THE GOD EATER-Chapter 374: No Injury.
Showing how brave one is is how reputation for being strong is, so she didn’t choose to run away from danger when she encountered it. Instead of running away and looking like a coward to everyone watching her, she rushed ahead to confront the danger.
She controlled one of the fists of the phantom giant to punch the red ball of lightning. The collision between them caused the red ball of lightning to explode. Then cracks appeared all over the giant’s arm.
She looked like she had won in that collision. After all, the ball of lightning was fragile and had exploded. But she still stumbled as if something invisible had struck her.
Even the phantom giant around her had flickered as if it could go out anytime. This was because of the effect of the Sting Metac. As a warrior with an especially weak mind, she was extra vulnerable to this.
As for the fist that punched the ball of lightning, the cracks grew too quickly and spread all over the wall to the shoulder of the phantom giant. Then red lightning surged into the cracks and ground the whole arm into dust.
This turn of events shocked her. She now knew why the guardians had run away at the first sighting of the red ball of lightning. But her surprise quickly turned into excitement.
She looked around in excitement and said, "Who is this strong foe?"
She got her answer when she saw what appeared to be someone wearing a mech flying after the two guardians. This person was shooting at the two guardians.
What she saw angered her because this person had ignored her, and she didn’t like that. There was also the fact that this person was trying to kill the two guardians that she had designated for a beat down from her fists.
So her eyes glinted sharply as she said to herself, ’This must be the rank 4 forger. He is strong, but not overwhelmingly so. His attack is just weird.’
’His red lightning is indeed dangerous, but with this kind of power, he can’t kill me. That means I have a chance to defeat the person who defeated and killed Sheila.’
She wanted to fight the rank 4 forger, but the rank 4 forger didn’t seem to be interested in her. Since the rank 4 forger wasn’t willing to pay attention to her, she decided to force him to do so.
So without waiting for her destroyed arm to heal, she rushed at the rank 4 forger. At the back of her mind, she wondered why the injury to the phantom giant wasn’t healing as fast as it should. But she didn’t dwell on this particular thing for too long.
The feet of the phantom giant smashed against the ground in a rhythmic fashion as the phantom giant closed in on Loki. But before the phantom giant could reach Loki, Ocelot felt pain in the back of her head.
The pain was so much that Ocelot quickly lost consciousness. She didn’t have the time and energy to resist her. She didn’t even know what was going on.
Only the bystanders who had been watching the proceedings of the fight carefully noticed what went wrong. The bystanders saw the shadow of the giant behind it morph and shift into a sharp spear. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
This spear was made of darkness. It grew out of the shadow and stabbed into the giant.
There was no resistance because the black spear didn’t seem to be made of physical matter. So the black spear was able to penetrate the body of the phantom giant and stab Ocelot at the base of her neck.
It was at this point that Ocelot felt pain. But it was too late. The black spear penetrated the base of her neck into her skull and came out through her forehead. This was what caused her to lose consciousness.
Then the black spear exploded in her skull and shattered her mind. This ensures that Ocelot wouldn’t be able to wake up from her unconscious state. So she died just like that.
With Ocelot dead, the phantom giant dispersed. Her body fell to the ground intact. There didn’t appear to be any injury to her, but she was beyond dead at this point. Only the shadow of the phantom giant still remained.
The shadow of the phantom giant lingered for a while. But it too was dispersing after a second. But a white starlight shone from the sky onto her shadow.
The white star light locked onto the shadow and revealed the figure of a black feathered bird person. This was the guardian of darkness.
The guardian of darkness was startled when the starlight exposed its position. She looked up at the sky and said in realization, "It must be you. You exposed our position."
But the person she was speaking to didn’t reply. They remained hidden in the sky.
Just as the guardian of darkness wanted to escape, a stone nearby transformed into a cloaked enemy. The cloaked enemy caught her off guard and stabbed at her with a knife.
In order to avoid the attack, she dispersed herself into feathers that scattered into the surroundings. The feathers were light and should have easily been swept away by the wind across a large distance, where she could recombine in safety. But this couldn’t happen because of the starlight.
The starlight forced her to reveal herself shortly after dispersing. So she didn’t go far before the feathers recombined into her true body.
Just as she reappeared, a second figure appeared nearby and stabbed at her. So she scattered herself into feathers again.
But she was soon forced back to recombine.
This time, she was forced to reappear faster than before. And a third figure had appeared long before she reappeared and was waiting for her.
There were three black and cloaked figures now, and they were all lunging at her with their knives ready to stab her. Their speed was such that if she blinked, she would miss the moment she was stabbed.
