Tang San's Twin Sister-Chapter 212
"I have no idea what is down there." Hu Liena admitted, looking down from the entrance of a very slender little road leading forward into the darkness from the platform they stood on.
Tang San nodded. The depts down here did not worry him so much. He had Blue Silver Grass and Flying God claws, not counting the eight Spider landes to be suspended Midair. Additionally, Ning Feng's remote Teleport also ensured their security if they did not mess up, so he was sure he would not fall... but all that only worked if that road did not crumble beneath their feet.
"I'll take a look." Tang San said, then crawled forward on the ground, looking down. He had to protect Hu Liena and Ning Feng; there was no choice.
It was pitch black downwards. He used purple demon eye to see further and further, his eyes shining in a faint blue purple colour as he did. He winced as he saw what was below.
"And?" Hu Liena asked.
"Blood. Looks almost like a blood reservoir. If I am not wrong, it should be the stored blood of all the people killed in the years of Slaugher City."
Hu Liena tilted her head as Ning Feng said. "I-It's the heart."
Hu Liena looked at her. "You mean the heart of Slaughter City?" Ning
Feng nodded. "T-that might b-be."
Then they looked at each other as it dawned on them. "Or it might be the source of Slaughter City's dominant energy." Hu Liena and Tang San said simultaneously, with Ning Feng's gaze wandering in between.
Tang San was suddenly happy that their partner was so astute. Hu Liena was a good partner to have for this endeavour.
There had to be some reason the King of Slaughter City always used blood, and they were pretty sure this was it.
"I agree. Even if we do not know the true secret behind this much blood, or if we cannot be sure the source will be eliminated, which would certainly be a huge blow to Slaughter City. Maybe even devastating. I believe that a place like this should not exist."
"I agree."
"Spirit Hall should have done something at this point." He growled, "It would have been their duty."
"And Clear Sky. I know you people do not have a high opinion of Spirit Hall, and you could have done something as well. Nevertheless, this is not the place nor the time to start shoving blame around or to discuss who is responsible for what." Hu Liena growled. "We can always discuss this later. I'd rather settle the problems in front of us."
"U-Upwards." Ning Feng said, kneeling on the edge. "W-We should go u-upwards."
"You mean the likelihood of more poison or vicious beasts is higher?" San asked, and Feng nodded. "Yes. This... I-it is H-hell Road. S-Still we s-should go up."
"The medicine you gave me was effective. Do you have two more of that? If we go down, at least we have ground beneath our feet. Taking this road honestly gives me a sense of danger."
"No." Tang San shook his head. "And even if. This world has different rules I believe adittionally no medicine in existence can cure it all. I know the road is dangerous, but I feel that the road below might be even more so. I agree with Feng; she also has impeccable instincts in such matters."
Hu Liena did not hesitate to answer. "Alright. I will listen. Since we have no way to detoxify, up is our only choice. Before I came here, I asked what would await us. My Deathgod said she could not tell. There are thousands of situations, and our experiences will be different. We need to take things slow, be cautious."
Tang San agreed; that was also why Tang Hao said nothing about the concrete hell road.
They settled down in the middle, and the three of them started to cultivate, to recover as much as they could, to return to their peak condition. To go through this half-heartedly was not a good idea. Their spirit power was still suppressed, though, by an invisible force.
They opened their eyes and looked at each other. Then Hu Liena got up and started shedding her coat and adding some of her outer garments.
"Come on, we don't have an eternity." She said, and Ning Feng agreed, they did not. Then she also shed the coat and took out a knife from her waist, laying the coats down on the ground, it was quickly joined by a third. Tang Sans. It wasn't enough; Ning Feng had her shirt torn, leaving her standing there in pants and a skin-tight undershirt that left nothing to the imagination.
Also, Hu Liena stood there in little more than her underwear with Tang San being topless and reducing parts of his pants to shreds, followed by Ning Feng doing the same.
It would have been a comical sight if not for the fact that all three looked rather spectacular in appearance.
Hu Liena, tall, with soft curves and an elegant appearance, with smooth, pale, spotless skin, exuding both charm and elegance, basically standing there in her underwear. Tang San was rugged in appearance, muscled and tall with faint fading scars and the body of a warrior and Ning Feng, the tallest of them, giving off an androgynous feeling, combined with a fierce fisrt impression only softened by the substantial, even more then Hu Lienas, chest that was in display and bound tightly to her body.
They silently started to shred their clothes into strips to form a long rope. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Hu Liena still felt nervous at being there, blushing, but was somehow impressed by how unimpressed Ning Feng was despite a nearly naked Tang San next to her; she didn't even look as she worked.
Ning Feng looked up, and Hu Liena blushed even harder as she looked away, focusing on her hands. "N-Nothing I have n-not seen b-before." Ning Feng suddenly said, and the rather pure Hu Liena looked at her, startled. "I-I was rooming with his s-sis. S-She draws." Feng continued as if that explained everything.
"Please, what?" Tang San was confused. He could not remember walking around mostly naked in front of anyone, not even his sister. What did his sister have to do with Ning Feng saying that he, half-naked, was not news? Or nothing she had not seen before.
"A-Anatomy studies." Ning Feng pointed out.
Now it dawned upon Tang San while Hu Liena seemed more confused than before, even forgetting her embarrassment. He looked at her, then felt a twinge at seeing her sitting there in the very same state, very much embarrassed. Maybe it would help her to know, or to have something apart from the danger they were in right now.
"Feng was roommates with my sister for quite a while. My sister draws, and, like all good artists, she has had to study the human body to draw people accurately. I guess, since we are close, she used me as study material, which explains why Ning Feng saw me at least in some form, at least half naked, because those studies are usually done of the nude body. To get the muscles and such better down."
"Ah." Hu Liena still seemed confused. "I see. But you..." She pointed at the obvious while her hands continued making the rope. "are...a boy."
"Yeah, art studies make no difference there. I remember how sis went to an anatomy course once, where they were drawing people who posed naked. Nude Models for art students. Gender matters little when it's about that, she explained to me once, that it's like flipping a switch in the head. Like, suddenly you don't see that person in front of you as a man or woman, but as someone to capture on paper. I never understood it, though." He admitted. "It's a world upon its own; artists in general often tend to have interesting views on things."
"Y-your sister would h-have punched the s-slaughter king i-in the face." Feng giggled despite their tense situation. "You just have to imagine that, and it suddenly doesn't seem that scary at all."
"What?" Hu Lienas' eyes were ripped wide open as she now forgot her embarrassment.
"Yes. She doesn't like murderers." Tang San agreed.
"She must be a very kind person then." Hu Liena said her voice was almost whispering, her gaze on Tang San, as her own heart pounded at seeing him like this, nearly smiling at the thought of his sister punching the Slaughter King, even though they were in mortal danger, glowing with such fondness and love, unlike his usual expressionless state.
"I'd love to meet her one day." She wanted him to smile like this at her for a moment. Then the reality came crushing back. He was a member of Clear Sky, so his sister would be. So they would always be enemies once this was over.
A bit later, they had a rope braided long enough for the three of them. "Since you are the weakest Gu Feng, you should go in the middle." Hu Liena said, and Feng shook her head.
"No. I-I am physicallys- stronger than y-you. You m-middle." She pointed out, and it was true: considering none of them could properly use spirit power, Hu Liena was indeed weaker compared to Ning Feng, who had a body trained rigorously throughout her entire life.
So it was quickly decided. Tang San went in front, Hu Liena, the physically weak, in between and Ning Feng last.
The rope tied around her waist, Hu Liena adjusted her bust and made Tang San turn around, quickly trying to flip that infamous switch his sister occasionally spoke about. Hu Liena would be his enemy when he made it out of here again. Ning Feng would have to deal with Yu Hua, Gale and Damian, whom he had to explain himself to, and his heart was Xiao Wu's. It was just...he might have given his heart away long ago, but he was still every much male, and it was hard to overlook two mostly naked, attractive women close to him.
"Let's go." He said and heard Hu Liena snickering behind him as Feng didn't even try to hide it and laughed, the laughter such a startling contrast to the grimness of their situation that the moment of lightness did them all good. Then Tang San stepped on the narrow road.
"Don't look down." He warned them and then started moving.
They were not walking at a quick or slow pace, but trying to maintain a regular rhythm. All three, martially talented and having faced countless difficulties, had no trouble staying balanced and keeping up with the steady pace. They remained at a perfect distance from each other as they adapted. Their tacit understanding was silent and Tang San admired it; Hu Lieana seamlessly adapted to his and Ning Feng's well-oiled Tag Team it was impressive. He had never before met anyone adapting so fast to them and he felt a twinge inside him knowing from all the people it was Hu Liena who was so deeply loyal to spirit hall.
Eventually, the platform behind them vanished.
