He even created a thin mental thread and extended it in the direction she would be coming from.

He was setting up an ambush, and it is a sloppy one that another Mind Hunter would be able to see and easily avoid. But for those who can’t see mental objects, his trap is a carefully crafted one that can’t be avoided.

The female swordsman walked right into the trap. She was flying one moment when her mind froze, and she fell from her flying sword.

Even as she was falling to the ground, she didn’t notice, and she didn’t try to do anything to stop her fall. She continued to fall until she hit the ground and cracked the ground wide open.

Despite looking delicate, it was the ground that suffered when she fell into it. Her fall formed a crater in the ground that was so large that it looked like a giant had fallen.

But even after falling to the ground, she still didn’t move. However, a lot was going on in her mind.

Her mind was like a lake of water. The lake was supposed to be moving and rippling with tiny waves, but all of that was absent at the moment, and the lake was completely still.

The layer of fog on top of her mind was also still. Even the sword above her mind, poised to strike anything that comes near her, was frozen mid-strike. The only thing moving in her mind was the white thread of mental energy.

The white thread was actually a large, thick, white rope. But compared to the size of her mind, it looked like a thin thread.

The white rope broke through the fog layer and went down to the surface of the lake. It pierced the surface of the lake and sank into the depths.

The white rope quickly reached the bottom, where it met solid ground. It couldn’t pierce this solid layer, so it stopped here. Then it broke at the point where the rope met the surface of the lake.

After breaking at that point, the rope entered the lake again and went to its depth. Meanwhile, the part of the rope that was already in the lake after it broke off began to swell. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

This broken section of the rope swelled into a giant pillar, and it expanded even further to become a large sphere. The same thing happened to the second broken section of the rope, so two swollen balls appeared in the lake.

The two balls were so big that they were touching the bottom of the lake and reaching up to the surface of the fog on top of the lake. But Loki wasn’t satisfied with this.

He made the thick rope break off many times into the lake and swell to form many white round balls. He didn’t stop until there were a total of eleven large white balls in the lake.

Of these eleven white balls, one was translucent and hollow. So it could be seen that it is empty inside. This made it look like a portal leading to an unknown darkness.

As for the other ten white spheres, they were solid and opaque. So they resembled solid rock. They were also vibrating as if there was something within them that was excited and wanted to be released.

After doing this, Loki finally deactivated the Mind Freeze Metac. The fog and the lake became active immediately.

The fog was the most active. A powerful wind moved through it and whipped it up into a storm.

From that storm, Loki heard a single sentence, "What is going on?"

He also felt fear, pain, and panic. So he activated the Hypnotize Metac.

Meanwhile, the sword above the lake dove down through the fog to the surface of the lake. Then it targeted one of the solid spherical rocks and began slashing at it.

As it slashed at the spherical rocks, cuts opened on the surface of the rocks. But the cuts were shallow, and the damage was quickly healed by Loki.

This didn’t discourage the sword, though. It continued to hack and slash at the sphere.

This made Loki say to himself, "You’re barking up the wrong tree. Even if you succeed in breaking it open, it won’t be good for you."

Then he used the Hypnotize Metac to say, "Relax. There is nothing to worry about. I just blacked out for a while. Everything is alright."

His voice came out of the hollow sphere and led to the creation of an even stronger wind that swept through the fog and scattered the storm that was brewing within the fog.

The wind his voice created was very strong, but it didn’t rile up the fog. Instead, it made the fog calm down and become gentle.

In the real world, the swordsman was holding her head and scanning her surroundings for a threat. Her face was full of fear, and her eyes were full of wariness as she checked her surroundings.

But, suddenly, all the fear and wariness disappeared. Then she said to herself, "Everything is fine. I just blacked out for a minute."

She didn’t ask why she blacked out in the first place or consider that blacking out was abnormal. She just accepted that everything was fine, and her face became calm.

Even the maniac sword in her mind stopped hacking and slashing. It returned to its position above the fog and began doing its job as a sentry.

If Loki wanted to kill her, he could kill her with a single thought. But of course, that’s not enough to satisfy him.

He said with the Hypnotize Metac, "It is unfair that everyone is ganging up on the Four Directions Sect like this. It will be an evil behavior for me to condone such an action."

"What I should do is even the playing field. I should uphold the precepts of fairness and kill anyone who tries to cheat and bully people."

His voice boomed in her mind like thunder. It was continuous thunder, too, so it sounded again and again.
