Theodora had finished explaining things to her wolf, who had become weirdly silent after.
She turned off the shower and moved to put on fresh clothes when she recalled she hadn’t brought in a fresh change.
Damn it!
"Zeke?" She called softly behind the door, dripping naked.
"Hellcat," His deep voice returned her call.
"Uhm, could you pass me a fresh pair of pants and a shirt?"
He went quiet, then, "What?"
"I forgot to bring a pair with me," She explained.
"Just put on a towel," He said.
She looked down at herself. She was in male form, but her chest wasn’t exactly sucked in completely, and wrapping a towel around her chest and walking out of the bathroom like that would be so weird
"I didn’t bring a towel," She said.
He paused, "Use mine,"
"Yours?" She asked to be sure she heard him right.
"Yes, Mine!" He said, emphasising the word ’Mine!’
She stood there, still wondering if she heard him right. Had someone else taken over Zeke’s body or what?
"What’s wrong?" She heard him hiss from outside, "You can wear the warden’s clothes but you can’t put on the wolf’s fur?"
He was referring to Sylas. And was that a tad of... jealousy she was hearing? Unbelievable!
She turned to the side where his towel was hung, and bit her lips softly, "But...Rule number two says never to touch your things,"
"Stupid rules...," She heard him murmur to himself, "Well, today’s an exception. You’re allowed to touch my towel,"
"Alright," She paused, then tried again, "But I just need the clothes..."
"Use the Goddamn towel!" He snapped.
She sighed deeply, then grabbed his towel and wrapped it around her chest. It barely covered her butt, and she groaned at herself. Was she really going to just walk out there like this?!

*Ugh! Shut up!*
Theo softly opened the bathroom door and peeked. Zeke was lying on his bed, staring intensely at the ceiling. He glanced at the door the moment she opened it, and their eyes met.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Nothing," She murmured, then she forced her legs to move.
She stepped out of the bathroom, the towel wrapped around her chest and her wet hair clinging to her face. There was a slight blush to her cheeks as she tried pretending none of it was happening as she walked over to her side of the room.
She heard him push up from his bed, and she could also feel his gaze on her. Every part of her that he looked at burned with a consuming depth, especially her thighs, her face and her shoulders.
Why did he have to stare like that?
She pretended not to notice, even though her hands trembled as she quickly reached out and grabbed some fresh clothes to wear.
"Hellcat,"
Her heart skipped a beat, and heat rolled down her spine. She turned just enough to face him, and he wasn’t on his bed anymore. At some point, God knows when, he had stood up and was now a few feet away.
The orange in his eyes had turned molten, looking almost brown and the dark part burned with restrained hunger.
Hunger? Her throat went dry. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"What is it?" She asked, her voice suddenly small.
His gaze roamed around her body deliberately, dragging over her face, her hair, her shoulders, her legs, her throat. She heard him inhale once, and then a low hum travelled up his throat.
"Why do you look like that?" He asked.
Her pulse spiked, "What do I look like?"
"Like...that, in my towel,"
She looked down at herself. She didn’t look any different, "What do you mean?"
"It means you look...," His jaw shifted like the answer would cost him, "It’s just that I can’t...," He cut himself off, clenching his teeth like he was tired of talking, "Just come here, Hellcat,"
"Why?" She breathed
He didn’t answer. Instead, he closed the distance between them and sat right next to her on the bed. The space between them snapped tight like a rope, and Theo could already hear Seraphina humming softly beneath her skin.
"Zeke...,"
His gaze flickered to her wet lips, and back to her face, "I’ve tried so hard, Hellcat," He admitted, the hunger in his eyes flaring, "But I can’t hold myself back anymore,"
"I...is it the towel?"
"It’s not the towel!" He growled softly, "It’s how good it looks on you,"
He kept coming closer, forcing her to inch her head up a little just to keep looking at him. The thoughts she was having right now made her swallow, and the towel suddenly felt like a flimsy barrier she shouldn’t have worn at all.
"I’m going to...wear my clothes now," She whispered.
"No!" He replied instantly
"N...no?"
"I don’t know why you keep acting like you don’t know...what you’re doing to me,"
Of course she didn’t!
Her eyes widened, "I don’t know...I wasn’t trying to...,"
"I know," He leaned in, and all she could hear now was her heartbeat in her ears, "That’s what makes it worse, Hellcat," He whispered hoarsely.
His breath mingled with hers, hot and smoky, and his lips hovered over her mouth. Her chest rose and fell too quickly, her thoughts scattered.
He was trying to hold himself still.
But barely.
Maybe it was the overwhelming heat of his body, or the way he looked at her like he wanted to tear something apart, but she leaned back half an inch, uncertain, shy and panicking.
Zeke froze, every muscle going tight. He didn’t go after her, but just stared at her with that wild, hunger flicker in his eyes.
She watched his chest rise and fall, and made the mistake of looking at his lips.
Her breath trembled, and her body moved before she could think at all.
Purely on instinct, she surged forward and pressed her lips against his. The moment their lips came in contact, something heated rolled between both of them, and Theo quickly jerked back, terrified at what she’d just done.
"Oh God," She curled her fingers around the sheets, "That was... I would never...,"
Zeke cut her off, "I would,"
He grabbed her face with both hands and his lips crashed against hers as all the restraint he’s been fighting finally shattered.
