The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy-Chapter 167: Night of the Play
It was the Night of the Play.
Theodora has been running around the school since daybreak, trying to get everything ready for the big night
The play was scheduled to last for just two hours, and everyone was currently getting dressed in the rooms. Props and lights were being set on stage by Theo as people started to gather for the play, and she looked so enthusiastic doing it all.
All of Jocelyn’s yells and insults didn’t matter anymore, and Theo finished setting up everything right on time. Now, it was time for her to go and put on her costume.
As she walked behind the curtains, Heather came stomping down to her like she was about to make all hell break loose.
"I thought I told you to ruin Ava’s dress?!" She whispered angrily, "You were supposed to do something so simple and you didn’t!"
"Because I didn’t want to!" Theo snapped back, "Ava is gonna be Lyra, and you’re going to have to deal with it,"
"If Ava walks out there as Lyra, I promise you’ll be walking out of Gravemont quite soon yourself,"
"You said it’s Zeke you want, and everyone knows you and Zeke have been together for the past few days now. I did that for you. So why not just leave Ava alone?"
Heather scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest, "Are you kidding me? You think I don’t notice how jealous you get whenever you see Zeke and me together? For all I know, you’re gonna try and break us up! And as for Ava, she doesn’t deserve to be Lyra. I do!"
"Then why not tell Jocelyn about that? Maybe she could put in a word and change your roles!"
Heather smiled wickedly, "Oh, trust me. Jocelyn is already on point with me,"
"What?"
"I spoke to her a few days ago. I told her that I overheard Ava saying something about ruining her costume so she doesn’t have to come out as Lyra. And she believed me. I told her that I had mastered Ava’s lines and even had a similar dress like the costumes that I could wear and be Lyra of something were to happen on the night of the play," Her gaze turned vicious and she took a threatening step forward, "So, Dora, you have to sabotage that dress for me, or I’ll ask someone else to do something and no matter how it turns out, I’m gonna have you walking out of this school in chains and bruises for your fraud, so make the right decision before i make it for you!"
Theo’s hands curled into fists as Heather walked off in her maid costume. Theo had already reassured Heather that she would not have to ruin her costume now that Zeke was with Heather, but Heather was still hellbent on coming out as Lyra.
"Hey!" Someone yelled for her from behind.
Theodora recognised the voice and her fists curled even tighter. She was already angry with Heather and wasn’t sure she could handle someone else right now without punching them.
"Thad, I’m talking to you!"
Theo forced a neutral look and faced Jocelyn, "Yes, Ma’am?"
"What the hell do you think you’re doing standing there?!" She looked pissed. She wasn’t bothering to hide the look with fake sincerity or honesty these days.
"I have everything ready for the play," Theo said, "I’m about to go and change into my costume,"
"What costume?" Jocelyn questioned, her lips curling on one end.
Theo’s eyes widened, "What does that question mean? It’s almost time for the play to start and I’m going to change,"
Her eyes twinkled with mischief, "Are you?!" She laughed hysterically, triumph swirling in her eyes, "Did no one tell you? You’re no longer playing Aeron tonight. That character was transferred to someone else,"
"What??!"
"Yeah," She nodded once, "The school decided you weren’t a good fit for Aeron. Your acting is just terrible and Aeron is a very important character in the play. We needed someone who would make him shine!" She grinned.
"The school decided?" Theo scoffed angrily, "Or maybe you did!"
Jocelyn smirked, "Bingo, you little twerp. I’ve been secretly giving another boy in your class acting lessons to take your place. He has mastered all your lines and everything you’re supposed to do," She paused, letting the anger sink further into Theo’s veins, "But don’t worry, I have no intentions of kicking you out there into the crowd like that. You’re gonna be in charge of lights even during the play, and you’ll also be responsible for opening and closing the curtains,"
Just like that, everything she’s done so far has gone down the drain? So basically, Jocelyn just made her do free work all this time while knowing she was no longer going to be Aeron?
Theo glared right into her eyes. She didn’t even bother to hide it this time.
And that earned her a sharp hit from the woman. Jocelyn slapped her on the face so hard that Theo’s face turned the other side, and the lady’s fingerprint began forming on Theo’s cheeks.
"Don’t you dare look at me like that!" Jocelyn snapped, "You know exactly what you did to bring this upon yourself! You should never have interrupted my time with Sylas. You should have walked out the moment I asked you to, but as a male, you think you rule the world and you had the audacity to make me leave. You forgot that I’m a teacher, and not only am I a teacher, but also the Commandant’s niece, and I have power here at Gravemont," She suddenly gripped Theo’s chin roughly, forcing her to look into her eyes, "I’ll make sure I spend every day here before I leave, making you do every dirty work by the sidelines. You’re gonna deeply regret making me lose my chance with Sylas Veylor that evening, I promise you!"
There was only so much Theo could take. It was already so obvious Jocelyn was trying to seduce Sylas that night, but hearing her actually admit it to her face was another level of anger added to what had been brewing in Theo for the past few days. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
And Theo snapped at that moment.
One second, Jocelyn was holding her by the chin and spitting all over her face, the next, Jocelyn was gasping and falling a few steps away from Theo on her back with a bleeding, broken nose.
