The Grand Duke's Son Is A Heretic-Chapter 519
Rein suddenly felt a crawling, ominous sensation climb up his spine. It was cold and sharp, like invisible fingers brushing against his nerves. His body reacted before his mind did, and he twisted his head to look behind him.
Adele stood there, rooted to the spot.
Her face was pale. Her eyes were wide, filled with shock and absolute horror. Her lips trembled slightly, as if she wanted to speak but could not form the words.
Rein's breath caught in his throat.
"How is this possible?" he muttered, his voice heavy with disbelief.
It did not make sense.
Both of them had already reached SSS rank. They had crossed the threshold that countless warriors dreamed of and failed to reach. Their power was supposed to be absolute on this battlefield. Kael, on the other hand, was only an SS rank, at least according to everything they knew.
So how?
How was he doing this?
How was he overwhelming them?
The confusion clouded Rein's thoughts, even if only for a fraction of a second. But in a battle of this level, a single lapse was enough to invite death.
"Focus here, you bastard!"
Martina's voice tore through the air like a blade.
BOOOOOM!
Before Rein could fully turn back, Martina closed the distance. Her body moved with ruthless precision, her aura flaring violently as she drove forward. Her weapon cut through the space between them, smashing directly into Rein's defense.
The impact sent a violent shock through his arms. His barrier cracked, lines of light splintering across it as Martina's strike forced its way through. Pain exploded across his side as the edge of her blade tore through his armor and left a deep slash across his ribs.
Rein grunted and staggered back, blood spraying from the wound. He twisted his body instinctively, reinforcing his defense at the last second, which saved him from being cut in half. Even so, the force of the blow sent him sliding across the shattered ground.
Martina did not give him room to breathe.
She stepped in again, her expression cold and focused, her killing intent sharp enough to suffocate. Each step she took pressed him further back, forcing him closer to the edge of the battlefield. The ground beneath Rein's feet cracked and collapsed as he struggled to stabilize himself.
Meanwhile, far above and away from them, the sky darkened unnaturally.
Colossal darkness flooded the heavens, swallowing light and sound alike. The shadows twisted and writhed as if alive, pressing down on the land with suffocating pressure. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Then, with a single swing, the darkness was split apart.
Ramos stood there, his sword tracing a clean arc through the sky. The blade shimmered with cold power as it cut through the abyssal gloom, dispersing it like mist.
"Tell me," Ramos said, his voice calm but filled with deadly intent.
The air around the ancient temple turned freezing cold, frost spreading across broken stone and cracked pillars.
"Why did you attack us when we were breaking through the Demi God realm?" Ramos continued, his gaze locked onto the Abyssal Demi God before him.
The Demi God frowned deeply, his expression twisting with confusion and irritation.
"What the hell are you talking about?" he snapped.
"I am talking about your group attacking us and killing Princess Selene," Ramos said. His eyes darkened as he raised his sword again.
Behind him, a massive water dragon formed, its body coiling and roaring as it gathered strength. With a sharp downward motion, Ramos sent it crashing forward.
The water dragon slammed into the Abyssal Demi God, blasting him across the sky. His body tumbled violently, smashing through layers of distorted space before he managed to stabilize himself.
He burst out of the impact zone, roaring in fury.
"We aren't behind that thing, you dumb shit!" he shouted.
Ramos's eyes narrowed. "What if you just did not know about it?"
"No," the Demi God barked, pointing angrily. "I am telling you. We haven't been making any waves. This is the first time in the past century that we have appeared, you dumb fucker!"
"Then who the fuck was behind this?" Ramos demanded.
"How the fuck do I know?" the Demi God snapped back. "Stop accusing us. We have done many bad deeds, but this is not one of them."
Ramos froze.
His sword paused mid air.
His gaze wavered as he studied the Demi God carefully. Despite his rage and foul mouth, there was no deception in his tone. Evil beings committed countless atrocities, but they had one strange habit. They always took credit for what they did.
Seeing the man refuse so fiercely, Ramos felt uncertainty creep in.
That moment of hesitation gave the Abyssal Demi God space to breathe. He inhaled sharply and looked down toward the battlefield below.
What he saw made his blood run cold.
"Fuckkkkk!" he roared, his voice shaking the entire space.
Below him, Adele was being slashed apart, blood spraying as she struggled desperately. Rein was being beaten back, wounded and overwhelmed, his defense crumbling under relentless pressure.
"Useless," the Demi God snarled. "Useless!"
"Every one of you is useless!" he screamed, his fury echoing across the battlefield.
"You can't even do a single fucking thing!"
The chaos below continued to spiral, and the truth became clear to all watching.
The Demi-God from the Abyssal Sect completely lost his composure.
His eyes turned bloodshot, and the veins on his face bulged as if they were about to burst. His aura surged wildly, no longer controlled, no longer restrained. The ground beneath his feet cracked and sank under the pressure of his rage.
"Fuck… FUCK!" he roared, his voice breaking into something feral. "How dare you… How fucking dare you kill her!"
He turned sharply and grabbed one of the abyssal commandants who was standing nearby, frozen in fear. The commandant barely had time to scream before the Demi-God's hand closed around his head.
CRACK!
With a brutal twist, he tore the commandant apart. Flesh ripped, bones snapped, and blood sprayed across the ruined stones. The body was thrown aside like trash, crashing into broken pillars.
From broken body,he pulled out a token.
Ramos' eyes widened.
He moved instantly, water gathering around him as he prepared to strike.
But the Demi-God did not stay still.
He vanished in a blur, retreating backward while laughing hysterically.
"Get back here, you little—!" Ramos shouted, slashing forward.
"Like hell!" the Demi-God spat back, his laughter echoing unnaturally through the broken sky.
