Hu Liena felt herself soar as her feet left the ground amid the others' quick, coordinated movements. Were they crazy? insane? to move like this on such a narrow road. Then she saw that the bats had lost a tenth of their number as they barreled on.

The bats were disturbed and no longer dared to come much closer. Their minds were focused and waiting for them to tire themselves out.

Then a large blood bat called out. The others are making way for it.

"T-Trouble." Ning Feng hissed.

Tang San agreed, drawing a cold breath. In front of them, a bit below the bride, above them hung a giant bat, wings folded and exuding a dark golden chopper light.

It was incredibly long and had enormous claws. Talons deeply sunken into the stone. The bats shrieked as the giant bat headed downwards.

"Trouble on an expressway." Tang San muttered, and Hu Lienas daggers emerged again as the three of them all took a second. The central head of the three-headed choppery dark golden bat issued an in-describable sound, making them flinch, unfurling her gigantic wings, and then threw itself at them.

"This one is strong." Hu Liena grunted very unladylike and grabbed the rope with one hand.

The blue light covering them, supporting them, Fengs and Tang Sans eyes both started glowing slightly deeper in purple.

Affected by the blue light, the bat immediately became more violent, but it did not go out of control like its younger brethren. Then Tang San nodded at the two women and swung them, lunging forward after them. As Ning Feng's sword slashed at the bat, she twisted, followed by Hu Lien's dagger, until ultimately Tang San's enormous Hammer thundered against the bat.

A dark ripple headed out from the three-headed blood red bat as it was injured, hauling a talon towards them. Hu Liena twisted to move Ning Feng out of the way with her leverage as the bat tumbled slightly to the abyss, followed by many of the flock of bats.

Tang San swung his hammer again and then struck the middle head of the bat again.

The hammer was powerful, the bat hissed as its middle head was mercilessly crushed, and Ning Feng turned and, with Hu Liena helping her, moved more fluently, cutting off a second head. Hu Liena tried going for the third as Tang San twited the rope with his leg and moved her closer, but the bat avoided the strike and retreated in its injured state.

Hu Liena landed first, her feet firmly planted on the ground, her body swaying as the others followed and then stared at the shattered, crushed road.

"What now?" She asked

"Charge." Tang San said and then ran forward. Hu Liena did not dare delay. She ran as well. The bat had retreated to its brothers and swallowed a few of them in cannibalism, slowly growing back its two missing heads. It was not over.

Tang San leapt, Hu Liena followed, and Ning Feng did not dare dwandle. Tang San threw Hu Liena forward and catapulted her further. Understanding his Intention, she did the same with Feng, who landed and then used her speed to press forward, dragging the others with her.

The road around them exploded, and Ning Feng faltered, losing footing. Tang San, at the risk of him pummeling, shouted at Hu Liena, who held steady and then changed position as Ning Feng used the swing to end up on the bridge again and continue moving. Again, their position was changed.

Hu Liena was the one still standing. With Tang San fully focused on keeping the Bat away and Ning Feng still regaining her balance in an awkward position, twisting her body at an angle that should be impossible to avoid debris. Hu Liena instead was hit by something, and lost balance with them cursing, if she fell, they would all fall. But she didn't; her body turned, and an enormous fiery foxtail emerged from her butt, extending to full three metres, the edge of it sharp as she stabbed out towards the bat and hammering her knife into the stone, thus helping Feng to gain the seconds she needed to head forward and then run in front and stabilize them all.

The Bat avoided Hu Lienas attack and then ended up being hit by a flying through the sky Tang San with his Hammer, and while it shifted suddenly, the tail stuck out again. Hu Liena and Tang San worked in sync while Ning Feng kept them moving and anchored them to the road, speeding up more and more.

Then the large bat scattered, and smaller golden ones appeared. Hu Liena swiped her tail, then swung the still-tied-to-her Tang San through them like a wrecking ball. Ning Feng gritted as she rammed her sword into the road at the jerking movement, to stay stable before running

again, and continuing to drag the others with her.

A Spirit bone Tang San realized that he hadn't known there was one that could change a tail into such an offensive weapon. That meter-long Foxtail on her in combat was a fearsome weapon.

None of the bats dared to get too close to their range. Unable to avoid Tang Sans and Hu Lienas' combined attacks as they progressed further and further on the road. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

The killing intent around them grew fiercer and fiercer. The attacks taking down more and more bats.

"We cannot let it use its trick; we need to take it down. We can't keep going on like this, and Feng is getting exhausted keeping us moving like this.” Tang San shouted.

"I can see that." Hu Liena agreed as she saw that Ning Feng was again ramming her sword into the road to keep the balance as she swung onto the bridge and landed. The woman was drenched in sweat, and that was not just from the increasing oppressive heat.

"S-safe harbor." Ning Feng then said, panting, and pointed forward to another platform.
