The Leviathan couldn’t believe he was back. Ezelreth. P

He looked around the room. It was trashed, broken chairs, cracked pillars.

The Leviathan had some memory of the time of the dark war. But Artemis had also altered and clouded his memory. Leaving only what was necessary. And now he understood why. Because he needed to help the world find her daughter. Artemis knew. He was convinced.

"What the fuck just happened?" Lilith and Ash yelled simultaneously.

"And who the fuck are you?" Ash snapped at the man his wife attacked. Like it was his fault his wife was off the hinges.

"Watch your tone with me young cold blood, I eat beings more powerful than you for breakfast." The Leviathan barked aggressively with Ash,

The Leviathan released a heavy aura one that radiated ancient and powerful magic. Something far older than Ash has ever encountered.

Ash didn’t cower, but he shut up, nonetheless. He was older now and knew better than to run in headfirst with no knowledge of his opponent, especially one with such old energy.

There was a moment of stretched and odd silence. As everyone in the room processed what just happened and that some could insult Ash and shut him up with one sentence. That alone was an incredible feat.

Lilith spoke first awkwardly shattering the silence "Leviathan, explain." It was a harsh demand more than a question.

"Leviathan? You brought it back?" Vlad yelled.

The Leviathan broke out in a loud unapologetic laughter.

"I fail to find what’s so funny about this whole situation." Jeremy growled low, annoyed with the whole careless air about the Leviathan. How could someone be so calm when faced with the royal family of vampires. Jeremy thought ’Either this guy is stupid or ballsy’

"Because you’re not old enough to appreciate the irony in something going full circle. Sit down youngest of the royal brothers, let the adults talk." The Leviathan answered smugly.

Jeremy’s eyes glowed red with anger, ’The audacity of this guy to talk to them like he owned the world.’

"Okay, let’s stop clawing at each other’s throats and get to the bottom of this." Gabriel, the voice of reason spoke.

Jeremy rolled his eyes and Rosa was confused. She’s known Violet has been very different, however the way she spoke and acted, even with the recent changes she’s never been that rash especially over something like that. Violet’s sudden possessive behavior was a huge flip from the new norm.

"I hadn’t gotten the chance to introduce him, but since he made such a dramatic entrance, you all now know I have brought the Leviathan to camp. He is here to help." Lilith informed them.

"And by the looks of it, you need it more than I realized." He snipped at them, bothered by their greetings, and how little respect they had for beings as old as time.

"What do you mean by that?" Rosa finally asked. She felt an ominous tone with the way he was speaking; she started to put pieces together.

"You know why I here, it is exactly what you’re thinking." The Leviathan looked Rosa in the eyes, holding her gaze. She gulped. His eyes looked old and deep, like the world could fit inside them.

"Violet... You’re here because of her. Aren’t you?" Rosa said the words she’s been thinking out loud.

Everyone looked at her surprised.

"Yes." He nodded, his face emotionless and voice flat.

"Excuse me? What about Violet?" Ash growled, eyes flickering from silver to red.

"That woman back there. She’s the enemy now." The Leviathan was too casual in the way he spoke; it pissed everyone off at the table.

Ash slammed his hands on the table, cracking the wood. "The fuck do you mean my wife is the enemy?" Ash was in denial; he was refusing to see the possibility.

"Violet can’t be the enemy. She’s one of us." Lilith defended.

"She is history repeating itself, she is the leader of the last war. She will make an unstoppable army seeking vengeance on all of life."

"That’s not Violet, no matter how twisted she’s gotten. That’s not who she is deep down." But even as Ash said this, he started to doubt himself.

"She isn’t just Violet anymore, shes transformed." The Leviathan was still beating around the bush, and it was starting to piss Jeremy and Ash off.

"Then who is she?" Oliver asking the million dollar question.

"Before I say, you need to understand something. She didn’t just become possessed; this was destined. There’s a reason she’s the first energy vampire in millennia’s; there’s a reason she’s dipped her toes into the darkness. Because loss hollowed her. It opened her up for something else. Something that only she can host." The Leviathan began. "She is hosting the soul of the DarkSon."

He let a heavy silence hang thick in the air.

"She is hosting Ezelreth, the son of Cerberus, the God of Darkness and Death. He is the first energy vampire, contrary to the current popular belief." The Leviathan dropped a heavy bomb. And the mention of Ezelreth put a wrench in Lilith’s heart. A profound ache nuzzled into chest, taking root and consuming her.

She remembered the name but couldn’t place it.

"Who the fuck is that? And how do you know?" Ash growled, ready to tear the Leviathan’s throat out.

"He is the enemy, which makes Violet the enemy. She will create an army of monsters that will flood the planet like a plague. If she is not stopped and the soul is not extracted and contained, it will devour her soul, making her no more, taking her out of the cycle, it will simply cease to exist." The Leviathan had a more serious tone now, his eyes narrowed as he looked at the faces that surrounded him.

Ash was caught in a web of confusion and disbelief. He knew his wife, he knew her. But she’s been acting different, and then she came back the other night and she smelled different. She smelled like death. And her eyes, they were slitted, like a dragon’s. And then there was the fact she mentioned an army of monsters with no will of their own, driven by hunger and insanity.

The more he thought about it, the more it added up. And as he looked around the room at his family, it seemed like they all came to the same conclusion.

Ash gathered himself and asked "So how do we stop him? How do you even trap the spirit of the son of a god?"

"With two things, a stone I don’t know the name of, and the daughter of Artemis the Goddess of the Moon and Hunt. The perfect counter to the DarkSon. The MoonChild."
