THE GOD EATER-Chapter 375: Black Star.

It looked like the guardian of darkness was stuck in a dead end, but this was not so because she still had one more card to play.

That card was to spread her wings and fly into the air. It was clear to her enemies that she wanted to escape this encirclement through the sky.

In response to this move, the three cloaked figures rushed over to stop her. But by doing so, they made it so that their shadows got closer to her.

By spreading her wings, she had succeeded in creating a large shadow of herself on the ground. So it was now easier for her shadow to overlap with theirs.

When her shadow met the shadow of one of the cloaked figures, her shadow took control of that shadow and caused the shadow to grow an arm that grabbed hold of the figure.

She did this to two out of the three shadowy figures. This stopped the three of them from encircling her. So she was able to escape by flying away.

The deceiver saw this and cursed. He said, "Damn it. This is not the kind of person I should be fighting."

He felt frustrated about fighting the guardian of darkness because they had similar tools.

There was also the fact that he couldn’t create more darkness, like using the Cloud of Darkness, since the guardian of darkness would only take advantage of it and become more difficult to fight.

Then he sighed in relief and said to himself, ’Fortunately, I am not fighting alone.’

Meanwhile, the guardian of darkness had escaped. But just as she rose into the air, the seer used the Vision Theft Metac on her. This robbed her of her vision without creating a cloud of darkness that she could make use of to hide or escape.

The world guardian lost her vision and couldn’t tell up from down. This forced her to move haphazardly through the air until she crashed into the ground.

The deceiver sighed again in relief when he saw this. Then he sent his clones to swarm the fallen guardian. As for his true body, it was still hidden somewhere in plain sight.

This was the third time that the seer had rendered critical help in the fight. If not for the seer, he would never have been able to lock onto the position of the guardian of darkness and prevent her from escaping through the shadows. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

So without the seer, he wouldn’t be able to fight the guardian of darkness at all, even though he was a deceiver and is also adept at fighting with the power of darkness.

Then the seer had helped him prevent the guardian of darkness from escaping in the form of feathers. Finally, the seer has blinded the guardian of darkness.

These three things have crippled the guardian of darkness. But the guardian of darkness still refused to die.

Since she couldn’t escape through the sky, she decided to escape through the ground. She expended energy to turn her body into black sludge. Then she made the black sludge sink into the ground.

But the seer foiled this plan by using the Laser Eye Metac. This Metac energized the starlight and turned it to shine brightly and heat up rapidly.

All of the light and heat caused the black sludge to evaporate and burn. So if the guardian of darkness remained stubborn in her attempt to escape this way, she would become ashes first.

She didn’t want to be burned to ashes, so the guardian of darkness gave up on this plan. She reverted to her physical form to avoid being burned.

She still hadn’t given up, though. What she did was to create a black star that robbed the world of light.

The black star hung above her like a floating balloon. It was a ball of intangible darkness that took light from the world, instead of producing light. The area under its influence was thus plunged into darkness. It formed a spherical domain of darkness with darkness that was as thick as tar.

When this happened, the deceiver sneered and said, "If I can’t use it, you can’t either."

The black star had blocked out the starlight. So now the guardian of darkness could resume her plan to escape through the ground without worrying about being turned into ashes.

This frustrated the seer, but the deceiver felt as if he had become a fish in water. As the guardian of darkness turned into a sludge, he activated the Darkness Solidification Metac.

The power of the Darkness Solidification Metac spread outwards through the domain of darkness and caused it to become solid rock. Even the sludge that the guardian of darkness had turned into was in danger of turning into darkness.

This power to turn darkness into solif substance was all encompassing throughout the darkness, so even though the guardian of darkness was shifting through the domain of darkness at a speed as fast as light, she was still being slowly assimilated by the darkness.

For now, no one could win. They were in a stalemate, and the person to run out of energy first would be the loser.

This stalemate lasted only a few seconds before it was broken. It was broken by a meteor falling from the sky.

As the meteor approached the black star and the black spherical domain of pitch darkness around it, the hot, burning, and pressurized air in front of the meteor was the first to make contact with the domain of darkness.

The instinct of the black star and its domain of darkness was to swallow the burning air and drain it of all of its light and heat. But the burning hot air contained so much heat and energy that the domain of darkness couldn’t devour it completely.

The domain of darkness could only temporarily suppress the burning air and the hammer at its center. It needed to properly devour all of the heat and light. But this was not to be the case as the hammer approached the surface of the ground.
