Chapter 2321: Chapter 2314: Could It Be Poisonous?

"What?" Yan Huan was startled by his sudden shout, her whole body stiffening up. "Wh... what’s wrong?"

"It’s nothing. Just don’t move." Cheng Yue, afraid of scaring Yan Huan, didn’t tell her the truth. He just crouched down, his eyes fixed on a snake flicking its tongue beside Yan Huan’s leg, preparing to grab it by its seven-inch point.

"Cheng Yue, is there something there?" Seeing his demeanor, Yan Huan could already guess about seventy or eighty percent of the situation. "Is it... a snake?"

"Yes. Don’t be afraid!" Just as Cheng Yue spoke, he saw Yan Huan’s calf tremble violently, and the snake’s body coiled and pounced towards her leg.

Cheng Yue quickly reached out to grab the snake, but his movements were still a bit slow.

The snake bit down hard on Yan Huan’s calf through the thin pants.

"Ah!" The piercing pain shot through her, causing Yan Huan to cry out, tears nearly welling up in her eyes.

Cheng Yue quickly grabbed the snake by its seven-inch point and flung it aside forcefully, and it quickly slithered away.

"How are you?" Cheng Yue hurriedly helped Yan Huan to sit down, "Didn’t I tell you not to move? Why didn’t you listen?"

"Do you think I wanted to move?" Yan Huan said, her face twisted in pain. "I’ve been afraid of these creatures since I was young. The way they slither and flick their red tongues is terrifying! I didn’t mean to move. When I heard there was a snake behind my leg, I got so nervous my calf cramped up!"

"Alright. I didn’t mean to scold you." Cheng Yue squatted down, gently lifted Yan Huan’s pant leg, and turned her calf to clearly see the two fang marks.

"Cheng Yue, do you think the snake is poisonous?" Yan Huan asked anxiously.

She remembered her father telling her a story about when he was young and went to war, getting bitten by a snake in a deep forest. That snake was poisonous and nearly cost him his life.

"I don’t really know." Cheng Yue, having grown up in the city, rarely encountered snakes or knew how to identify them.

"Then what should we do? What if it’s poisonous?" Yan Huan was a bit anxious.

"Don’t worry. We can ask the locals. But first, we need to treat the wound."

Cheng Yue, being a doctor, had some knowledge of first aid in the wild. Even though he didn’t know if this snake was poisonous, he decided to treat it as if it were just to be safe.

He quickly opened the first aid kit, took out bandages, and tightly wrapped Yan Huan’s calf above the wound to slow the blood flow.

Then, he knelt partially on the ground, cradling Yan Huan’s slender, fair leg with his hands and lowered his head.

"Hey, what are you doing?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"What if it’s poisonous? I’m going to suck the venom out for you!" Without waiting for her protest, Cheng Yue lowered his head, placed his mouth over Yan Huan’s wound, and began sucking forcefully.

As he sucked, he spat the contents out: "Does it hurt?"

Yan Huan shook her head, then quickly nodded.

"Hang in there." Cheng Yue said before burying his head again.

Yan Huan felt an odd sensation coming from her leg. It wasn’t quite pain or itching, just an unprecedented, peculiar feeling.

Even more curious was the position they found themselves in; she was half lying on the ground while Cheng Yue was semi-kneeling, his hands clasping one of her legs as he sucked the venom.

This posture was somewhat suggestive...
