Chapter 143: Chapter 143 Amusement Park Exclusive Romance

The autumn breeze gently swayed the trees, casting long, graceful shadows under the fading sunlight.

Tristan brought Megan to the amusement park in Capitol City.

Since it wasn’t a holiday and the sun was about to set, the park wasn’t crowded.

Holding her hand tightly, Tristan strode inside with her. "Whatever you feel like trying, I’m game."

Megan could guess why—he was afraid Mrs. Lewis’s words had upset her. So, he brought her here to cheer her up.

She gave his warm hand a soft tug, asking him to pause.

He turned to look at her. "What’s up?"

Without a word, Megan hugged him, arms wrapping around his waist as she leaned her face against his firm chest. "Nothing. Just... you’re really, really sweet to me—like, ridiculously thoughtful."

"Well, that’s a given." Tristan wrapped her in a tight hug, his jaw pressing gently against her fragrant hair. "You’re my woman. Of course I care how you feel. Especially when we’re... in bed."

Megan stifled a laugh, nudging his back with her tiny fists. "You and your dirty jokes. Honestly, you’re the worst!"

"But that’s what makes me lovable," Tristan chuckled, his voice low and velvety. "I’m only naughty with you."

"Ugh, you’re so annoying," she said, blushing as she bit her lip.

Tristan lightly patted her back. "Forget everything today. Let’s just have fun."

He bought her a rainbow cotton candy—she didn’t finish it, so he held it up for her. It looked like she was floating in a cloud of sugar.

He got her a glowing Minnie hair clip. Sure, it was a little childish, but he told her she was the cutest person in the entire world.

They tried out every ride in the park, from the merry-go-round to the roller coaster, no matter if it was relaxing or thrilling—they did it all.

When the park finally closed and all the guests had left, Tristan snapped his fingers. The once-dark park suddenly lit up with twinkling lights.

"You rented the whole place?" she asked in surprise.

Tristan smirked slightly. "It’s all yours now."

Megan blinked. "Wait... you bought it?"

He poked her nose playfully. "Silly girl, it was already part of the Reid Group. Tomorrow, I’ll have Cameron transfer the ownership papers. This place will be under your name."

Still caught up in the surprise, Megan followed Tristan to the Ferris wheel.

Under the night sky, the Ferris wheel glowed in warm, soft yellow, sparkling like magic.

Cameron stood by one of the cabins, holding the door open and gesturing with a polite bow.

Tristan led her inside and sat down. "You can see all of Capitol City’s nightscape from here. It’s unreal."

The city buzzed below. Neon signs lit up the night like a dream.

Megan’s amber eyes curved into a smile, her lips lifting with joy she couldn’t hide. "Isn’t it a bit selfish of us to close the park? I mean, I bet a lot of people wanted to enjoy this view too."

Tristan gently stroked her cheek, the warm cabin lights giving her the soft glow of a moon goddess—utterly breathtaking.

"If making you happy is selfish, then I don’t care one bit," he said seriously. "No one in this world gets to pick on you. Except me."

"You’re not allowed to either!" she shot back with a grin.Tristan tilted her chin gently and leaned close to her ear. "Relax, babe. I only tease you when we’re alone... in bed."

Megan gave a soft smile, lips pursed. Tristan wrapped an arm around her waist, gazing out into the distance. "I hope it’s a girl—cute like you."

"What if it’s a boy instead?" she asked, looking up with curious eyes.

He chuckled. "That’s just adding a rival for your affection. I’ll have to spank his little butt!"

"They say couples who ride the Ferris wheel end up breaking up," she suddenly said, eyes blinking uncertainly. "But if they kiss at the highest point, they’ll be together forever."

His voice, low and smooth, reached her ears. Megan half believed it, eyes glinting. "For real?"

Tristan gave a quiet "mm."

Megan pouted, furrowing her brows. "If I had known, I might’ve skipped the ride."

She bit into her cotton candy, but the sweetness somehow lost its flavor on her tongue.

Tristan gently tilted her chin up, eyes locked onto her delicate face. "Why’d you only hear the first part? We’re already at the top."

As his voice fell, his cool lips brushed hers, drawing her into a lingering kiss.

Her hands, soft and boneless, rested lightly on his shoulders, soaking in his warmth through the kiss.

Between breaths, he murmured, "You’re so sweet."

Megan’s eyes fluttered open, sparkling. "Does that mean we’ll never be apart... ever?"

With his forehead leaning against hers, Tristan whispered, "Never. Not in this lifetime."

With a sharp swoosh, a firework burst overhead.

More exploded one after another, lighting up the whole sky in dazzling hues.

Megan’s gaze followed the glow until she froze—a string of shining words bloomed across the night sky: "Megan, I love you."

It was bold, romantic, and impossible to ignore. No woman could stay unaffected by something so beautiful.

The glowing message played again and again across the star-lit canvas. It wasn’t just his confession to her—it was him screaming to the world that Tristan loved Megan.

She was the center of his world, the one person he was destined to chase forever.

The fireworks lasted a full two hours. Megan had to stop him, or it might’ve gone on all night.

"I don’t even know what to do. I’m so happy," she said, dazed with joy.

Tristan had been planning this fireworks show for a long time. "Megan, I love you."

"Mm, I know," she replied softly.

He cleared his throat, looking at her glowing face. "So... maybe switch up those words? I wouldn’t mind hearing something else."

"Ah-la-so!" she chirped.

Tristan froze. "...Was that Korean?" 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

She grinned, shaking her head like a mischievous kid. "Beats me. No clue what I just said."

With a smirk, Tristan pulled her onto his lap, his hand tightening around her slim waist. "Keep teasing like that, and I’m gonna do something about it."

Megan immediately stiffened. Swallowing hard, she whispered, "Okay, I won’t move... as long as you don’t either."

He leaned in, breath hot. "Babe, you realize we’ve never tried this... on a Ferris wheel."

"Ahem!" she exclaimed, quickly dodging. "Hey... Cameron’s been standing down there for two hours! If we keep this up, we’re literally torturing the poor guy."

"Let him suffer a bit longer. What’s two more hours?" Tristan replied without missing a beat. "Or more."

"Babe... mmph..."

"Do you love me?" his voice was low against her lips.

"I do."

"Say it all."

"I... mm... I love you..."

Cameron looked up at the spinning Ferris wheel, squatting nearby and stabbing the dirt with a twig. A trail of ants was now crawling over his shoes.

He suddenly jumped, yelping. Flicking off two ants tangled on his hand, he barked, "Seriously?! Even freakin’ ants are rubbing it in now?!"
