The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 206: Crazy Son.
"Esther? Where’s mummy and daddy?" Raine asked, surprise evident in her eyes as she watched Esther walk in with her grandfather.
"Daddy is at home, and mummy is coming," Esther replied, like the clueless girl that she was.
"She is coming?" Raine asked again.
Before Esther could answer, Chris pulled at her hand and smiled gently.
"Go on in, Esther. I will send for you when your mother arrives," he said.
Sensing that something was wrong, Raine waited until Esther was completely out of hearing distance before turning to her husband.
"Hello? Where is Shikera?"
"Gone," was Chris’ simple answer, as he took his seat on one of the couches in the living room.
"Gone where?"
Chris sighed. "How do I tell? I only passed on the message everyone else was hesitant on telling her and before you argue with me, go comfort Esther. She saw something she should not have seen."
Her worry for Esther overshadowing that which she had for Shikera, she asked,"What happened to her?"
"The Jordans attacked, trying to end Shikera since she’s the only link to them I think. Esther was with her then," Chris replied.
"What?! They dared to approach her?? Wait, I’ll be back. I should go check up on Esther."
Raine rushed out of the living room, heading in the direction that Esther had gone.
"One gone, just two more to go," Chris muttered.
His phone pinged with a message and he looked down, frowning when he saw its contents.
"Anyone there?" he called out, and a middle aged woman dressed in a maid uniform emerged from the kitchen to approach him.
"Leave the main house and tell the others to leave too. Those loitering around the house should take a three hours break too," he instructed.
The woman could already tell the reason why they were having an impromptu break in the middle of the day, so she didn’t hesitate in rushing out of the living room to carry out the orders given to her.
Within ten minutes, Chris felt his whole surroundings quiet down, making him know that all the workers had retired to their quarters. The sound of a car tires screeching against the asphalt driveway could not be more prominent at that moment, but even though he knew who the visitor was, he relaxed comfortably on the couch and closed his eyes.
"Are you explaining?" A cold, familiar voice prompted him to open his eyes just two minutes after he closed it.
"You are here, Ethan," Chris smiled. His eyes caught the gun which was now lying on the table, and the corner of his lips stretched more.
"Are you explaining?" Ethan repeated, his dark eyes hardening as they narrowed into slits.
"What do I have to explain, Ethan? Oh...I guess this is about Shikera. There is a more pressing matter at hand so you should just—" His words caught in his throat as Ethan picked up the gun and pointed it straight at him.
"What matter could be more pressing than she is?"
"Ethan! She is just as important but—"
"I don’t need your explanation; just tell me what you told her. Exactly as you told her," he requested, his hand moving slowly to the gun’s trigger. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
"You can’t threaten me, Ethan. I know you won’t pull that trigger. You have an official restriction concerning how you use that gun!"
Ethan nodded nonchalantly, "You are right. But since when do I care about restrictions or what not? You forget what kind of crazy son you have."
Chris had expected that Ethan would relent but when his son kept staring back at him with that cold black gaze, he knew he had to change plans.
"The Jordans are back. Not just one or two that came to kill Shikera but all of them," he paused for a while to see Ethan’s reaction. Noticing the furrow in Ethan’s brow, he could tell that the latter was already succeeding with distracting him.
He continued, "They are really here this time to win or to perish, and I think you might have to end them this time around. You...Ethan."
"Cole?" Ethan called.
"Yes Sir?"
"Is he saying the truth?"
"Ah...yes. I also just got the information now," Cole replied.
Ethan rose to his feet immediately and walked out of the house, stopping momentarily at the door.
"Well, this crazy son here might still have some sense of responsibility to the country and his wife...but not to his father. I signed a contract between DL Corporation and Anderson Corporation...," he paused for a while as if to make sure Chris was listening to him, and from the older man’s displeased expression, he confirmed it.
"And Anderson Corporation will be taking all the profit. Wonderful wedding gift to them, right?"
Without waiting for a response, he stormed out the front doors with Cole trailing after him.
"Take me to the one’s you caught," he ordered as soon as they were in the car.
"Alright, Sir."
Ping!
He looked down to see a notification pop up on his phone, and a smirk crossed his lips.
"Take this, Cole. Switch if off and do not, for any reason, hand it back to me until I’m done with them. Ethan DeLoach doesn’t let others handle his business," he said, throwing the phone to Cole.
"By the way," Ethan added, "Inform Raymond and Ethan of the latest development and request for special troops to guard the DeLoach’s mansion and Miss McCallum’s house, discreetly."
"Noted, Sir."

Shikera made sure that her face was perfectly covered and her body physique excellently obscured by the oversized dress, hoodie, and facemask she was wearing. She pulled her heavy luggage behind her, chiding herself for buying that much clothes when she wanted to be fast as possible.
’Not like I’m going to Mars it Jupiter where there’s no department store,’ she said in her mind.
"The train is here. Won’t you get in?" A loud voice jolted her out of her thoughts.
Shikera turned to see an old woman, probably in her seventies, standing behind her.
