to do anyway," Alvaric muttered to himself.

Not long after, Serya, Velka, and the soldier arrived near Alvaric.

"Are you alright?"

Alvaric nodded. "I’m fine."
