The large size of the Mind Node also means that his use of the Hypnotize Metac can easily saturate the outer mind of the python.

The Hypnotize Metac releases instructions into the mind of the target, which override their thoughts and instincts. It behaves like a second voice in the mind that is more compelling and will drown out the original inner voice of the target.

If the Hypnotize Metac were to be used from outside of the mind, it would have to overcome the defenses of the mind before it could take effect. But by using the Hypnotize Metac from the Mind Node, he can bypass the defense of the Mind completely and easily take over the position of the dominant inner voice of the mind.

So he was easily able to make the python calm down with the Hypnotize Metac than if he had used the Metac face-to-face. During this process, he used the Thoughts Reading Metac to figure out the identity of the python and what it is doing here.

After knowing all that he needed to do, he used the Hypnotize Metac to say, "Have you seen any humans around here?"

This question transformed into an inner voice that the python could understand. And since it was an inner voice, it felt as if the python was questioning itself. So it didn’t suspect the question at all and wouldn’t have suspected it if it were a more intelligent being. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

What the python did next was to think about the question and conjure images of humans. Then it thought back to when it saw those humans.

As it was doing all of these, information swelled from the third layer to the second layer and to the first layer. This had to happen because the python was thinking, and thinking could only be done in the first layer of the mind.

Loki sifted through all of the fragments of information with the Thought Reading Metac as they came up from down below. When he didn’t find what he wanted, he continued to urge the python to try harder.

After a few seconds, he found what he was looking for. But the information wasn’t recent. The last time the python saw a human was more than a week ago.

The human in the image of the python was unrecognizable and looked like a fuzzy humanoid being made of splashes of color representing various heat and smells.

This made him say, "I can’t tell what this person looks like, but I am sure that this is not one of us. After all, we just entered this world today, not a week ago."

"The way to earn merit points is to kill people from the other sects or kill the guardians. Since the guardians should have a fixed location and an identity that the inhabitants of this world should know, I should find the world guardians first."

"As for the people from the other sects, I will kill them when I come across them. And if I come across a rank 5 cultivator, what can they do to me?"

As he asked that question, he laughed triumphantly in his burrow in the ground. He is truly proud of this method of fighting, even though it is weaker and slower than his usual method of fighting and killing.

After making up his mind on what to do, he said to the python, "Find the closest human settlement."

To the python, its inner voice had said, "I should find the closest human settlement."

It didn’t question the instruction at all and immediately executed it. It coiled down from the tree branch and went in search of a human settlement.

Loki didn’t wait for it to find the humans, though. While it was busy, he used the Mind Network from the Mind Node. So he found every mind within a 5,700 radius around the python.

From there, he hijacked the minds of birds and a leopard. He sent all of these creatures in search of human settlements. It was during this search that they encountered a human who was moving very fast.

He saw this human through the eyes of a bird. He was using the Sensory Hijack Metac through the Mind Node of the bird, so he was seeing, hearing, and feeling everything that the bird was experiencing.

Through the eyes of the bird, he saw a white-robed sword man riding a sword. He also saw that the white-robed swordsman was chasing another human riding a mat.

Through the ears of the bird, he heard the white-robed swordsman say, "Do you know where the evil cultivators of the Four Directions Sect are?"

The woman riding the mat said, "Go west to the golden cloud of coins. They are going there to congregate around a rank 5 cultivator of theirs. If you want to kill them, you should hurry because they are already being besieged."

The white-robed swordsman was also a woman. She nodded and said to the other person, "Thank you for the directions. I will go now to rid the world of evil."

Then she sped off in another direction. The direction she was going was exactly the place where the manifestation of the golden cloud of coins was hanging brightly in the sky.

The two cultivators didn’t fight. Instead, one of them asked for directions for another sect. Then he went to kill the people of the other sect.

This made Loki angry. He said, "This is not fair at all. You two should cut each other up, not work together like this."

As he grumbled to himself, he made the bird chase after the woman on the mat. As for the swordsman, he already has plans for that.

The swordsman is going to the location of the money cultivator, which is close to his position. As fate would have it, she is coming in his direction to reach the money cultivator.

So before she arrived at his location, he had already used the Mind Network Metac and lay in wait.
