Chapter 28: Chapter 28: No Need to Spare Her Embarrassment

Yelena Hughes’s face twitched violently as she took the papers in her hand.

Her eyes didn’t look down; she slowly extended her hand.

"Where should I wipe it?" Clearly, this was not satisfactory to Jasper Yale.

Yelena Hughes’s face was lifeless, and using paper really didn’t do a good job. "You’ll need to wash it anyway when you get back."

"Then I’ll wash it here."

Yelena Hughes felt a tingle on her scalp, "The bathroom in my house doesn’t work well, and the hot water supply isn’t sufficient."

Jasper Yale pulled her hand over, "If you won’t use your hand, I’ll make you use another method."

Yelena Hughes had no choice but to comply with his wishes.

After cleaning up, Yelena Hughes awaited Jasper Yale’s departure, hearing soft rustling sounds in her ears, soon followed by the sound of a belt buckle.

When she looked up, a momentary look of disgust flashed in her eyes, which Jasper Yale didn’t miss. Despite her distaste, she wasn’t willing either.

"Young master, isn’t someone waiting for you downstairs?"

Jasper Yale took a few steps, and Yelena Hughes thought he was leaving, but he unexpectedly turned back after reaching the door.

"Is this your room?"

"Yes, it’s a two-room apartment, and I share it with my sister."

Jasper Yale, born into privilege, naturally couldn’t understand that the now adult Yelena Hughes not only didn’t have a room of her own but even had to share a bed with someone else.

Jasper Yale saw the walls adorned with paper cranes, each folded by Yelena Hughes herself.

"What good is it to wish on these?"

"Yes," Yelena Hughes replied softly, not knowing why Jasper Yale hadn’t left yet; her legs felt a bit uncomfortable, "so I stopped folding them, thanks to you."

The hostility in Jasper Yale was not as strong as before, but he was still not quite peaceful.

"Do you sleep on the inside or outside?"

Yelena Hughes looked at the bed, "Outside."

Immediately after, she was pushed onto the bed with force; before she could react, Jasper Yale kicked her to the inner side of the bed.

He lay down fully dressed, pulling Yelena Hughes over to press her by his side, "Do you feel tormented?"

The bed creaked under the weight of a large man.

Jasper Yale enjoyed the panic on her face, as if caught in an affair, amusing to him.

"When you made her suffer, did you ever think that some things would be repaid to you?"

Yelena Hughes stepped out of the house, willing to forgo dignity and pride, but this was the only place she could hide.

Yet now, Jasper Yale had barged in, doing whatever he pleased.

Yelena Hughes’s hands and legs were pinned down by Jasper Yale, a sense of powerlessness spreading through her.

"Just now, did you think about Miss Alden?"

Feeling sorry for Nancy Alden while coming here to sleep with her, what was Jasper Yale trying to convey? Yelena Hughes’s tone even carried a questioning edge.

"It seems some people are like livestock, can’t be fed too well."

If fed too much, they’d have the strength to resist, to show their claws.

Yelena Hughes wondered if this referred to the medicine she was given, perhaps it was too much at once?

Jasper Yale truly couldn’t stand any defiance.

"Young master, will you marry Miss Alden?"

"What’s it to you?"

Every time Yelena Hughes asked him for medicine, it was a torment, "As long as I don’t appear in front of Miss Alden, she’ll be happy."

If Jasper Yale gave her enough medicine all at once, Yelena Hughes would certainly stay far away from them.

Jasper Yale’s hand rested on Yelena Hughes’s waist, the fabric of her nightgown thin, his palm needed to lift the hem to go further.

"The car accident completely ruined Nancy’s body."

Jasper Yale’s palm was hot against Yelena Hughes’s skin, "Even if we marry, her body couldn’t endure certain things. So, you’ll need to be available on call."

His words fell into Yelena Hughes’s ears.

Just that one sentence left Yelena Hughes dazed, and in her panic, she kicked Jasper Yale.

"What did you say?" she clenched her fists.

"Available on call, don’t you understand?"

Yelena Hughes glared at him angrily, hearing her teeth clatter, "You can find someone else."

"So far, I haven’t found a body to replace yours."

Yelena Hughes couldn’t care less about appeasing the God of Medicine, her fists landed heavily on his chest, delivering blows that actually hurt.

The bed emitted a grinding sound from their struggle.

She refused outright, "Don’t even think about it."

Just then, a sound came from outside, and Yelena Hughes suddenly fell silent, then Anne Hughes called out, "Sis, we’re back."

Yelena Hughes heard the footsteps getting closer, Anne Hughes’s hand about to push open the door.

"Anne, don’t come in!"

She suppressed her nervous voice, "I have a very important video call, can you sleep with mom tonight?"

Anne, always obedient, knowing Yelena Hughes’s job wasn’t easy, readily agreed, "Okay."

Yet, the two were still moving around in the living room, their sounds striking at Yelena Hughes’s heart.

Jasper Yale was angered by Nancy Alden taking medicine, she nearly got into trouble, and Yelena Hughes was the culprit.

There are a hundred ways to torment someone, and whatever Yelena Hughes feared most, that’s what Jasper Yale did.

"Scared?"

Yelena Hughes hurriedly covered Jasper Yale’s mouth, the old house wasn’t soundproof, whispers could maybe be heard.

Jasper Yale forcibly pulled her hand away, "It’s good you’re scared, being scared means you won’t dare to trouble Nancy again."

He pushed Yelena Hughes away, got off the bed, his shirt slightly wrinkled.

She wanted to hold him back, but Jasper Yale quickly walked towards the door.

Yelena Hughes chased after him, watching as he opened the door, not caring if it embarrassed her.

Anne saw him first, hesitating before trying to greet him.

But Jasper Yale ignored them, walked through the living room and left, and Yelena Hughes heard the door slam shut.

Lindsay Walsh came out of the kitchen, looking at the sisters in confusion, "Did someone just leave?"

Anne looked at her sister, Yelena Hughes quickly shook her head, "No, maybe the door wasn’t closed, so there was a draft."

Lindsay Walsh sniffed lightly, "Do you smell a fragrance? It’s nice."

Anne stood beside Yelena Hughes, and Yelena had that scent on her, a cold sandalwood fragrance left by Jasper Yale.

"I bought a new air freshener." Yelena Hughes had to make up a lie.

She tidied her nightgown, not even wearing a coat before coming out, unsure if any traces were left on her body.

"Let’s go, Anne, time for bed."

Before Yelena Hughes could turn around, the doorbell rang again.

This time, she wondered who it was; she opened the door, and it was still Jasper Yale.

Yelena Hughes’s face changed drastically, was he trying to torment her to death? She stiffened her lips, "What is it now?"

"Walk me downstairs."

"What?" Yelena Hughes doubted her ears.

Lindsay Walsh came over, seeing Jasper Yale, got excited, "Yelena, invite the guest in."

Yelena Hughes said there was no need and quickly went outside.

Just a few steps, yet he needed her to escort him, was he...

Finding new ways to torment her?

She felt a little scared.
