The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 105: Dominant and Submissive

DeLoach Corporation.

Ethan was reading the contract, trying to extract different meanings from every word written in the paper. He had defied the contract without hesitating and now, he was facing the consequences of his action which was having to find ways to battle the repercussions which would start manifesting immediately Liam Anderson caught wind of what was happening.

As he read the contract which had no mentions of what he would gain after the marriage or what would happen if he actually defied the contract rules, he wondered what made him sign the contract.

"Father is here," he heard Enoch’s voice informing him.

"Let him in."

Ethan stood up from his seat and walked to the sofa, enabling his father to sit directly opposite him.

Chris, on the other hand, was not in the mood to sit.

"I heard Raymond accompanied the visiting president out of the country. Anything I need to know?"

"It’s nothing, just a personal visit. Did you come to ask that?" Ethan replied, staring suspiciously at his father.

Chris shook his head in denial, knowing that he would not be able to get any information from Ethan. He could already tell it was the domineering personality talking to him now, and not the polite and submissive one he used to exploit.

Normally, he would wait and observe Ethan’s personality whenever he was talking to him and immediately he found out it was the submissive one in control, he would immediately control and order him.

It was the same thing he did on the day they signed the marriage contract with Shikera, and he was able to avoid telling Ethan what they would gain if the marriage went successful and he divorced Shikera in one year. Also, this was the strategy he implemented whenever he needed his son to do something for him without compromising. As he took his seat in front of his son, memories of that day came rushing into his mind.

THE DAY OF THE CONTRACT SIGNING.

Ethan was sitting at his office in DeLoach’s Corporation, completely oblivious to what was going on in the secretaries office outside his door. It was until Ruthlyn pushed the door open and entered did the noise outside filter into his ears.

"Sir, there is a commotion down in the first floor," she informed him.

"What commotion?"

"Chairman...your father came today but used the main elevator instead of the private one, so one of the new employees thought it was his chance to take a picture."

"Has he been taken care of?" Ethan asked, his face void of any form of emotions.

"Yes Sir, but the employees still speak about it. Should I let it rest or release a public announcement?"

"Let it rest, they should be wise enough to keep their mouths shut in a few hours. Why did he come?"

"That..."

The door swung open and Chris walked in, a wide grin on his face.

"Ethan, how is your day going?"

"Great, until now. Is anything the matter?"

From Ethan’s tone, Chris could already tell that this was the cunning and strict personality so he didn’t go straight to his purpose of coming.

"Absolutely not, I have a private meeting scheduled with some of the directors. Weren’t you informed?" he asked, turning to the door to signal to his own assistant who had followed him here. The assistant nodded immediately and got to work, following the instructions that Chris DeLoach had given him a few minutes ago.

Earlier, Chris had predicted that his son might not be in the submissive personality so he had created an excuse for coming to the headquarters, which was the meeting with the directors. He had decided that if Ethan was in the dominant personality, he would signal to his assistant who would in turn call a selected few of the directors and inform them there was a impromptu meeting.

And that was what the assistant was doing now.

"I was not informed, and if it has nothing to do with me; I don’t care." Came the nonchalant reply.

"How have you been feeling this past few days? I heard Prince Kylian visited you frequently this past few days," Chris changed the topic, attempting to keep a conversation with Ethan so he would notice immediately his personality changed.

"He did, but I’m okay. Would you like to take anything, tea, coffee?" Ethan asked, missing the way Chris’ eyes lit up at his question.

Chris had studied Ethan enough to know that his dominant and cruel part would never bother to offer his father anything, but would instead ignore the man and his questions until he left. But now, Ethan asking him this could only mean he had switched.

Thus, Chris did not waste anytime before addressing his purpose of coming to the office.

"Ethan, I need your help with a pressing matter," he began, assessing his son’s expression. The fact that the latter hadn’t delivered an outright refusal was enough to show Chris that his observation was right.

He continued, "There’s this friend of mine who has been requesting for my help for a long time now, and thing is, it’s not for free. But the problem is that I’m too old to help him."

"Is it something I can do?" Ethan asked simply. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

"Yes...but I don’t think it would be comfortable for you. It’s just like having to take care of another Esther, let’s put it like that."

"What do I have to do?" Ethan asked, going straight to the point.

"You only have to get married to her for a year and in that duration, you take care of her and cook for her. If you’re ready now, Ruth can go get her medical history," Chris’ tone was eager as he wanted to get this over with as fast as possible.

"Can I see her face, at least?" Ethan’s voice was reluctant, as if he was scared of displeasing his father but he relaxed when the man moved nearer to him with his phone in hand.

Looking down at the picture in the man’s hand, Ethan muttered under his breath, "She’s no Esther to me."

"You said something?" Chris asked, and Ethan shook his head in denial.

"When do you need me to do this?"

Chris was elated when he heard that. He wasn’t ready to risk Ethan refusing the proposal when he reverted back to his other self, so he answered, "If you’re not busy, how about...now?"

"Alright," Ethan replied. Looking in Ruthlyn’s direction, he instructed her, "Get Ray, while you stay here for now."

"Yes Sir."
