Strongest Scammer: Scamming The World, One Death At A Time-Chapter 822: Permission Granted!
From what Han Yu had gathered, several elders were already supervising different sections of the mining operation. At best, he would be placed under one of them, perhaps as a technical advisor or assistant.
That was enough.
Han Yu did not need authority.
He needed access.
As long as he could enter the mine, observe the environment, and deploy his puppets, everything else could be managed.
The Peak Head lowered his hand.
"Those are my conditions."
Han Yu did not take even a moment to consider.
"I accept them."
His voice was steady and without hesitation.
There was no benefit in bargaining or attempting to negotiate. The conditions were already favorable. Pushing further might only invite suspicion or unnecessary complications.
The Peak Head studied him for a moment longer.
Then he gave a slight nod.
"Good."
"You may begin preparing your prototype. But do not neglect your cultivation."
His tone sharpened slightly at the last sentence.
Han Yu understood the warning clearly.
The old man had invested heavily in him. The Freezing Abyss Glacial Art was not something that could be casually learned. If Han Yu allowed himself to become distracted by external matters and slowed his cultivation progress, it would be a waste of that investment.
Han Yu bowed slightly.
"That will not happen."
And he meant it.
Everything he was doing, including this move toward the mine, ultimately served his cultivation and long-term goals.
The Peak Head leaned back again.
"I will speak with the elders overseeing the mining operation and see if a position can be arranged for you."
Han Yu's eyes flickered slightly.
That was the final piece.
Once the Peak Head intervened, the matter would no longer remain at the level of a mere proposal. It would carry weight within the sect's administrative structure.
Han Yu bowed deeply.
"Thank you, Master." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
The Peak Head waved his hand dismissively, signaling that the conversation was over.
Han Yu did not linger.
He turned and left the room, his mind already shifting into motion.
Now that permission had been granted, everything would accelerate.
He needed to refine his prototype.
He needed to coordinate with the Puppet Peak.
And most importantly…
He needed to prepare himself.
Because once he stepped into the mine, he would be stepping into a place filled not just with opportunity…
But with possible danger too.
Han Yu left the Peak Head's residence without delay, his thoughts already shifting from conversation to execution.
Now that permission had been granted, even if conditionally, there was no reason to waste time. Every moment he spent idle was a moment lost in preparation, and Han Yu had no intention of allowing that.
He returned to his personal courtyard at a brisk pace, passing through the gates and inner pathways with familiarity that had now become second nature.
The residence felt quieter than usual, with only the faint hum of formation arrays and the distant whisper of circulating Ice Qi present in the air. Meng Jueyan and Xuan Qing remained in their respective quarters, leaving Han Yu undisturbed as he moved directly toward the multipurpose workshop in the outer courtyard.
The moment he entered the workshop, his eyes swept across the organized layout of tools, materials, and partially assembled constructs.
Everything was in place.
Everything was ready.
Han Yu walked toward one of the central work tables and pulled out the puppet he had brought back from the Puppet Peak.
It had once been nothing more than a practice construct, an experimental model meant to test various movement and operational mechanisms. Now, however, it would become the foundation for something far more important.
He placed it on the table and observed it carefully.
The puppet was unimpressive at first glance.
It stood only up to his waist, its proportions compact and somewhat awkward. Instead of a humanoid form, it resembled a mechanical utility construct.
Its structure consisted of four long, jointed legs ending in wheel attachments, allowing it to both roll and step depending on terrain. The legs themselves were made with multiple segments, each connected by rotating joints that allowed flexible orientation.
Its body, however, was the most crude aspect.
A simple, box-like structure.
Unrefined.
Inelegant.
Two extendable arms protruded from the sides, currently lacking any tools or attachments. They were merely skeletal frameworks designed to accommodate interchangeable equipment.
Han Yu crossed his arms and stared at it for a few seconds.
"This won't pass," he muttered.
Even as a prototype, this design was too rough.
The Puppet Peak elders would not be convinced by something that looked like it had been assembled hastily. Even if its internal mechanisms were sound, presentation still mattered. A proper prototype needed to demonstrate not only functionality but also refinement.
Supervisor Kun might support him, but the final approval would rest with higher-ranked elders. And those individuals would judge based on both practicality and craftsmanship.
Han Yu reached out and began disassembling the puppet without hesitation.
The outer casing was removed first.
The crude box-like shell was quickly taken apart and discarded to the side. It had served its purpose as a temporary housing, but it held no real value.
Inside, however, the true core of the puppet was revealed.
Three separate puppet cores.
Han Yu picked them up one by one, examining them closely.
The first core was responsible for movement. It controlled the coordination between the legs and wheels, ensuring balance, mobility, and adaptability to uneven terrain.
The second core managed the arms and any tools attached to them. It handled precision movements, force regulation, and operational control.
The third core was the most specialized.
Analysis.
It was designed to evaluate materials, detect mineral composition, and guide the puppet's actions based on the nature of the target.
Han Yu's eyes lingered on the third core.
"This is the problem," he said quietly.
The first two cores were acceptable. They might require minor refinements, but their functionality was stable and reliable.
The third core, however, was incomplete.
It had been designed with general mineral analysis in mind, not for something as specific and delicate as Violet Spirit Quartz.
