STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 782: Part 4: Beast Invasion (5th Zone)
5th Zone, Wilderness
After getting a message from the city administration, the family heads left their homes one after another.
They reached the city wall in a flash. They saw Governor Leon standing on top of the wall.
The family heads and the heads of other organisations were Tier-8 Beast Tamers.
They knew a Beast Tide was taking place. In front of them, the lower-tier beasts had completely surrounded the city.
But the beast tamers were doing a good job of defending the city, so they didn’t know why Governor Leon had summoned them.
They decided to wait for the others to arrive.
It didn’t take long for everyone to gather. Head Harold had come as well. Unlike the others, he was paying attention to the battle happening outside.
He was watching the Beast Tamers from the Red Moon Chamber; his gaze quickly swept across the frontline.
The appearance of Jeremy Night was distinctive. He was the only one without a lifeline beast.
While the rest were fighting using their lifeline beasts, Jeremy Night was using blade skills to fight.
The scene was so eye-catching that some other family heads started paying attention to Jeremy Night. They were all surprised.
Among them, the family heads of the Boone and Rosewood families were present as well.
They were seeing such a talented young Tier-3 Beast Tamer for the first time.
They didn’t know that Jessie Boone and Catherine Rosewood had already crossed paths with this same talented young Beast Tamer.
Among the family heads, one person’s expression was different. His face was full of disbelief and anger. He was in disbelief because the person who hurt his son was still alive.
"Darkshade guys are deteriorating. They are not as good as back in the day," Robert Hill muttered to himself.
He had posted a job and paid the money as well, yet the job was not done. But he couldn’t do anything about it.
He knew the Darkshade Organisation was a professional illegal organisation with someone in the Human Alliance as a backer.
He could only make a polite request again. He then noticed someone, the person was none other than Head Harold. He was about to look at him, but Governor Leon turned towards them all of a sudden.
"I guess everyone has come. I got a message from Governor Martin and Orion. The Beast Tide is slowly becoming a Beast Invasion," Governor Leon said to them.
Gasp!
A small exclamation occurred. The family heads were shocked to hear the news. They couldn’t believe it. Some of them knew the possibility, but they had thought they had more time.
Boom!
Governor Leon sensed the presence of Tier-7 corrupted beasts. His eyes turned cold.
He thought those Tier-7 beasts must have slipped away from those two. He then ordered the elders to take care of the beasts.
The city officials, who were Tier-7 Beast Tamers, were here on standby.
They immediately acted, and a few of them went forward to deal with the threat. The family heads and owners of other organisations understood the seriousness of the matter.
Head Harold, who was watching all of this, felt something was off. He understood that the two governors were deep inside the wilderness.
It should be impossible for the beasts to escape their radar unless they had met with other serious problems.
Governor Leon watched the scene. He smiled after seeing that the Tier-7 beasts were swiftly dealt with by the elders.
Boom!
The next second, he felt an even more ominous aura. His smile disappeared. He looked ahead and sensed the aura of Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts.
Leon’s eyes turned cold. He said, "Everyone, go to the frontline. They need your help. I’ll handle things here."
Swoosh!
Hearing that, the family heads looked at each other. The next second, they flew towards the deep area of the wilderness.
One by one, the other organisation owners followed behind them. Head Harold was among them as well.
Robert Hill wanted to do something to Jeremy Night, but he changed his mind at the last moment. Head Harold was here, and he didn’t want to face the man’s wrath.
Not only that, but by taking action here, he could really piss off the Governors. So, he gave one last look at Jeremy before leaving.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Night felt a strong gaze pass over him. The gaze was so malicious he understood that someone was targeting him.
Then, he saw many Tier-8 Beast Tamers flying past in the sky. He recognised one of them, the person who showed ill intent.
With his eye power, he saw the face clearly and memorized it. He decided to dig for information later. Right now, he needed to deal with the corrupted beasts in front of him.
Puchak!
The katana blade in his hand moved in a blur before stabbing the corrupted beast in front of him.
He targeted weak parts, especially the blood vessels, to kill them quickly. He severed those vessels with precision.
He had already killed dozens, but the number of beasts continued to increase. He didn’t know what was going on ahead.
Only if the higher-tier beasts were eliminated would the lower-tier beasts flee the place. Until then, they had to face the tide.
"This is risky," Jeremy Night thought.
He took a few seconds to glance at the other Beast Tamers. Unlike him, they were not as physically affected because their Lifeline Beasts were fighting the battles.
Only if the beast sustained a serious injury would the Beast Tamer receive a backlash; until then, they could support from behind.
Unfortunately, Jeremy didn’t have such a luxury. His Lifeline Beast was still an egg. Though the beast couldn’t fight yet, its starlight power was powerful.
Right at this moment, there was a small gap. All the lower-tier beasts that had charged were killed.
There was a few minutes of break for everyone. They knew the Beast Tide was not over and another wave might come soon.
Taking the opportunity, the Beast Tamers used emergency rations to recover and gave healing treasures to their lifeline beasts.
Jeremy Night began using an inner breathing method, a healing type. Since the body has a self-healing ability, the breathing method helped him recover as well.
