The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy-Chapter 107: First Date
The woman drove away in horror, and Theo glared at her mercilessly as her car disappeared down the road.
She turned back to Zeke, who had finished pumping gas and just stood there smirking at her with his hands crossed.
Theo’s angry face dissolved into red, and she ducked her face.
"You’re jealous," Zeke stated.
She refused to look at him, till he came over and tilted her chin back to his face. He looked too pleased, and his eyes had this sparkle she’s never seen in them before.
"You don’t have to be," He continued softly, "I’m with you, and no one else, remember?"
Heat crept up her face, and she nodded softly. She wanted to lean in and kiss him on the lips, show everyone drooling here that he was with her, and maybe she almost did.
As if Zeke knew what she was thinking, he also looked down at her lips.
"Where are we going from here?" She asked softly, and he tore his gaze back to her eyes.
"My place," He replied.
His place?!
He saw the panic in her eyes, and quickly added, "I promise I won’t do anything. I just want to spend some time with you,"
"It’s a four-day break," She said, "And I have to go home." The last part was a lie.
"Spend two days with me,"
Two days? It was enough for Cain to find out that she and Zeke are together, "A day," She suggested, "One day and I’ll leave,"
"Two days,"
"One day,"
"Three days,"
"Half a day,"
"Four days,"
She stifled a laugh, but eventually let it out, "Zeke, no!"
"Yes," He cupped her face, "I want to be with you. Two days. Please," 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
The ’please’ undid her, and she found herself nodding.
And then, his lips curled on both sides and a smile touched his lips. A genuine, warm smile that touched his eyes, causing her to catch her breath. Zeke has always been mindblowingly good-looking, but that smile might have just caused a rupture in her heart.
Her stomach somersaulted.
In a short while, they were on the road again. It didn’t take up to thirty minutes before they arrived at a city, and Theo instinctively clutched Zeke tighter.
He noticed her tension, and his hackles also rose.
"What’s wrong?" He came to a halt.
She shook her head, "Nothing. Let’s just keep going,"
"Are you sure?"
"I am,"
They drove through the city, and Theo watched everything with one eye.
The town was beautiful and lively. Every human around went on their normal lives, and she was quite envious of them. A werewolf, especially one in a dilemma like hers, can never live a normal life again.
Suddenly, Zeke stopped in front of a building. It was a movie cinema, and he parked his motorcycle and sat down. The moment he took off his helmet again, everyone was staring.
She almost hissed at them.
"What are we doing here?" Theo asked.
"Catching a movie,"
"What?" She smiled, "Do you have tickets?"
He took her hand, and warmth spread through her fingers, "Come with me,"
A few minutes later, both of them were sitting inside the theatre next to each other with a bucket of popcorn and Coke. A comedy film was already playing, and Theo was still laughing at how they had snuck in here.
Zeke was good at it. They had even stolen the popcorn and Coke without getting caught behind the counter.
"This is so fun," She laughed a little too loudly, then quickly covered her mouth as a few people turned to her.
Then, she giggled instead.
Theo’s eyes were focused on the film, gently chewing on the snack every two seconds. The comedy was classic and she laughed so much she almost choked on a popcorn a few times. She’s never been to a cinema before, and had no idea that it could be so fun.
Zeke’s eyes were on her the whole time. He couldn’t help but admire the way her eyes brightened up, and how her laughter brought nothing but peace to his mind.
And to top it all, Hellcat’s beauty. He might have noticed it before, but now that she was laughing and felt so free, there was something strangely... feminine about her.
Was it the way she giggled? Her energy? Or was it because maybe...deep down, a part of him kind of wished Hellcat was actually a girl?
A small kid, maybe nine or ten, slipped into the seat beside Zeke. He was wearing a hoodie with the cap covering almost half his face, and he ducked low like he expected a spotlight to shine on him.
Theo blinked.
Zeke blinked.
The kid stared at both of them with wide, terrified eyes.
Before Theo could speak, Zeke surprised her and leaned down slowly and carefully, the way someone would approach an injured kitten.
"You running from someone?" he asked quietly, voice dropping to a low rumble.
The kid bit his lip and nodded fast.
Zeke didn’t ask more. He didn’t pry.
He just moved.
Without a word, he casually flipped his jacket up and tugged the kid into his side like it was the most normal thing in the world. One arm draped over the kid’s shoulders, warm and protective.
"Alright," Zeke murmured, eyes back on the screen, like this was the simplest equation in the universe, "Sit tight. You’re with me. Nobody touches you,"
Theo’s heart cracked wide open, and something fluttered in her belly again.
She’s never seen this side of Zeke Pendragon. He’s always been the brooding, glaring, powerful bad boy Alpha to her.
The boy stared up at Zeke, confused.
As if he didn’t understand kindness that wasn’t suspicious.
Zeke noticed.
Then he shifted, subtly blocking the aisle with his body so that if anyone came looking, all they’d see was him ~ broad shoulders, dark jacket, and the absolute certainty that he wasn’t moving.
Then, in a voice barely above a whisper, Zeke added, "What’s your name, little man?"
"Kayden," the boy whispered back.
Zeke gave him a tiny, warm smile, "Cool name," he said, gently tightening his arm around him, "If anyone shows up, you say you’re with me. Got it?"
Kayden nodded, small and fierce, like he’d just been given armour.
Theo pressed a hand over her chest.
Seraphina practically sighed.
Her heart was already a flat-out puddling on the theatre floor.
Once the movie was over, they snuck out again the same way they had snuck in. Zeke was holding Kayden’s hand, and the moment they walked out of the building, a teenager came up running to them, worried and sweating. He looked like a bigger version of Kayden.
"Kayden!"
Zeke quickly stepped forward, "And you are?!"
The teenager’s eyes shook with fear, and he stuttered, "I...I’m..,"
"James," Kayden said.
"You know this guy?" Zeke turned to Kayden.
"He’s my brother,"
"You sure?"
Kayden nodded enthusiastically.
Finally, Zeke let go of the little guy’s hand and he skidded over to his big brother. The Teenager still looked scared, grabbed Kayden’s arm and dragged him away from Zeke.
Zeke didn’t seem to mind. Again, it was like he was used to it.
"So," He turned to Theo, "Where were we?"
"Headed to your place," She whispered as they walked up to his bike.
They stopped in front of it, and she faced him properly, "Thank you for the movie. I had a great time,"
"I’m glad our first date went well,"
