Chapter 286: Your Body Yearns For Me.

Two weeks later, in the cozy confines of one of the apartments in Fairview Villa, Shawn reclined on the couch, feigning discomfort.

"It’s so painful here, babe. Please can you give it a warm massage to ease the pain?" Shawn called out to Kathleen who had been forced to take care of him by her parents.

It’s been five days already since Shawn was discharged from the hospital and shamelessly made his abode at Fairview Villa- according to Kathleen.

Now she has to take care of him every morning before going about her day’s business and in the evenings before retiring to bed.

When she had requested for a nurse to accompany them home, he had vehemently refused and to make matters worse, her parents even supported him with the flimsy excuse that he was her savior as if she hadn’t done enough to thank him. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

If not that she had forgiven him and was ready to put up with them, there is no way she would have humored Shawn and her parents, especially her mother, to play their game.

Kathleen, not buying into his act, crossed her arms. "I will just give you some pain reliever before I leave, if it is that painful."

"But your massages work wonders. Come on, just a quick one."

Kathleen shook her head, "Nope. Take the pill instead and you’ll be fine."

"You know I hate taking drugs yet you insist on giving me drugs all the time," Shawn complained, his mouth coming together in a pout, attempting to look pitiful.

"Maybe I should get Eleanor to help you with the drugs," Kathleen suggested, making her way towards the door.

"Shawn’s eyes widened at the unexpected turn. "No, no, I can manage... I think the pain has subsided."

Kathleen couldn’t help but roll her eyes at his drama.

"Are you sure about that?" She asked as she tried to hide her smile behind a worried expression.

Shawn nodded eagerly and they both burst into laughter.

"Are you that scared of your little doctor Eleanor?" Kathleen teased. "I bet her method of administering medicine is still the best— It saves everyone time."

Shawn suddenly felt a chill when he thought of the whole ’here comes the airplane’ routine, before Eleanor would shove everything down his throat and force him to swallow everything at a go, while he trying to prove that he was a hero would have no choice but play along.

Seeing Shawn’s countenance, Kathleen chuckled, "Oh yes! You’re definitely scared. But you’d better not show it in her presence. She believes she is a little doctor in the making."

"So how is the pain now?"

"Gone," Shawn replied without thinking.

Kathleen raised an eyebrow. "That fast? Are you sure? I thought you were joking earlier."

"Yes, I’m sure. I can even lift some things by myself," Shawn boasted.

"Really?" Kathleen asked with an amused smile.

An idea suddenly propped up in Shawn’s mind. "Do you want me to show you?"

"Mm-hmm."

"Come closer then."

Not trusting Shawn one bit, Kathleen asked suspiciously, "Why do I need to come closer?"

"What’s with that look? The last time I checked I was still an invalid recuperating under your exceptional care." Shawn looked so innocent that Kathleen was tempted to believe him.

"I can watch you from here," Kathleen said warily.

"But I need you to be closer so that if I over exact myself you can always help me out."

"Oh, I understand. But on second thought, I don’t want you to show me anymore."

"But I want to," Shawn insisted. "At least that way you will not feel that I am useless."

"I never said you were useless."

"Then prove it. It is obvious you don’t believe I can do anything yet."

"Alright." Kathleen said and reluctantly moved closer, howbeit, she was still on guard against Shawn.

But before she could say Jack Robinson, Shawn lunged forward and swept her off her feet. She was so shocked by the sudden loss of gravity that she had no choice but to grab onto Shawn’s neck as they both landed on the couch.

"Ouch," she heard Shawn groan and instantly her giddiness vanished.

"What have you done to yourself? I warned you but you wouldn’t listen," Kathleen struggled from his arms to stand on her feet as she glared at Shawn, however, her eyes still carried some traces of concern.

"Where does it hurt?" She asked worriedly.

"I, I think it’s around here," Shawn winced, pointing to his chest.

"Of course it is bound to hurt," Kathleen scolded and bent over Shawn to touch his chest.

Impatient, she ripped open his shirt which was in the way as she peered down at the site that was stitched.

She was so focused on checking the wound that she did not notice the mischievous glint in Shawn’s eyes as she traced the edges of the bandage with a delicate touch.

"Luckily it didn’t open up," she said in relief, unaware of the storm that her touch had brewed and she failed to notice Shawn’s hand reaching up to gently cup her cheek.

The unexpected touch made her look up, meeting Shawn’s gaze that had turned dark with desire.

Alarmed by what she saw in his eyes, she withdrew her hand, but it was already too late as the next second, her lips were captured by Shawn’s lips in a passionate kiss.

Kathleen, initially taken aback, felt a surge of warmth coursing through her. Instinctively, she attempted to pull away, but the force of the kiss held her captive.

And before long she found herself responding to it. All the pent up emotions she’s been bottling for so long rushed out seeking for an outlet in that single kiss.

As she allowed herself to respond to the kiss, she felt a wild intensity to the kiss as Shawn’s desire seemed to escalate and he shoved his hand under her blouse.

The touch of his hand on her skin sent Kathleen to a whole new level of pleasure as she opened her mouth for his tongue to explore.

Their lips moved in sync, a silent expression of their shared feelings that words couldn’t express.

As Shawn deepened the kiss, Kathleen surrendered completely, allowing herself to be enveloped by

the sweetness of the kiss.

Shawn broke the kiss when he sensed that Kathleen needed to catch her breath. "I love you Kathleen," he whispered in her left ear.

Time seemed to stand still as they gazed into each other’s eyes. Kathleen’s usual violet eyes was now a deep purple and Shawn could literally see the desire he also felt mirrored in Kathleen’s eyes.

His mouth descended on hers again and she didn’t know when the buttons of her shirt were opened, exposing her black lacy bra.

As Shawn moved his mouth from her lips and started showering kisses on her graceful swan-like neck, down to her exposed cleavage she let out a deep moan.

"Damn, Kathleen!" Shawn was beside himself as he wanted to take her there and then. He felt a throbbing heat in his groin and guided Kathleen’s hand to rest on it.

Somehow, Kathleen’s reasoning chose to return at that moment and as soon as she understood what it was, she instantly withdrew her hand from the huge bulge that threatened to burst out of his pants.

Shawn was reminded at that crucial moment that Kathleen was yet to forgive him and reluctantly pulled away as he didn’t want to do anything that she would regret later.

"Babe, I know you want this as much as I do, but I’ll have to wait until you completely forgive me and offer yourself willingly to me."

"That’s not true," Kathleen denied, her voice still raspy with desire.

Shawn chuckled. "Your mouth says one thing but your body clearly yearns for me."

"That’s just your mind deceiving you."

"How then do you explain the kiss we just shared or should I prove it to you again?" Shawn said, leaning in for another kiss.

"What do you want to do? Stay away from me or I’ll scream," Kathleen warned, her face full of embarrassment.

"Save the screaming till the day you’re finally under me and I assure you, it would be the loveliest sound you ever made."

Kathleen’s face blushed a deep red. "Aren’t you shameless, uttering those filthy words from your mouth?"

"Why would I be ashamed when I’m sharing a beautiful moment with my sexy wife who can’t seem to have enough of me?"

"Fuck you Shawn Hudson," Kathleen threw back totally disappointed with herself because what Shawn said was the absolute truth.

’How can I be this useless? Just one kiss from him and all my resolve to hide my feelings from him melted like a cone of ice cream subjected to intense heat.’

Responding to Kathleen’s comment, Shawn’s lips curved in an amused smile. "I’d very much love to, but this is not the right time as the children might barge in at any moment." Shawn said regrettably.
