The Ex-Wife's Revenge: Rise of the Real Heiress.-Chapter 181: Already becoming famous
Punch!
Punch!
Punch!
Elara stood before the punching bag inside the gym, trying to take out her anger on the punching bag.
It wasn’t enough.
The more she thought about how she had let her mind and heart sympathize with Andrew, the same man who was the reason for her heartache and gave her one of the biggest pains in the world.
Because of what happened at the Lloyds, she couldn’t sleep the entire night, and that was when Elara decided it was good to blow off some steam at a gym.
If she could, she would’ve definitely gone for some kind of badass activity, but her schedule didn’t allow her enough time to go and meet Orion.
These days, she was really thinking about taking him on a ride.
Elara shook her head and punched the punching bag as hard as she could before she kicked it.
She continued her torture on the bag, unaware someone was filming her routine.
"You seem to be taking your anger out on the poor bag rather than training." The trainer, who had been placing the equipment back in the rack after some people left it on the mat, walked to her.
He had been silently observing her from the moment she entered. She went straight to the punching bag and a couple of guys who used to practice on it, even though she had waited for some time.
No one wanted to disturb her or provoke her, as it seemed. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Elara stopped punching the bag before she wiped the sweat on her forehead with the back of her hands.
She turned to look at the trainer, who noticed how flushed she looked.
He walked to the dispenser and brought her a cup of water.
"Here," he said.
"Thanks," Elara gulped the water, liking the way it calmed the burning sensation in her throat.
"So?" the trainer asked.
"Break up with the boyfriend?" the trainer asked.
Elara smiled at his question. It was strange; whenever someone sees another in extreme anger, their first thought is to guess a breakup, especially when it comes to women.
"No. I just had this weird hunch to go and kill someone. So I came here to cool off some steam rather than letting my intrusive thoughts win," Elara smiled.
The trainer chuckled at her words before he went along with his work while scrolling through the news.
As he scrolled through a few entertainment buzz articles, he suddenly paused, then looked at the article before turning to Elara.
"Elara? The lead singer in the Fallen Star?" The trainer asked.
Elara quirked her brows. She hadn’t expected anyone to recognize her, especially when the episodes of the drama were yet to be released.
"You can say that," Elara smiled before she took off the gloves, ready to head out.
"Wait. I know it’s a bit too straightforward, but can you sign an autograph? Can I have a picture with you?" The trainer asked.
Elara looked at him, amused.
"Why would you want my picture? I am not even famous," Elara shook her head.
"Please. If you are uncomfortable with me, I’ll just take your solo with the punching bag. It will really help me gain some customers in the gym. Besides, I know for sure you are going to be very famous," the trainer said.
His blatant words made Elara feel a little better, and she nodded.
"Come here," she said before she put on the gloves again.
She spotted a cleaner and asked him to take their photo as the trainer held the punching bag, and she punched it.
Once done, she looked at the photo and smiled before signing on his wooden table just like he wanted.
"Happy?" She asked, and the man grinned before bobbing his head up and down.
"You are already becoming famous," the trainer commented.
"What do you mean?" Elara asked before looking at the video someone filmed of her punching the bag.
She raised her brows at the comments that were skyrocketing under the post.
"Damn it. That’s one real mommy."
"Please adopt me, Mommy Elara."
"I can’t believe she is performing the role of that poor girl in the drama."
"The director should really be considering a role change."
"Why change? Get her a new drama where she is the strong female lead."
The comments piped one after the other, and Elara smiled.
It was ironic how quickly people were to change their opinion. A few days ago, they were the ones criticizing her.
Maybe this was what they called the risk in show business.
Elara left the gym shortly, her mind going over and over about what Sophia did, followed by Beatrice’s drama.
She pulled the car over to the side to message Justin to find out a little about what she could use against the Lloyds to give them a heavy blow, but she received a message from Daniel’s second number.
"Looking as hot as ever. It’s a pity I want to gouge every eye that looked at you with more than just admiration. Call me obsessive, but I am possessive. You better watch out how you appear online," the message said.
Elara read the message, finding it strangely off.
Daniel had always been proud of her and what she did. Besides, she wasn’t inappropriately dressed. She was wearing leggings and a loose-fitting t-shirt.
The man was probably joking, but... she quickly clicked on the call icon. However, as soon as she did that, she heard an automated voice that said the number was switched off.
"Is this a joke?" Elara typed back, but the message never went through.
She furrowed her brows, the strange feeling in her heart growing.
She called Justin, and rather than asking him to find out about Lloyds, she asked him to find out what was on with Daniel or the Macros’ group in general.
Was he in some kind of trouble? Why wouldn’t he call her? For a man who was glued to her day in and day out, this was unexpected.
She started the car and went to her apartment to take a bath and freshen up before going on the set with Antonio.
As soon as she reached the set, the first thing she noticed was a truck of snacks and goodies parked outside.
It was clear someone was celebrating something. Was it the director celebrating the early release of the episodes?
Elara quickly rushed inside the large gates to see what it was and be a part of the celebration, and saw a crowd forming in the centre.
"Hey, what’s going on?" She stopped a crew member.
"Miss Beatrice is distributing snacks and gifts to celebrate," the crew member said.
Elara furrowed her brows.
Celebrate? Did that mean the news about her pregnancy was true? But she told her she slept with Andrew a couple of days ago.
Could it be that they had been sleeping together for a long time and she only admitted to it now? Elara thought, her gaze darkening at the thought of being fooled for so long by this duo.
"It turns out the rumors about something going on between Miss Beatrice and Mr. Andrew were true. They announced their engagement that would be held next month," the crew member said.
Elara arched her brows.
Of course, with pregnancy, that was given.
Beatrice saw Elara standing at some distance and walked to her with a large smile.
"Miss Elara, I am distributing gifts to share my happiness with everyone. You are invited to my engagement with your family and friends," Beatrice said, and pulled out a gift hamper for Elara.
Elara smiled and stepped forward before hugging Beatrice, much to the latter’s surprise.
"Beatrice, are you ignorant, or are you pretending to be? Didn’t you hear anything last night? Sophia had to play a cunning trick to get the project from my family. They didn’t even care about that high-end project before their daughter’s happiness. Do you think you can afford to invite my family?" Elara asked before she smiled sweetly.
"Congratulations on your engagement with our investor, Miss Beatrice. Also, I hope your baby turns out healthy and fine. Last night, you definitely scared everyone when you fell unconscious like that. Is your wound okay?" Elara asked, blinking her eyes innocently, exposing Beatrice before everyone.
Color drained from Beatrice’s face when she heard those words.
Everyone around her started gossiping.
Does that mean she is pregnant?
Is that the reason behind the marriage?
Wait. Don’t tell me she scammed him with a baby. After all, he is our investor.
People started whispering around, and Beatrice glared at Elara.
Carla, who saw everything unfolding, stepped forward in Beatrice’s defense.
"What are you talking about? She is not pregnant. They are getting engaged because they love each other," Carla said.
Elara raised her brows.
"Is that so? But last night she said she was pregnant. She must’ve been mistaken. Anyways, congratulations," Elara said and unwrapped the chocolate right before Beatrice and took a bite out of it, her expression provocative.
Beatrice looked at Elara, her jaw clenched as she fought to keep her smile.
"Wait. Miss Elara was at Lloyd’s house? What is her background exactly? Why does everyone important know her?" People started gossiping again, all making hard guesses.
Producer Li, who knew the truth, shook his head.
Elara was definitely a force not to be reckoned with.
