Chapter 422: Chapter 422: Maybe I Just Look Fierce

"W-What?" Finn Ford was utterly shocked.

But since his face was too swollen to show any expression, he simply asked directly, "Why?? Just yesterday you were saying you wanted to please your future sister-in-law to persuade your brother to let you join the military. What’s with the sudden change?"

Ronan Kingston looked conflicted.

After what happened last night, he truly felt he had no talent in combat, not being able to beat even Summer Monroe. Why join the military and make a fool of himself?

He should just follow his family’s wishes, study and go into business.

Ronan Kingston sighed and said, "Don’t ask me what’s going on. Anyway, I’ve decided to stay in this class, study hard, and follow my family’s plans to go into business."

"Alright, alright, I can understand your decision. The military is tough, and I wouldn’t see you for years. But... do you know how to stay in this class? You need to be in the top 20 of the class! This class is full of bookworms. Can you keep up with them?"

Ronan Kingston was determined.

"Whether I can or not, I’ll try first."

Finn Ford was left speechless, so he decided to join Ronan Kingston in standing as punishment.

With him as the bottom of the class, Ronan Kingston would have one less competitor in academics.

Indeed, he couldn’t get kicked out by Mio Osborne before the monthly test; he had to stay to support Ronan Kingston!

Just when their legs went numb from standing, the class bell finally rang.

Mio Osborne was the first to leave the classroom.

As he stepped out, he saw the two honestly standing as punishment, instantly freezing in disbelief.

"Teacher." Ronan Kingston stepped forward and asked, "We’ve stood outside for one class. Can we go in for the next one?"

Mio Osborne’s expression grew even more shocked.

He even subconsciously checked which direction the sun was rising from, and after confirming it wasn’t from the west, he turned to look at Ronan Kingston and Finn Ford.

These two were clearly not joking but genuinely wanted to attend the class.

Mio Osborne opened his mouth, but in the end, only said, "Suit yourselves! But don’t just let this be a fleeting interest."

"We won’t." Ronan Kingston said firmly, making Mio Osborne wonder if he had lost his mind.

Mio Osborne said no more, gave Ronan Kingston a long look, then left with his teaching materials.

Ronan Kingston didn’t care about Mio Osborne’s attitude, pushing the door open and almost bumped into Rachel Ross on her way out.

Rachel Ross met Ronan Kingston’s gaze, feeling a bit guilty, and instinctively looked away as she hurried out.

Ronan Kingston didn’t notice Rachel Ross, but Finn Ford did find it odd and quietly asked Ronan Kingston, "Don’t you think that girl seemed a bit scared of you? Her face turned pale just by meeting your eyes."

Ronan Kingston didn’t mind and just said, "Maybe I look fierce."

Fierce?

Finn Ford looked into a glass to check his reflection. Clearly, he looked fiercer, right?

The sound of them pulling their chairs was probably too loud, waking Summer Monroe from her drowsiness. She sat up and looked at Ronan Kingston, asking, "You guys awake?"

Ronan Kingston nodded and quietly asked as he approached her, "Did you find out anything?"

Summer Monroe stretched, said "Hang on," and pulled out a phone from under the drawer.

The message from her informants had arrived almost ten minutes ago.

She opened it and a cold smile appeared on her lips as she turned to say, "Got it."

"Who is it?" Ronan Kingston eagerly asked.
