Chapter 763: Star Fist

Office Room

Jeremy Night went through the books. His gaze fell on a silver book. The book cover was silver in color, which piqued his interest.

He picked the book up and opened it to read.

"Star Fist"

The title itself jolted him awake. His heart was stirred. Was this a coincidence? Could there be anything more suitable than a technique with the word "Star" in it?

He had starlight power in his mental zone. He had named it that because the white mist ability of the unknown beast egg reminded him of the stars in the sky.

That was why he had named it like that. Now that he saw a fist technique with a similar name, how could he ignore it?

He saw a small handwritten description and started reading it.

Harold’s eyes paused. He noticed that the cover was silver. He recalled it was a fist technique that had attributes of the star element.

Among all the elemental powers that were known after the mutation, star power was known to be the rarest one.

So far, only one person has awakened it. That person was the owner of the book. That senior was the earliest Tier-9 Beast Tamer.

But shortly after his breakthrough, he went to an unexplored area for a mission and disappeared. There had been no news since then. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

The Human Alliance was at an early stage at that time. They declared him dead, and the incomplete book remained in the hands of his family.

But the family members didn’t have star power. They exchanged the incomplete technique with a certain organization for a technique suitable for their descendants at that time.

Later, that organization tried to have their Beast Tamers learn it. But no one was able to get started with it. Even S-Grade talents failed.

That organization found the answer in the end. Star power was necessary to even begin the technique because it draws star power to temper the body and the fist.

Since then, the technique has transferred through numerous hands before Harold got it.

Harold had thought the kid would pick some other technique, because other techniques didn’t have such limitations.

For example, there is a fire fist technique. One can set up a fire to practice that technique. It is the same with a sand technique; one can practice with hot sand.

As long as they have a body-related talent, it is easy to get started. But for the Star Fist technique, one needs a star power talent.

On the other hand, Jeremy’s heart was stirred. He thought that Star Fist was suitable for him.

It was mentioned that a person needs a star element talent to practice it, but it didn’t mention specifically whether a lifeline beast’s star talent could be used.

He guessed no one had seen a beast with star power before, which was why they didn’t mention it.

He didn’t look at the rest of the books. He picked the silver-covered book and looked toward Head Harold.

"Head, I like this Star Fist technique," Jeremy said to him.

"Did you read the description?" Harold asked.

"Yes, it says a person with a Star-type talent can practice it," Jeremy replied.

"Then why did you pick it? There are numerous others who tried it before you. Many of them were S-Grade talents," Harold asked.

He was genuinely confused. He thought the kid just wanted to try practicing the technique.

Jeremy said, "Head, I’m practicing a healing-type breathing method. I can practice it without having a healing talent. My Supreme Combat Body doesn’t have restrictions," he added.

Hearing that, Harold was taken aback. He had almost forgotten about it. He knew the kid was practicing that breathing method.

It was a breathing method promoted by the Human Alliance. It is basic for all first-year students and helps them get familiar with breathing methods in general.

But once they know how to practice, students usually choose a better breathing method. To think that the kid had been using that common method to reach the Tier-3 stage.

He didn’t know what to say. But the breathing method was a good example of why the kid was confident about practicing the Star Fist.

"Alright, take it with you. If you can really get started with the technique, then you will be the second person after that senior. You will become famous."

"If possible, I’ll try to find a suitable breathing method for you. Though the inner healing method is good, it is still a common method promoted by the Human Alliance."

"If you can practice attribute methods, then it would give you more advantage. So you can select a suitable one later," Harold said.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night’s eyes flickered. He had forgotten about the breathing method because he hadn’t found any difficulty with it.

If he could get stronger by practicing other attribute breathing methods, then that would be even better.

Jeremy Night then thanked him. Harold told him to go back and practice, and Jeremy Night left the room.

Shortly afterwards, he came back to his room. After entering, he sat down on the sofa and began to read the incomplete technique.

The Star Fist talks about attracting star power first, then channeling the star power through the routes mentioned in the book.

Jeremy didn’t have star talent, so he could not draw star power normally. But he had other methods. He decided to channel his starlight power instead.

He thought the white mist energy was similar to star power. His doubts would be cleared once he started practicing it.

He then began to read the technique.

Head Harold phoned Head Neil Moon and talked to him. He told him about the incomplete fist technique. A few of the books had been sent by Head Neil Moon.

When Harold mentioned Jeremy Night’s selection, Neil Moon was shocked because he also knew about the technique’s limitations.

Only someone with star power could practice the technique. He had forgotten about the breathing method; it didn’t strike his mind at first.

But when Head Harold reminded him about Jeremy Night’s breathing method, he too was taken aback. He had forgotten that the kid was still using the basic breathing method.

Once Harold explained Jeremy Night’s reasoning, Neil Moon understood. No one truly knew the limits of the Supreme Combat Body talent.
