STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 781: Part 3: Beast Invasion (5th Zone)
5th Zone, Beast Invasion
Catherine Rosewood was in shock. She couldn’t believe a Tier-5 beast was so close to her. But Jeremy Night quickly killed the beast and saved her life.
It was no ordinary beast, but a terrifying hyena. It could tear apart the body of a lifeline beast with a single attack.
Catherine looked toward Jeremy Night with a grateful expression. She then turned toward the corrupted beasts in front of her and started fighting against them.
The family beast tamers near her pushed the corrupted beasts backward. They didn’t want to give another Tier-5 beast a chance to sneak up on them.
Swoosh!
Jeremy shifted back to his position. He started dealing with the four-legged beasts. The other Beast Tamers didn’t have time to waste. They continued to fight against their own corrupted beasts.
Cut!
Jeremy’s blade cleaved the body of the four-legged hybrid beast in two. He was about to find his next target when his sharp eyesight caught another beast. He zoomed in to see the creature more closely.
"Tier-5 Snake?" Jeremy thought.
It didn’t matter which species it was; Tier-5 snakes were dangerous. They were powerful and poisonous as well. They could easily kill the frontline with their deadly toxin.
Swoosh!
Jeremy Night once again moved away from his position. He went forward against the tide of the beasts, using small gaps to advance. In a flash, he got closer to the Tier-5 snake.
The length of the snake was over 30 feet, and its head was over two meters wide. While he was looking at the beast, the beast was looking at him as well.
A quick gleam appeared in Jeremy Night’s eyes. He realized that the size of the snake beast was quite deceptive.
If not for his senses alerting him, he wouldn’t have known. The size of this snake was small compared to a typical Tier-5 snake beast.
Swoosh!
The green snake darted toward him the next second. Jeremy then used his X-ray vision. The snake beast’s body became transparent under his gaze; he could see the blood vessels and the organs.
Slash!
Right at that moment, another corrupted beast tried to sneak attack him. He executed a reverse slash.
Puchak!
The starlight blade cut through the body easily. Blood spurted onto the ground from the beast’s wound.
Swoosh!
He sidestepped to face the next beast. By this time, the Tier-5 snake had reached him.
Slash!
Jeremy swung his blade at the green snake. He used the power of his eye to execute a precision strike. In an instant, the blade came into contact with the weak part of the snake.
Puchak!
The starlight blade felt no resistance as it penetrated inside. The snake beast was intelligent; it realized it had made a mistake and wanted to retreat.
But Jeremy withdrew the blade and slashed at another weak area.
Puchak!
The starlight-coated blade cut through the snake’s scales, slicing through the flesh and stabbing an organ.
Hiss!
The green snake hissed out loud in pain. It lost its balance, and its body was exposed to further attack.
Stab!
Jeremy withdrew the blade before thrusting it back into the same spot. The blade went deep, rupturing the organ.
Puchak!
A torrent of blood gushed forth from the stab wound as the snake beast rolled on the ground.
Jeremy didn’t have time to attack further, as other beasts interfered. He had no choice but to use his blade against them.
As time passed, the fighting intensified. The Beast Tamers and their Lifeline beasts were getting exhausted. If this continued, the Lifeline beasts would be injured, which could lead to casualties.
Supervisor Jersey was overseeing the beast tamers on his side.
He didn’t want any deaths to occur, especially when the lower-tier corrupted beasts were the ones attacking. He decided to intervene whenever possible.
His gaze then involuntarily fell on Jeremy Night. He had been observing the battle and found that the Tier-3 Beast Tamer hadn’t used his Lifeline beast.
Instead, he used his blade skills to slay the corrupted beasts. The number of corrupted beasts he had slain was higher than anyone else’s.
More importantly, while others were fighting as a team, the kid was fighting all alone and he was doing better than the rest.
Jersey was curious about the young man and decided to get to know him once the battle ended.
Meanwhile,
Governor Martin and Orion continued to block the higher-tier beasts from escaping their pressure. However, both of them were slowly facing problems.
The number of higher-tier beasts was gradually increasing. At first, they faced only one or two Tier-8 corrupted beasts, but the numbers had grown significantly.
Both of them were feeling the pressure now. Suddenly, a few Tier-6 and two Tier-7 beasts escaped right under their noses because they were too focused on the Tier-8 threats.
"Sh!t," Orion cursed under his breath.
Martin’s expression changed drastically. He was about to go back to kill them, but the Tier-8 beast in front of him tried to break out. Martin had no choice but to stay.
Boom!
He released more coercion, forcing the Tier-8 beast backward. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
"We can’t stop them alone. Call for backup," Martin said to Orion.
"Good, I was wondering when you would say it," Orion said with a chuckle.
Boom!
Orion launched an attack at a bird-type corrupted beast.
Shriek!
The bird beast made a weird sound before crashing to the ground. Taking the opportunity, Orion used his device to send an emergency message to Leon.
Once that was done, he relaxed slightly, put away the device, and continued fighting.
...
City Wall
Governor Leon saw the text message, and his expression changed drastically. He immediately contacted the admin office and told the officials to release the emergency message.
All Tier-8 Beast Tamers were needed at the city wall as soon as possible. Leon ended the call and looked ahead. He didn’t know how many Tier-7 and Tier-8 beasts were going to appear.
The situation was dire; they needed the help of all the powerhouses in the city.
