Tang Yin stared at the List and saw her name appear. It was highlighted as a first-timer. Nervous, she fidgeted from one leg to another as she entered the Arena. The others behind her gave her a thumbs-up while Tang San held out his hand for a high five.

She slapped it and earned a bright grin from him. "Go wreak them, Sis, " he said, and she felt a bit lighter.

"I will," she told him, walking into the Arena. The lights hit her and almost blinded her as the show started. An announcer floated above them, a pair of snow-white wings on their backs. "Welcome to the single matches, " a voice announced, and Tang Yin noted how her heart was beating in her throat as she stopped and stilled in her position, spotting her opponent.

It was a burly man, at least twice as tall and in his mid-thirties.

"This Match will be between one of our well-known old-timers, Old Monkey Lu, and a first-timer, Tang Yin, " the announcer said. Amongst the noise around them, the two opponents mustered each other.

"A child," Old Monkey Lu mocked. You should be home at this time of day." Then he released his spirit rings—two yellow, one purple. Tang Yin took a deep breath, her mind emptying as she summoned her own spirit rings—one yellow, two purple.

A rumor went through the arena as she released her spirit. Blue, silver grass spread around her. She tilted her head and smiled. "Please."

Then old money Lu stormed at her. All nervosity gone, she wrapped a threat around her waist and catapulted herself through the arena. Using ghostly trace, she avoided him and narrowed their distance, summoning her silver breakers. Her hands covered in silver metal, she went straight for him.

He blocked her strike by redirecting the force and suddenly she was looking right into his eyes, the mockery from earlier gone they shone brightly. For a second time, she was moving slower, and a smile spread on her face as she tilted her head to look straight at him. This was going to be fun; he appeared to notice as well. A smile spread on his face as well. Silently, her lips formed the words. "Bring it."

Then they jumped apart and were left staring at each other.

Yin felt her muscles twitch and her mind running a million miles an hour. She had smaller reach and she was weaker how to beat him. How did he move, how did he act, her feet shifted and she send her weight to the balls of her feet. A strange calm descended over her and she started dashing forward.

When monkey Lu punched, she ducked and released her weave, wrapping it around him before attacking in a flurry of strikes. He ripped through her weave and attacked her, his monkey tail swiping in her direction. She took a deep breath.

[Lock]

The man let out a surprised gasp as she thundered her fist into his side, coming from below and hitting right beneath the rips. Beneath her breakers, something crunched, and she used weave alongside ghostly trace to catapult herself out of the way.

[Purple Demon Eye]

her eyes flashed purple as she started avoiding his attacks. He had noted her having sealed his spirit powers partially and thus tried to physically overpower her. She felt the drain on Lock and gritted her teeth before avoiding another narrow attack as it whistled past her face. His eyes narrowed on her as she grabbed his arm and then thundered her knee right into his rips once again.

Now, the sound was louder, and he let out a gasp before catching her and throwing her away. Mid-air, she needed a split second to regain her balance. Knowing she was an easy victim like this, she could weave around her waist and then draw her sword as she twirled herself out of an attack.

Breathing flatly, she moved around and then spotted the purple energy from her opponent. She gritted her teeth and then used her spirit ability again.

[Lock]

Just for a split second to disturb his rhythm before using once a ghostly trace to narrow in and block his ability to move with her weave. Staying low, she dashed forward and gathered her spirit energy inside her breaker. She twirled around him and released her fist before striking the back of her opponent's neck and ending their fight.

He went down, and she was left panting. Both her hands were on her knees as she released her breakers, and her victory was announced. Sweat dropped from her temple, running down her nose as she wordlessly raised her fist into the sky.

Shouts and screams erupted around her. She remained in that position for a second before she tumbled out of the arena, exhausted, right into her brother's arms. "Won, " she announced proudly. You better try to keep up."

"As if I'd lose to my sister." He said his name was next on the list. "I am going to do this way faster than you."

"That I want to see, " she said and then got out of his hug. "Go get 'em."

"Always." He said, then marched past her into the Arena.
