It was Friday evening and the Alessandro mansion was bustling.

"I seriously can’t believe this! You just returned home a couple of hours ago and you are already leaving." Mark grumbled in annoyance as he glared at Kaiden before returning his attention back to his sister.

"I’m really sorry. I promise that I won’t stay at my apartment for an entire month after returning from this trip. I’ll stay here and cling to you all the time so that you will get tired of me." Emily promised as she moved to stand next to her grumpy brother before throwing her arms around his bulky figure and giving him a side hug.

Mark didn’t respond but the eyes of her other brothers sure started sparkling with expectation.

"You should remember your words. You have to stay here with us after this trip and you won’t be allowed to move to your apartment for an entire month no matter what’s the situation." Crist stated as he gave her a bright smile.

"Of course, I’ll remember," Emily replied with a little scoff as she glared at her brother. She still had to talk to him about Shadow’s call that he ignored the other afternoon.

"Can I also stay here for a month?" Rylan suddenly asked as he blinked his eyes like a doll while looking at Leo who appeared too embarrassed because of his clingy boyfriend to say anything.

"You sure can but only after your marriage with Leo," Crist replied while giving a big fake smile to Rylan. The man seemed to be enjoying messing around with people these days.

"Babe, look! Your brother is telling us to get married." Rylan seemed too excited by the idea of getting married and then moving to Alessandro’s mansion that he barely paid any attention to the mockery in Crist’s tone.

"Rylan..." Leo whispered shouted at his mate while trying to get himself out of Rylan’s strong arms that had been keeping him caged.

"What? Don’t you want to get married?" Rylan asked while making a sad pouty face as he gazed at Leo with questioning eyes.

"Can you stop, please? You are making me embarrassed." Leo muttered as he patted Rylan’s arm to make the latter lose his hold on him.

"I just want to stay with you," Rylan mumbled softly but still loud enough for everyone to hear.

"What’s up with him?" Emily asked Kaiden as she observed Rylan being nothing like his usual self. Though her friend had always been clingy and soft around Leo, it was nothing like his current state.

"It’s his wolf, the full moon is tomorrow." That’s all Kaiden told her but it was enough for her to understand why Rylan was acting like he was acting.

"You sure have great control over your wolf." She couldn’t help but say as she realized that, unlike his brother, Kaiden was being his normal self around her.

She was not sure if she was upset about it or actually grateful considering she didn’t have to go through the embarrassment that Leo was struggling with at the moment.

She didn’t need to look at him to know that a smirk was playing on his lips as he inched his face closer to her ear and whispered, "Trust me, Angel, my wolf is going just as insane as Rylan’s. It’s just... I’m scared of your brothers."

Emily arched her eyebrows as she turned her face to look at Kaiden as he pulled his face away to stand straight. The man nodded his head in her brothers’ direction and as she followed his line of sight, she found her brothers staring at the two of them, especially at Kaiden.

She could see where Kaiden was coming from. At the moment, she and Leo were the only ones among the seven siblings who were dating. And while her brothers were also protective towards Leo, it was nothing like their overprotectiveness towards her.

"Come and stand here with me." Mark suddenly spoke as he pulled her by her arm to stand next to him, making sure that there was an ample amount of distance between her and Kaiden. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"Mark, I’m going to spend the entire weekend with him." Emily tried to make her brother realize that what he was doing at the moment was totally useless.

"That’s why I’m saying that this trip isn’t good for you. Instead of going out with him, you should consider spending time with us." Mark immediately responded as if he was just waiting for a chance. "Look! It’s full moon night tomorrow and I don’t trust this man around you. And even if I can trust him, the same can’t be said about his wolf. So, you should really consider about canceling this trip."

"I’m not canceling it," Emily responded in a serious tone as she stared at her brother with a challenging look. They finally had a chance to take Shadow out on a trip, and her brother was trying to ruin it. Even if she could understand that her brother was just trying to protect her, she wasn’t going to cancel the trip.

"Then it’s good that Shadow is going with you guys too. Dude, you have to look after her for us. Make sure that she’s safe from his claws too." Mark moved his attention at Shadow who had been silently watching the chaos going on around him while he sat beside Domenic on the couch.

Emily almost did an eye-roll but stopped when she recalled that Nick wasn’t fond of such attitudes. Instead of continuing her bickering with Mark, she moved to take a seat beside her eldest brother who immediately welcomed her with his open arm.

"Stop it, Mark. That’s enough." Domenic finally decided to interfere as he noticed the frown on his sister face as she rested her face against his shoulder and relaxed.

"Are you not worried, Dom?" Simon asked when he noticed the calm expression on his eldest brother’s face.

Emily too turned her face upwards to look at Nick as if she too was curious to know what he had to say.
