Chapter 72: Piece

Her fangs dug deep into his flesh, just below the area where Liliana had marked him.

Blood trickled down his shirt in subtle droplets while Lily drank greedily.

Normally a succubus would drain essence from their victim or contractor with a kiss, but it didn’t mean there weren’t other methods.

The kiss was just the most favorable because it gave pure essence.

Lily had bitten Azazel because she couldn’t afford to kiss him, she wasn’t confident in her ability to stop herself if her hunger took over.

Azazel’s head snapped back as he let out what could only be described as a half groan, half moan.

His breaths came out in foggy huffs while his hands leaned against her head pressing her deeper into him.

Lily was positioned directly against him, their bodies were mere inches away from each other.

The pink haired succubus devoured Azazel’s blood, while the redhead on the other hand was breathing even harder.

His eyes grew glassy.

The sensation he was feeling while Lily was feeding on him was just too much to bear, it felt so good, he was starting to think he would lose his mind.

Lily’s lips left his skin, she took in a sharp breath then licked the markings her fang made on his chest.

Her teeth sank into his flesh once more.

This time, Azazel was barely containing himself from making any strange sound but he wasn’t certain how long he could last.

He shuddered.

Lily continued to feed for what felt like ten minutes, then she finally pulled away.

Her chest was heaving, as if she’d been running for miles. Blood trailed down her lips before she finally swallowed the last of it.

Her face was flushed pink while her gaze grew heavy with lowered eyelids.

"Master i—"

"Hah... don’t tell me you’re about to apologize for feeding." Azazel chimed with a scoff.

Azazel’s own breathing had grown uneven, a faint flush creeping across his face as though he was chasing the ghost of the sensation he’d just felt earlier.

"I’ve told you, the pact I made with Liliana naturally extends to you as well, if feeding on my essence is what you want then that’s a small price to pay."

He smiled slowly, but his gaze wasn’t warm.

"Look at me, Lily." He ordered softly.

Lily raised her head carefully allowing her pink eyes to meet his icy blue ones.

"You are my shadow, I made the pact because I needed you and I won’t hesitate to employ your services if I need you so you do the same. If you need to feed, just say so... if you need anything from me, then speak, you’re entitled to that much."

Lily didn’t speak or rather, she couldn’t.

Her body was trembling within his grasp while her temperature had gone up a few degrees.

Azazel let her rest on his body.

He didn’t say anything else, he didn’t need to.

While Lily’s breathing had softened like she was about to fall asleep, Azazel returned his gaze to the city below.

His eyes were cold as he fell deeply into thoughts.

It was funny, even back on earth he had always had a good perception but when he needed it the most, it failed him.

But did it actually fail him or did he just pretend not to notice the signs, perhaps he simply refused to acknowledge it... the fact that someone he had grown up with as a child from the orphanage, someone he’d taken as his brother would ever think to betray him, after all he had been raising the company for both their sake.

’Javier, enjoy whatever life you have now, because I don’t care how long it takes me, even if I have to find your soul in hell, I’ll do it, I’ll make sure I ruin you.’

He exhaled softly then held a few strands of Lily’s hair.

The pink haired succubus had already fallen asleep on him so he let her rest, to others this would have been considered a sign of trust or at least amount to something but Azazel knew that somewhere within Lily’s consciousness... Liliana was watching.

And he really couldn’t understand Lily’s alter ego, the pact demons usually made had loopholes or some sort of clause made to trap the contractor.

But Liliana’s pact didn’t, the conditions of the pact were more favorable to him than it was to her.

It was strange.

Azazel studied the sleeping succubus.

Liliana was strange, but demons often were.

Demons were an eccentric race, it was extremely difficult to figure out what they were thinking.

They were the type of creatures to screw you over simply because you caught their interest and they wanted to see how long it would take you to break.

If you didn’t meet their expectations then they would kill you.

Surpass it then you’d become their favorite plaything, they simply lived as they pleased.

And it went without saying that not all demons served the demon king.

However, Liliana was the daughter of Lilith, her father was basically the demon king so an open rebellion against him was simply not a choice, at least not without a proper ally.

Unlike her elder sister who had deserted the demon realm in the middle of a mission, Liliana was split into two different personalities to prevent such a scenario from happening, her powers were also sealed.

Azazel didn’t know that Lily didn’t really have any ulterior motives, she agreed to the pact simply because she didn’t want to return, not when that filth of a demon Belial was trying to arrange a marriage between them.

He stared at Lily’s sleeping figure once again then his gaze flickered back to the town, or specifically a certain white haired shorty and her ever loyal assistant.

A cold glint flashed in his eyes.

’I guess it’s time to obtain another pawn who doesn’t have a fixed role in the hero’s story.’

He watched her intently, every movement she made, every step she took, then he directed his attention elsewhere.

’Tyrisa D’el Nyx,’ He thought coldly. ’You’ll make a nice piece.’
