Chapter 472: 471. Day As A Feline (2)

"Hey system, allow me to punch you once I revert back to normal." I thought as I saw the scene before me.

A few minutes earlier, the third person came barging in my room. It was the Crown Prince of Denril, Arian.

"Your Majesty?" He gasped shocked to see Miri in my room.

"And, Your Highness?" He looked at Davian.

He greeted them according to the etiquette and then gave them both suspicious glances as they stood in my room.

"What are your two doing here?" He asked, the two exchanged a look before Davian placed his hand on his hip.

"This is my chaperone’s room, Your Highness. I could be here any time I want." Davian spoke and I rolled my eyes.

You can’t!

Arian’s eyes then flittered to Miri who crossed her arms and asked instead, "We should ask you the same thing?"

"Hah?" Arian frowned before he scratched the back of his head looking awkward.

"Well... I couldn’t meet Marquis Ryujin yesterday so, I wanted to see if he was free for breakfast." He spoke and my eyebrows jumped.

"Since when are you two close enough to have breakfast together?" Miri asked and Arian glanced at her.

"I should ask you the same thing, Your Majesty. Since when are you close to a Marquis from Sestia?" He asked and she smirked.

"Well, we are close since I was a child." She spoke in a tone of boasting.

"I’m close to Marquis since I was young as well," Davian added with a smirk.

"E-Even I know him since I was a child." Arian retorted making the two pair of eyes turn to me.

I sighed turning my head snuggling into Sol’s arms, he was rather warm and comfy. Strangely enough, he felt warmer than earlier, while the three of them talked I noticed as Sol’s eyes growing glassy and his cheeks grew flushed.

I lowkey panicked as I saw his breathing starting to grow deeper and his heartbeats slowed. I couldn’t use any of my other power so, I couldn’t do much about his state so, I just thought of casting the Healing spell on him.

Sol looked down at me for a moment and then at the adults in the room.

"Um..." He spoke up but none of them seemed to be noticing anything apart from their stupid squabble about who’s got the right to be in my room.

I mean, was that even a reason to fight?

Besides, Sol’s temperature seemed to be rising which made me even more agitated.

"Listen..." Sol spoke again but it fell on deaf ears.

These three called themselves adults...

Just as a few more seconds and I snapped, I hissed loudly with a threatening growl and bared my fangs at the three. Miri and Davian turned to me at once as they noticed me and Arian seemed confused.

"A cat?... And a child?" He spoke while I continued to berate them in a cat tongue.

If only I had my own voice I would have scolded them to moon and back, how dare they ignore a child who was sick and argue around in someone else’s room first thing in the morning?!

"We-We’re sorry...?" Miri spoke in a questioning tone as if wondering why I was angry.

"Oh, do you want me to kick him out of this room?" Davian asked pointing at Arian.

"Why would you ask such a question to a cat?!" Arian shouted.

"Hm, because-"

I hissed interrupting him and then looked at Sol whose face was all red by now and his breath was labored.

"Sol! Sol, are you all right?" Miri asked as she got down to her knee holding Sol’s shoulders.

Sol hummed unable to speak and Davian frowned. He stepped ahead to hold him and I instinctively lashed out.

"Stay away from the child, your aura will only make things worse!" I wanted to shout but instead of meows no comprehensive words came out.

"I’m sorry... Did I offend you in some way?" He spoke and I grimaced looking at him and then at Arian and Miri.

Sol seemed like he couldn’t hold it anymore but he kept his grip on me, I sighed and turned my body a little to face him. His droopy eyes met mine and I reached out, placing my paw on his cheek feeling the heat searing through my sensitive pads.

I casted the Healing spell feeling the meagre amount of unlocked mana in my body make its way to Sol’s body suppressing the upsurgence of the curse. I couldn’t see his curse subsiding but I felt it as the redness of his cheeks slowly reduced and the light returned to his eyes. He blinked, before holding me properly against his chest when I was done.

I felt weak after casting that spell so, I leaned in sighing. One time done, I hope I wouldn’t have to use it again today or I’d be too weak to keep myself conscious.

"Wait, how is this possible? How could that cat?" Arian gasped and I looked at him.

Davian and Miri looked at me and then at Sol looking guilty.

"Sol, were you not feeling well?" Davian asked in a soft voice.

"I’m sorry, we were being noisy while you were having a hard time." Miri apologised with a tender smile.

"It’s fine..."

"If you know that you’re being noisy then get out! I don’t want to see your faces!" I mewled and Sol’s eyes slightly grew wide before he looked down at me.

"Um... He’s asking you to leave." Sol said making us look at him.

"What?"

"Wait, you can understand what I said?" I mewled and Sol looked at me again and then gave me a subtle nod.

"You understood what Master said?" Davian asked.

"Can anyone explain to me what’s going on?" Arian asked exasperatedly.

"Then why didn’t you say so earlier? What was Master saying since the beginning?" Miri asked completely ignoring Arian.

"I... couldn’t understand it earlier but I... heard him now..." Sol said sounding uncertain himself.

Well, it’s a good thing hopefully, if he could understand me- Wait, did he happen to also hear my bickering with the system and my Patrons too then?

"Sol," I looked at him, "Did you hear what I was shouting about earlier?"

He shook his head answering me and I sighed, it would have been a headache to explain.

"Then, can you ask Master if he wants to go out in town with me?" Davian asked and I narrowed my eyes.

"No."

"No," Sol echoed making Davian’s face go pale in an instant.

Miri laughed, "It was obvious that Master wouldn’t go with you, Your Highness. Since I’m standing here."

"I won’t go with you either." I mewled and Sol translated.

Miri was also aghast which left Arian who sighed.

"It doesn’t seem like you’re in the state to be around people," Arian mused.

"Good boy."

Sol echoed that as well which made Arian’s ears grow red.

"What?"

Just then another person appeared at the doorway.

It was a maid assigned to me and she stood there with a water basin in her hands and shock overlapping her expression as she saw three influential figures of three different kingdoms gathered in the room.

She staggered around taken aback unable to know what to do as she quickly placed the basin down and got on her knees to greet all of them.

The poor maid was shocked and probably scared out of her wits when she saw the future Grand Duke of Sestia, the Crown Prince of Denril and the Queen of Mordino standing in front of her. She trembled as she kneeled.

The three seemed to understand the tension and then shuffled out on their own without me kicking them out.

Sol sighed deeply while the rattled maid walked towards him with the water in the basin almost splashing around.

"Please calm down," Sol said as he sat down on the edge of the bed with me still in his arms.

"You can let go of me now," I said and he loosened his grip making me slither out.

The maid watched me curiously as I stretched my body on the bed before sitting down watching them as if it was a natural thing for me to do.

"My Lord... This is a really beautiful cat... Is it your pet?" She asked Sol as he washed his face.

Sol looked at me with the water droplets running down his face and he pondered over it for a bit before he answered, "She’s my Uncle’s cat."

I almost flinched hearing him address me as Uncle.

"Ah," the maid smiled as she kept looking at me.

"I-If it isn’t a problem then, m-may I pet it?" She asked and Sol looked at me.

"A little is fine," I spoke and he conveyed.

The maid beamed, her eyes practically glowing as she gingerly reached out and placed her hand over my head ruffling the fur a little. I didn’t like anyone touching my head and she seemed to figure that out so, her fingers scratched down my jaw, the sensation was strangely pleasurable so good that it made me let out an involuntary reaction.

I purred.

Sol looked at me and I flushed before I stood up and strolled away from the maid making her let out a groan.

She helped Sol change into his regular clothes and I thought of something before I said.

"Ask her to dress you in simpler clothes."

Sol looked at me as if asking why.

"We made a plan remember? We’re going out in town today." His eyes grew wide as I said that and he gestured at me with urgency in his eyes as if to remind me of my feline body but I simply waved my hand noticing as even my white furry tail waved like a snake with it.

"No need to worry, let’s go together and play." I said and he sighed.

"Please dress me up in a simple clothes." He told the maid who blinked slightly confused but obliged.

After a couple of minutes, he was dressed in a white shirt under the navy blue vest and same colored shorts with ankle length boots. The maid also helped him into a black coat with a navy blue flying Dragon insignia on its back. I observed him as he noticed as how the coat was also a perfect fit and I smiled, I knew it would suit him. Besides, it was special coat which regulated the temperature of the body and also acted as waterproof jacket so, I had it made a while back.

The maid put on him the Ryujin family crest as I instructed to her through him and Sol looked at me wondering why I was asking for that to be put on him. I asked him to put on the teleportation device and the communication brooch that I usually wear but he didn’t speak of it, I frowned a bit.

"Why aren’t you saying it?" I asked and Sol looked at me.

"Stay down and be patient," he spoke in a normal tone and then added in a low voice so as to not let the maid hear it, "I don’t need it."

I frowned a bit but let him be. Soon he was ready to go and I leapt off the bed and into his arms with a grin.

"Let’s go!"
