STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 785: Part 7: Beast Invasion (5th Zone)
5th Zone, Wilderness
Governor Martin and Orion were watching the battle. The heads of the various forces were stopping the Tier-7 and Tier-8 corrupted beasts.
They didn’t have time to go back. They believed Governor Leon would take care of the frontline.
They were focused on dealing with the problem here. They still didn’t know the reason for the disturbance.
The number of Tier-8 beasts was growing as well. They didn’t know whether it was the work of Tier-9 corrupted beasts.
The situation was tense for them. The heads of the various families put aside their differences.
They were working together to kill the Tier-8 corrupted beasts, including the head of the Hill family. He forgot about Head Harold.
On the other hand, Head Harold was slaying the Tier-8 beasts. From time to time, he couldn’t help but turn towards the frontline.
He was wondering what the Red Moon Chambers were up to. His expression was filled with worry. He had seen a few of the Tier-7 and Tier-6 beasts escape their grasp.
He believed Governor Leon would deal with the Tier-7 beasts, but the Tier-6 beasts were a real headache. Their numbers were high.
He didn’t know whether the supervisors could handle it. He shook his head and focused on the current battle.
Meanwhile,
Governor Leon struck the insect beasts which were causing havoc. He killed those Tier-6 insect beasts within minutes.
He had seen the casualties happen. He didn’t want any more casualties to occur. He swiftly killed each one of them.
On the other hand, Jeremy Night had been fighting against an insect beast, but that insect beast was killed by Governor Leon as well.
Jeremy Night didn’t expect the person to intervene. He looked around and saw the pile of corpses ahead.
His eyes flashed with a gleam. He understood the reason: Governor Leon couldn’t afford to lose more men. He had to flex those muscles.
Yet, Jeremy Night was not in a happy mood. He was worried about the Red Moon Chamber members.
Suddenly, he turned around and looked toward Catherine Rosewood and her family’s beast tamers.
Right at that moment, while he was seeing her, she looked at him as well. She was doing fine. Her eyes showed relief upon seeing him.
Jeremy then nodded to her before turning towards the front. He could tell that everyone was exhausted.
Some of them had withdrawn their Lifeline beasts. They were using their battle armor to fight. The armors were heavy and difficult to operate from the inside.
But it was better than nothing. If they fought without it, the risk of death was higher.
Jeremy Night was at ease right now. There were more beasts in front of him, but most of the beasts in this wave were wiped out.
Only a few of them remained. They were being taken care of by other beast tamers. He got a rare chance to recover.
So, he started using the breathing method. The natural energy entered his body. He immediately felt relieved.
The warm energy soothed his tensed nerves. In the other direction, beast tamer Melinda and her team members were doing fine.
The members Freya and Theo had suffered injuries, but they were not fatal. Still, Melinda couldn’t help but think of Jeremy Night. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
She knew Jeremy Night’s strength, but the current situation was different. Tier-6 and above beasts had started appearing.
She was worried that he could face one.
Governor Leon stood on top of the wall. He had taken care of the insect beasts. Now, that wave is completed.
He didn’t know whether the next wave would come or not. He took his device out and phoned Martin.
Fortunately, the call was connected. Governor Martin told him that they were facing a terrible situation. The Tier-8 beasts were coming in large numbers.
Hearing that, the blood on Leon’s face drained. If it were heard by the beast tamers on the frontline, their morale would collapse.
Leon quickly calmed his nerves.
"Shall I come there?" Leon asked.
"No. You handle things there. Already, one or two beasts have escaped under our noses. If they reach the city, they could cause a disaster," Martin replied.
They talked about a few other things before ending the call.
Leon then turned towards the frontline. He was not going to let another sneak attack happen.
Meanwhile,
Jeremy Night felt somewhat recovered. He then started looking ahead. He used his eye power to see whether the next wave of attack was coming.
He saw a giant scorpion coming towards them. The size of the scorpion was massive; he had not seen such a giant scorpion before.
Jeremy felt the crisis again. The supervisors were going to face the beast first. It didn’t take long for him to see the supervisors taking action against the beast.
Everyone’s expression changed. Not one, but a team of supervisors joined together to fight the scorpion beast.
Seeing that, Jeremy sighed in relief. He was worried that they would be caught off guard. The supervisors were stopping the scorpion beast.
He then shifted his gaze from there and started looking around. He didn’t know whether any other beasts intended to attack.
Time passed.
Jeremy was waiting for the next beast tide, but it didn’t happen. The scorpion beast had been dealt with earlier.
Now, the battlefield was empty. No other beasts were ahead. This situation was noticed by others, and everyone had a sigh of relief.
Jeremy took a deep breath. He then looked towards Catherine Rosewood and the others around him.
Everyone was safe. He saw a lot of them sitting down on the ground. He didn’t do it; he was still using his eye power to observe the surroundings.
"Is it over?" Jeremy asked himself.
His clothes were drenched in blood. Only now did he look at his condition. The corpses of the beasts were all around him.
Suddenly, his senses alarmed him. He became vigilant. There were no beasts ahead, so where was the sense of danger coming from?
He casually looked around and found a Tier-5 beast tamer looking at him. His gaze was not normal. Jeremy saw his badge and understood the person was from the Association.
But he had not seen or offended this person before.
