Imagination System: I Can Build Anything-Chapter 197: Biqdar and Ghimdar 2
Noor felt like a newly captured animal displayed in a cage for the public to gawk at.
Ghimdar circled him, examining him inch by inch. "He seems tame enough," he remarked. "But he is not Frankish, and that suffices for us. If Father trusts him, then so do we."
Noor pursed his lips in annoyance, prompting the Prince to slap him heartily on the back again, knocking him to the ground while laughing boisterously. "Do not be so vexed! Your appearance is simply peculiar to us, boy."
Blood boiled in Noor’s veins. He scrambled up from the ground, intent on striking the Prince, but the ruler’s sons seized him, calming him down.
"Your hand is heavy, old man!" Noor shouted.
Ghimdar held him firmly, preventing him from lunging at the Prince. "Do you wish to raise your hand against the Prince of Ghlizan? Do you not fear punishment, you reckless fool?"
The Prince laughed. "I see you fear no one, boy. You aspire to take down the Commander of the Third Galactic Army of the Franks, after all."
Everyone was stunned upon hearing this.
Noor, calming down slightly, retorted, "That is because I lost my planet and lost everything. I have nothing left to lose—no family, no home, no money, no reputation, no fame. You must not lose your planet, Prince, or your state will become like mine, and you will never like what I feel."
The Prince furrowed his brow. "I do not know how to console you, boy. But consider yourself among your family. And consider Planet Ghlizan your planet."
Noor nodded. The Prince turned and continued walking, the rest following. Noor trailed behind them, contemplating the wondrous city. A strange sensation swept over him every time the city took a step; it felt as though the earth trembled beneath him for moments.
The Prince passed through the city, greeted and celebrated by the Ghlizan, who offered him gifts, food, and drink. Some tried to host him in their homes, but he would smile at them and tell them he had many concerns to attend to.
The Prince headed to a white, cube-shaped building with a red dome. He entered with his men, and Noor followed, along with the Frankish soldier who said his name was Rouches.
The interior of the building was free of affectation. There were cushions placed on the floor and a table with some fruits. Paper manuscripts were scattered here and there on tables. A wooden chair stood at the end of the hall, flanked by orange, blue, and green flowers. The Prince sat on this humble chair, a stark contrast to the Zurix thrones studded with ornaments, jewels, and precious metals.
Three men stood before him. One was thin with a slightly long nose. The second wore a patch over his left eye. As for the third, he was bald with a powerfully built body.
The Prince opened the session. "Hugo is now advancing to the location Guider directed him to. We can set an ambush for him, surprise him and his soldiers suddenly, and capture him. In doing so, we will have struck the Franks a fatal blow. Capturing the leader of the military campaign on Planet Ghlizan is a great insult to the Franks army. And if we capture him alive, we can bargain with him to obtain more land and curtail the Franks’ influence on the planet."
"And no doubt they will not be able to execute that plan, which reached us from our eyes planted everywhere, stating that they want to burn the Tree of Knowledge and the sacred places around it to force me to appear to them, and then surround me and my army and capture us if they can. Time is pressing upon us, and we must move as soon as possible, for we are racing against time."
The man with the eyepatch, named Siwar, spoke up. "A sound plan, Prince. But I heard that the Supreme Admiral has arrived with a massive army and huge machines the likes of which have never been seen on Planet Ghlizan. No doubt he will move soon and try to target the mobile capital, Guelma. He tried this before but failed because you were present. What if news of our fight with Hugo reaches him and he advances to Guelma to overrun it?"
The Prince lowered his head in thought. "I want you to move the city to the far west until I finish my battle with Hugo."
The bald man, named Cedar, intervened. "We will do that, Prince. We will move the city away to the western continent of Mostaganem, and if the Supreme Admiral tries to come, he will meet a fierce confrontation he cannot handle. I don’t think he dares to penetrate that deep."
The man with the long nose, named Allal, said, "I heard, my lord, that Jasto has been killed! I do not know who possesses the power to do this to Jasto in the far east, but he is undoubtedly not one of us. Also, Saint Jean Dark has been defeated crushingly, withdrew from fighting and preaching the Zurix religion, and decided to return to his planet."
The Prince’s face lit up, and he was filled with joy. "What joyful news! I used to sit night and day in grief over what this monster Jasto was doing to my people. Reaching the eastern continents was not available to us amidst the Franks camps filling the roads leading to it. But the punishment of the Lord descended upon him from where he did not expect."
Noor lowered his head, thinking about what he heard, sensing his comrades had a role in this. But he didn’t know how they dared to confront the Franks’ elites; this might ruin their plan. Yet, after what he saw from Hugo, no doubt they had their compelling reasons, just like him.
Ghimdar, the Prince’s son, said while contemplating a map of Planet Ghlizan, "There is no doubt that luck is on our side. If we capture Hugo, we can inflict another loss upon them on top of losing Jasto and the Saint. Then we find a way to defeat the rest of the leaders like Domarto, Lavosier, and Rouchi."
Biqdar intervened, clenching his fist. "Especially that cunning, malicious Domarto, who always lays plans that would not occur to the mind of the Devil himself."
