Chapter 160: Seraphina’s Past

Ominous.

Theodora froze, the fear spreading through her limbs fast. Slowly, her hand raised to her ear and pressed over it, while the other softly clutched her pendant to check if it was still there.

It was, and so was the voice. She wasn’t hallucinating.

*S...s... Seraphina, w...was that y...you?*

*No* Seraphina replied, her voice choked with a deep sense of alarm, *But I know that voice, Theo. I know it so well*

*I know your voice too, Silver* It replied, making Theo and Seraphina freeze again, *I can’t believe you’re our wolf in this lifetime. How...ironic!*

*Shut up!!* Seraphina yelled, her breathing harsh and uneven, *Go back to sleep. How are you even speaking in the first place?!*

*You shut up, Silver* It replied.

There was an actual conversation going on in Theo’s head right now, and something about these two reminded her a little of Sylas and Zeke. Were they also sworn enemies or something?!

And the bite on her neck still tingled. Her arguing wolf was making it worse, and with this new, unprecedented development, it didn’t seem like the bite was going to go away by the end of the day.

*How are you speaking right now?!* Theo demanded, both hands now holding the pendant to stop the glow from catching too much attention from the students around her, *You’re supposed to be locked inside of me!*

*Till you got bit!* The demon hissed.

*Shut up, I’ll explain it to her myself!* Seraphina yelled again.

There was a lot of commotion going on in Theo’s head. She had to run into a corner first, then she gripped her head and cursed inwardly.

*Whenever a wolf bites in mark of possession, it triggers heightened emotions and fixes a subtle pull between them for a short while. I believe that the bite was strong enough to trigger her inside of you, enough for you to hear her voice,"

Theo looked back at the pendant. It was still glowing, as if it had no intention of stopping, and the light from it was beginning to burn her palms from clutching it.

*Calm down, Theo* Seraphina said, *It’s rejecting the demon. You’ll be fine. The lights will dim when she shuts the fuck up*

Silence ensured from them. In about a few minutes of it, the glow of the pendant dimmed greatly until it was gone. Theo could still feel her wolf fuming nonstop inside of her, and this time it was much worse than any kind of anger she’s had.

As she finally walked back to her dorm, she asked, *Sera, what’s wrong? Do you really know that demon?*

Seraphina didn’t say anything. Seems like she wasn’t in the mood to speak, but Theo knew she would definitely come around hence she let her wolf be.

There was this shivering fear in her bones as she walked into her room. Zeke was standing by the window and turned around when she walked in. He looked happy to see her, but the way her eyes trembled from terror before she slowly wrapped her hands around his back had him dark with panic.

"Hellcat...," He called softly, "You’re shaking,"

"Yeah," She said against him, "Please, hold me,"

She didn’t have to say it twice. He scooped her up in his arms and sat down on the bed with her. She remained so for a while.

"The...demon," She started softly, "She spoke to me,"

Zeke’s hands tightened around her instinctively and protectively, "How?"

"It was triggered for a moment...," She swallowed, then she reached down and pulled down her collar a bit to reveal the healing mark, "By this,"

She knew he wouldn’t take it lightly, but the way his darkness flared and his veins popped a little dark had her gasping, "Aurelius!!" He cried in rage.

"He was drunk. He didn’t mean it," Theo said, pressing a hand on his shoulders. She recalled the voice again, and her body slipped back into Zeke’s warm embrace, "I’m scared, Zeke,"

"Don’t be," He uttered softly, his body naturally calming down while holding her, "I won’t ever let anything harm you, ever again,"

Theo was feeling better and was currently in the shower. A shower was always the best for her whenever she had a lot to think about, or she had an important conversation with her wolf.

In this case, she had a very important conversation with her wolf and she didn’t think it could wait any longer.

*Talk to me, Seraphina,* she said.

But her wolf remained oddly silent. This happened too the last time, after she had come back to life and told Seraphina about everything that happened with the reflection/demon. Seraphina knew something that she wasn’t telling her, or rather, she was scared of telling her.

"Hellcat," Zeke knocked softly, "You ok in there?"

"Yeah," She smiled, "I’ll be out soon,"

"It’s been over an hour, I’m worried," She saw his reflection hovering by the door, and his forehead softly pressed against it.

"I’ll be out soon, I promise,"

Then, she sighed. If Seraphina wasn’t ready to speak now, then it’ll just have to wait.

Theo reached out to turn off the shower-

*Theodora Hallowell,* Seraphina said so quietly that Theo almost didn’t hear her, and her voice cracked off at the edges like it was difficult for her to say.

Slowly, Theo left the shower on.

*That was her name back then. She was a symbol of strength, and she was the most powerful werewolf of that time, possessing a wolf that surpassed Alpha wolves. When she found out about Alcaeus and what he was doing in his lab, she and a friend of hers with a similar wolf to hers, teamed up to defeat him and stop the progress of anything. But a lot of things happened Theo, and instead of defeating Alcaeus...she joined him. That friend...was forced in the end, to kill her. But a part of her soul still lived, and was reincarnated along with you, as you now know. The name of that werewolf warrior who ended her was Seraphina, and her wolf’s name...was silver. I’m that wolf, Theo. And I’ve been reincarnated as your wolf this time, making me indirectly... her wolf, too,"

Seraphina was the wolf who killed Theo in her past life!!!
