Every trace of ordinary Blood Qi had disappeared.

In its place remained only Moon Blood Qi.

The crimson energy glowed within his core like a deep ruby illuminated from within by faint violet light. But what truly made the core unique were the dark spirals weaving through it.

These were not the scattered spots that had once appeared when Abyssal Frost Qi first began integrating into his energy system. Over time, those scattered traces had merged and reorganized themselves into elegant spiral patterns.

The Abyssal Frost Qi now formed nearly a quarter of the core's structure.

Twenty five percent.

The rest was pure Moon Blood Qi.

The two energies no longer felt unstable or hostile toward one another. Instead, they existed in a strange equilibrium, like two powerful rivers flowing through the same valley without colliding directly.

Han Yu knew the balance was not yet perfect.

Occasionally he could still feel faint resistance when circulating the two energies together, as if the techniques were still adjusting to each other's presence. But compared to the violent instability that could have occurred when combining two such powerful cultivation methods, the current situation was almost ideal.

Given enough time, the two energies would naturally harmonize further.

Han Yu opened his eyes slowly and let out a quiet breath.

In truth, the primary objective given to him by the Second Kidney Peak Head had already been accomplished. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

The old man had asked him to refine his core.

And that task was complete.

Now only gradual improvement remained before he could attempt a breakthrough into the Nascent Soul realm. Alternatively he could also challenge for the position of Inner Court disciple, something the Peak Head had suggested as one of the possible ways to establish recognition within the sect.

Yet Han Yu did not immediately pursue that path.

Instead, another opportunity had been quietly forming in his mind.

The mines.

More specifically, the Violet Spirit Quartz mine that the sect had been struggling to excavate efficiently.

The problem had been discussed more than once in the Peak Head's presence during their previous conversations. Han Yu had also been receiving steady updates from Qing Luan and her people, giving him a fairly detailed understanding of the situation.

The mining process was painfully slow because the quartz deposits were fragile. If excavated incorrectly, entire clusters of valuable crystals could shatter and lose most of their worth.

And now the sect was beginning to grow even more impatient with the slow progress.

To Han Yu, this situation looked less like a problem and more like an opportunity.

With that thought in mind, he left the cultivation chamber and went to find the Second Kidney Peak Head.

The old man was currently within his personal residence, reviewing a series of reports contained within jade slips floating before him. When Han Yu entered the room, the Peak Head raised his eyes slightly and scanned him with his spirit sense.

The inspection lasted only a moment.

Then the old man's brows lifted faintly.

"Good."

It was a single word, but the satisfaction behind it was unmistakable.

The Peak Head had already sensed the transformation within Han Yu's dantian. The refined Moon Blood Qi and the stable presence of Abyssal Frost Qi were clear signs that the young disciple had succeeded in achieving the goal set for him.

Han Yu did not speak immediately. Instead he circulated his Qi slightly, allowing the Peak Head to observe the spiral patterns within his core.

The old man nodded slowly.

"You have done well. Your core is fully refined. What remains now is simply the gradual balancing between the two techniques."

He paused briefly before continuing.

"When that balance is complete, your breakthrough to the Nascent Soul realm will become far easier. Alternatively, you could challenge an Inner Court disciple and take their position if you wish."

Han Yu listened respectfully before bowing slightly.

"I understand, Master."

In truth, he could indeed pursue the Inner Court promotion immediately if he wished. With the strength he currently possessed, defeating most Core Condensation realm Inner Court disciples would not be difficult.

And if he also utilized his soul cultivation he might even be able to defeat an Infant Soul Stage Nascent Soul realm disciple.

But he did not intend to rush that step.

His core still needed further stabilization, and more importantly he still had another objective he wanted to accomplish first.

Han Yu raised his head slightly.

"Master, I wish to gain some achievement for myself before pursuing promotion."

The Peak Head did not appear displeased by this statement. Instead he leaned back slightly in his chair, studying Han Yu with mild curiosity.

"What do you have in mind?"

Han Yu spoke carefully.

"I have heard you mention the mining operations recently. I have also heard certain rumors regarding the Violet Spirit Quartz mine."

The Peak Head's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Rumors?"

For a brief moment, his gaze sharpened.

The existence of the mine was not entirely secret by now, but information about its internal difficulties was not something widely discussed among ordinary disciples.

"How did you hear about it?" the old man asked.

Han Yu had already prepared an answer.

"I heard it from someone in the slave district," he said calmly.

With that simple sentence, he had effectively thrown the unfortunate clerk from the slave registry office directly under the carriage wheels.

If anyone investigated the source of the rumor later, that poor man would likely bear the blame.

Fortunately for Han Yu, the Peak Head did not appear particularly concerned.

In the past he might have reprimanded the spread of such information. But now things were different. Han Yu had already proven his value beyond doubt. The Peak Head had little interest in chasing down minor leaks when he had far more important matters occupying his attention.

Instead he simply waved the matter aside.

"And what do you wish to do there?"

Han Yu straightened slightly.

"I have been thinking about the mining problem."

The Peak Head's expression remained neutral, but his attention had clearly sharpened.
