Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 201: Agreed
Just then, a beam of light suddenly shone into the car, and Moira Young instinctively wanted to reach out to shield her eyes, but Julian Sinclair held her arm down.
Julian Sinclair frowned, released her, and then adjusted the seat back to normal.
"Who is it? Outsiders are not allowed in, it’s the middle of the night, hurry up and leave." It turned out to be the old gatekeeper who walked over and knocked on Julian Sinclair’s car window.
"I just dozed off for a moment, and you guys broke in, quickly leave!"
Julian Sinclair didn’t roll down the window, he glanced impatiently at the old man and then started the car.
Moira Young saw that Julian Sinclair was angry, so naturally, she didn’t dare to make a sound. She awkwardly looked at the old man outside the car, then lowered the car window a bit.
"Sir, I’m with the program team, I’m not an outsider," Moira Young explained.
The old man, seeing Moira Young, shone the flashlight again, the dazzling beam in Moira Young’s eyes took a while to recover.
"Oh, I’ve seen you before. Didn’t you guys go to the mountains? How come you’re back alone?" The old man looked around and saw no one else.
"I came back early, they still need a while," Moira Young chatted and thought about getting out of the car.
But her hand was firmly held by Julian Sinclair, no matter how Moira Young tried, she couldn’t pull away.
"All right, you come out then, I’ll turn on the lights for you," the old man laughed, suddenly becoming very enthusiastic.
Moira Young turned her head like an agitated kitten, quietly hissing, "Julian Sinclair, what are you doing!"
Julian Sinclair didn’t answer but stepped on the gas, and the car suddenly accelerated, driving out of the gate.
Moira Young saw the old man dumbfounded in the rearview mirror and felt that Julian Sinclair was very impolite.
"The old man kindly wanted to turn on the lights for me, even if you want to take me home, you should at least let me tell him there’s no need, right?" Moira Young looked at Julian Sinclair angrily.
Julian Sinclair’s lips curled into a smile, "If you tell him not to, you would just come home with me?"
"Yeah—" Moira Young blurted out, and she realized she had misspoken as soon as she said it!
The gloom on Julian Sinclair’s face completely disappeared, without a word, he turned around and went back.
"But... you’ve already left, going back again just to say not to turn on the lights, isn’t that a bit awkward..." Moira Young sat awkwardly in the passenger seat, nervously gripping the seatbelt with both hands.
Soon, Julian Sinclair’s car was back in front of the old gatekeeper.
"What’s going on? I thought you left, why are you back?" The old man was truly puzzled.
Julian Sinclair deliberately lowered Moira Young’s window.
Moira Young bit her lower lip, like a child who had done something wrong, looking at the old man, looking pitiful: "Sir, the program team people haven’t returned yet. I’ll come back when they’re here, thank you."
"All right, young lady, be safe!" The old man still wanted to peek at Julian Sinclair in the car, but Moira Young deliberately blocked him.
Out of instinct, Moira Young didn’t want Julian Sinclair to be seen by others.
Just like when he was still her Uncle, she didn’t want others to mention his name.
Because for Moira Young at that time, Julian Sinclair was hers, she didn’t want anyone to know.
Julian Sinclair rolled up the window and then took Moira Young home.
The whole way, Moira Young kept comforting herself, continuously telling herself that spending a night anywhere is just the same—be it the program team or Julian Sinclair’s home, it doesn’t matter.
But when she really walked into Julian Sinclair’s home again, she suddenly felt a bit regretful.
Because—
Adrian Grant was half-lying on the sofa playing with his phone, not wearing a shirt!
Moira Young caught just a half-second glimpse before Julian Sinclair’s body completely blocked her view.
Julian Sinclair’s face turned dark instantly, "Why are you lying here?"
Adrian Grant looked innocently at him, pretending to be very innocent, "We’ve seen everything between us, haven’t we? I’m just shirtless... your home is my home!"
Moira Young almost gagged at his words, "Adrian Grant, when did you become so disgusting!"
"Kiddo, let me tell you, if it weren’t for your appearance, Julian and I would have long been secretly in a relationship!" Adrian Grant feigned leaning toward Moira Young, only to be blocked by Julian Sinclair.
"Mind your words." Julian Sinclair’s voice was low, glaring at him fiercely, "Go back to your room."
Adrian Grant watched like he was at a show, "Tonight’s gonna be a sleepless night! Envy! Envy!"
"Don’t talk nonsense!" Moira Young now understood the meaning of these words, she was no longer that naive kid who knew nothing.
Adrian Grant’s smile blossomed like a flower, he didn’t forget to tease a few more words before going upstairs: "Actually, it’s not all my fault, mostly because Mrs. Miller turned up the heater too much, I was just too hot, so I look like this. By the way, when you two get down to business tonight, better turn down the heating."
"Otherwise, I’m afraid you can’t handle it!"
Moira Young stamped her feet almost out of anger, she could never out-talk Adrian Grant, really didn’t know what Adrian Grant grew up eating that made his mouth so sharp!
After Adrian Grant went upstairs, Moira Young also wanted to quickly go back to her room and lock the door.
Seeing that Julian Sinclair didn’t mean to do anything to her, she just ran upstairs.
Julian Sinclair didn’t stop her, he was somewhat tired, placing the car keys down, taking off his coat, and then sitting on the sofa resting against the back.
Before he regains his memory, he absolutely would not touch her.
The next day.
Moira Young set her alarm clock to the time she usually got up for the program team, after washing up, she just went downstairs to have breakfast.
Truthfully, Moira Young understood herself well, no matter where she slept, it was never as good as sleeping here, but she didn’t want to force herself to admit it.
"Miss, why are you up so early today, breakfast hasn’t started yet." Mrs. Miller had just gotten up not long ago, preparing things.
Moira Young yawned, "So sleepy."
"Miss, are you going out?"
"Yeah, I need to go back to the program team." Moira Young sat at the dining table, wanting nothing more than to lay down and sleep a little longer.
Mrs. Miller curiously asked, "Miss, what program team?"
Moira Young told Mrs. Miller the name of the show she was on, Mrs. Miller usually didn’t watch much TV, she just liked to cook for Julian Sinclair and Moira Young, and tidy up the house till it was spotless.
"Miss, I’ll take a look later; so, Miss became a star!" Mrs. Miller was full of curiosity, "Miss—"
"Mrs. Miller, I’m so hungry..." Moira Young pouted, blinking with fairy-like eyes.
"Okay, okay, I’ll make breakfast for Miss right away, very soon!" Mrs. Miller returned to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, simply toasting two slices of bread, warming a cup of milk, and frying an egg.
Moira Young felt like it had been ages since she’d tasted Mrs. Miller’s breakfast, and when she put it in her mouth, she couldn’t help but sigh, "The same bread and toaster, why does the toast taste different..."
