Chapter 151: Chapter 151: The Show

Julian Sinclair pondered for a moment, having no appetite to eat, he called Gary in.

"Julian, do you have any instructions?" Gary stood respectfully to the side.

Julian considered for a moment, his voice indifferent. His main purpose of returning home was to find out who the girl that made his heart ache was.

"I want all the information about that show." Julian’s words actually aimed to gauge Gary’s reaction.

Gary paused for a moment, quickly recalling the program-related matters that occurred before he came in, realizing immediately, he responded, "Okay, I’ll handle it right away."

Julian slightly raised his eyes; during his time in Vesperia, he watched many shows, yet Gary understood immediately.

This indicated that the girl must have been around him before.

About half an hour later, Gary came over holding a thick stack of documents, and handed it to Julian, "Julian, all the information about that talent show is here, including all participants and their affiliated companies."

Julian couldn’t understand why he felt a bit nervous, but outwardly he remained calm and composed, "You may go."

"Yes, Julian." As Gary left, he was curious to look back but restrained himself out of fear of being noticed.

Julian sat on the sofa, flipping through the documents in his hand, but after going through the entire stack, the information of all the participating girls was there, but not the girl he saw.

Disappointed, Julian tossed the documents aside and reclined wearily.

The girl, who on earth is she...

——

The next day.

At Moira Young’s house.

Moira Young woke up early to go to school, and as she opened her door, she found Heath Sterling and Carter Porter at the entrance, each leaning against one side of the wall, looking like they hadn’t slept all night.

"You guys..." Moira was a bit puzzled, "What brings you here?"

Heath, exhausted, forced his charming eyes open, his voice somewhat hoarse, "Lee said after you were on the show yesterday, reporters might block you today, so I’m here to protect you."

Carter squinted and nodded in agreement.

Seeing them like this, Moira suddenly felt warm inside but also found it amusing, "Did you guys stay up all night?"

"That damn Carter insisted on playing games with me, damn, I’m exhausted!" Even though Heath seemed weak initially, he suddenly roared as if on fire when mentioning this.

Carter retorted indignantly, "Wasn’t it you who insisted on showing me those—"

Hearing this, Heath’s eyes widened as if ready to devour someone, "Showing you what, showing you what? Clearly, it was you who dragged me into playing games!"

Their voices grew louder and louder, and Moira, worried about disturbing the neighbors, helplessly intervened, "Don’t argue anymore. I’m heading to school now, you guys should go home and sleep."

"Also, neither of you should drive while tired, take a cab home."

"No way! I need to ensure your safety!" Heath refused.

Moira blinked at him, "Then let’s walk together."

Upon hearing they had to walk, Carter instantly wilted, but having no other choice, he followed behind Moira obediently.

Both Heath and Carter were both weak and tired. Fortunately, Moira’s house wasn’t far from the school; otherwise, they felt they might collapse onto the ground.

As they approached the school gate, Moira hadn’t had time to react when Heath suddenly perked up and stopped her.

"You two look, there are so many people by the gate, aren’t those reporters?" Because they weren’t very close, he couldn’t see clearly.

Carter looked and sarcastically drawled, "Buddy, it’s morning school time, can there not be a lot of people?"

"I see them just blocking the entrance without the intention of entering," Heath insisted.

"Are you possessed, buddy?"

"Shut up!" Heath slapped Carter’s backside, glaring at him.

Carter was about to strike back, but Heath dodged.

"Moira, let’s take the west gate, it’s safer," Heath suggested to Moira.

Even though Moira didn’t think the people at the gate were there for her, if they were reporters, she didn’t want to encounter them regardless of who they were pursuing.

So she readily agreed to Heath’s suggestion.

"I’ll head to the west gate alone, you two should go back and sleep," Moira said, seeing how tired they were, barely able to stay standing, finding it amusing.

Of course, Heath was unwilling; he didn’t feel assured letting Moira walk alone.

After quite some time persuading, they finally escorted Moira to her classroom and even promised to pick her up at noon.

Moira knew that refusing would be futile, so she readily agreed, "I’ll eat at school at noon, you two get some more rest."

Heath yawned, "Alright, Carter and I will catch up on some sleep and be over later."

With that, the two of them left, pushing and shoving each other.

Moira watched their departing backs, her mouth involuntarily curving into a smile, truly envious of Heath and Carter’s friendship.

Moira turned back around lightly and entered the classroom. As she had arrived early, there were few people present.

Still, for some reason, Moira felt faintly like she was being watched. Feeling a bit uneasy, she looked up to find the students ahead all watching her, turning away quickly once she made eye contact.

Moira furrowed her brows slightly, not understanding.

A moment later, the teacher arrived, and before starting the class, jested with Moira, "If someone from our class really becomes a star, it would be quite the honor!"

Following the remark, everyone in the classroom turned to look at Moira, some with jealousy, others with envy.

Only then did Moira realize that many people had watched last night’s show.

After the lunch break, Moira went to the school cafeteria to eat. Various gazes were thrown her way, but fortunately, Moira was already used to it.

She surveyed the dish selection windows, finding herself uninterested in everything despite feeling genuinely hungry.

With no other option, she reluctantly ordered a cup of soybean milk leftover from breakfast.

"Would you like me to heat it for you?" the cafeteria staff kindly asked.

Moira thought for a moment, finding it unnecessary as she could drink it warm, "No, thank you." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Moira took her soybean milk, found a seat, and set it on the table.

At that moment, her phone received a text message, and as Moira unlocked her phone screen—

"Splat!"

Moira had no idea what happened, only feeling her head drenched, with white soybean milk trickling down her hair, leaving her a complete mess!

The cup on the table was empty.

For a moment, she was too stunned to react, her phone also soaked and immediately turning black.

Moira looked up abruptly, observing that everyone around her was looking her way, yet she couldn’t identify who had splashed her.
