Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 152: Reporter
It’s a good thing the soy milk was only mildly cool; if Moira Young had chosen to buy it heated, her face might be painfully scalded by now.
"Moira—" Heath Sterling’s voice came from behind.
Moira Young had just taken out a tissue, and when she turned her head, she saw Heath Sterling running over with a worried expression, then grabbing the tissue from Moira Young’s hand and wiping it for her without hesitation.
"Who did this? I’ll find them and give them a good beating!" Heath Sterling gritted his teeth.
"I’ll do it myself." Moira Young thought it was inappropriate to do this in public, her cheeks turned slightly red, and she raised her hand to push Heath Sterling’s hand away.
Just then, they heard a few clicks, and both Heath Sterling and Moira Young turned their heads, discovering a group of reporters standing at the cafeteria entrance, crowded together taking pictures of Moira Young and Heath Sterling.
Moira Young instinctively frowned and dodged, while Heath Sterling hurriedly led Moira Young out through the back door of the restaurant.
"I never expected they’d actually get into the school." Heath Sterling quickly pulled Moira Young into his car, stepped on the gas pedal, and sped away before the reporters could catch up.
"Moira, Lee called me earlier and asked us to go to the company, saying it’s about the contract signing."
Moira Young continued to wipe her hair and collar with a tissue, but no matter how she rubbed, the leftover soy milk remained sticky.
"He said the contract term can be shortened to one year, and I agreed." Heath Sterling said while driving.
Moira Young didn’t have much feeling about this matter, "Okay."
She had already been on stage yesterday, overcoming her inner fear, and if she really signed the contract, then she could consider herself truly independent.
Heath Sterling, hearing Moira Young’s agreement, smiled widely and was in a particularly good mood, almost skipping when they arrived at the LE company. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Not only was Lee there this time, but also two other leaders who had already seen Moira Young’s great potential last night and were absolutely not going to let go.
"Quick, have a seat." Lee motioned for Heath Sterling and Moira Young to sit down, while an assistant poured them water.
Lee handed the contract to each of them to read, "The contract term has been changed a bit, take another look and if there’s no problem, you can sign."
Heath Sterling didn’t want to look at the densely packed contract; he knew Moira Young would carefully review it, so he didn’t bother opening it at all.
After Moira Young finished reading, she nodded lightly, "No problem."
"But—" Moira Young paused, puzzled, "wasn’t it said earlier that after doing a stint as trainees, then participating in shows, whether we debut or not would depend on ourselves? Has the contract been changed to debut directly?"
Heath Sterling was taken aback for a moment, then immediately opened the contract, "Where, where?"
Moira Young pointed it out to Heath Sterling, "Here."
"That’s because you helped our company a lot yesterday, and your performance last night was outstanding, so the two leaders unanimously decided to debut you directly. As for Heath Sterling—" Lee glanced at the leaders, "due to his considerable fame in racing and his looks surpassing many young idols, we’ve decided to debut both of you together, like what people often call CP on the internet."
Upon hearing the word CP, Moira Young’s mind suddenly flashed Julian Sinclair’s face; she hadn’t expected to think of him at a moment like this, her brows slightly furrowed.
Heath Sterling hadn’t said anything, he was very willing to debut as CP, but was worried Moira Young wouldn’t agree.
"Moira?" Heath Sterling gently called her, noticing she seemed unsettled.
"Hey—who’s this? A newcomer?" A somewhat authoritative female voice came from behind.
Moira Young turned around and saw a tall, well-shaped woman with a disdainful expression and a fragrant scent as she walked.
She seemed familiar, perhaps from TV.
"Vivi is here, come, let me introduce you." Lee’s eyes began to sparkle at the sight of Vivi, but quickly suppressed his emotions due to the presence of the two leaders.
The woman named Vivi looked around twenty years old, with great skin and exceptional features; she sat unceremoniously beside Lee, crossing her legs and folding her arms across her chest with an inspecting demeanor.
Lee smiled as he introduced her to Moira Young and Heath Sterling, "You’re familiar with Vivi, right? She’s the new supermodel, recently appearing a lot on variety shows."
Heath Sterling looked at Vivi and shook his head, "Never seen her."
Moira Young only found her slightly familiar; Vivi, upon hearing Heath Sterling claim not to know her, instantly sneered, "Saying you don’t know me just to grab my attention is a bit far-fetched, isn’t it?"
Heath Sterling’s face turned dark, his left cheek twitched, "Where does your confidence come from?"
Lee didn’t expect the meeting to turn tense so quickly, especially with the two leaders present; it couldn’t go on like this!
"Alright, Vivi just sit for a while; I’m currently signing contracts with them." Lee gave Vivi a subtle glance, signaling her not to say too much.
But Vivi wouldn’t comply; she glared at Lee, "The company recruits are increasingly rude, the relationship between seniors and juniors needs to be clarified."
"You two should call me senior and be more polite to me."
Heath Sterling always considers himself above others, accustomed to arrogance, suddenly facing someone even more arrogant, he got upset and retorted, "Who the hell are you?"
With a turn of attitude, he looked at Lee, "I haven’t even signed the contract yet and already have to deal with attitudes, what if I sign the contract, will I be inferior?"
Heath Sterling initially wanted to be a star just for fun, and if something displeased him, he naturally refused.
Lee suddenly felt the situation spinning out of control, his tone turned unpleasant, "Vivi, don’t you have something to do? Go quickly!"
"When I joined the company, that’s how I learned, so, are newcomers now allowed to disregard rules and disrespect seniors?" Vivi hadn’t expected Lee to lose temper at her.
"Don’t cause trouble; the company’s top management unanimously decided to keep these members, you don’t want to provoke them!" Lee quietly reminded Vivi, provoking Heath Sterling is minor, provoking the leaders is major.
Finally, after Lee’s various persuasions, Vivi reluctantly agreed to leave, but not before giving Heath Sterling and Moira Young a nasty look.
Moira Young wasn’t concerned about such a person; she didn’t mind, though Heath Sterling cared.
"This contract can’t be signed," Heath Sterling disdainfully tossed the pen onto the table, leaned back, and lounged in the chair.
Lee broke out in a cold sweat, "She was bullied by seniors when she first joined, so she’s unbalanced like this, no malicious intent, I’ll educate her well."
Heath Sterling realized Moira Young must still be bothered about debuting as CP; he understood very well, Moira Young usually doesn’t prefer hanging out alone with him, fearing misunderstandings, and now if asked to debut, how could she agree to CP?
