Chapter 49: Chapter 3 The Bolt from the Blue (Part 1)

Human body is a treasure trove, its mysteries many spend their entire lives trying to decode to no avail.

Deep within Qin Yu’s body muscles, the most fundamental cells had already become different from ordinary people. Years of continuous extreme training, coupled with the absorption of Inner Strength and the magical cleansing flow of the Meteor Tear, caused some magical changes in the most minute cells of Qin Yu’s body.

However, at this moment, as Qin Yu kept learning those movements, his cells started to absorb nature’s spiritual energy continuously, and began to change once more.

Each cell was like a bottomless pit, the incoming spiritual energy from nature was swallowed up the moment it entered. Although the spiritual energy enveloped Qin Yu’s entire body, even forming a mist-like appearance, the vast amount of spiritual energy was still far from enough for his body’s absorption.

With so much absorbed by a single cell, and considering how many cells were in Qin Yu’s body, it served to illustrate the boundlessness of human potential.

"The thirty-six mysterious images of the Tongtian Map do indeed possess miraculous powers," Qin Yu suppressed the excitement in his heart and wholeheartedly learned the thirty-six movements, striving for perfection in each one, down to the fine movements of his fingers, to make them exactly the same.

Qin Yu found that the more accurate the movements, the faster the absorption rate of the spiritual energy from nature became.

When he first began to learn the thirty-six movements, Qin Yu felt rather awkward. However, as he kept learning and the movements became more perfect, Qin Yu found performing these thirty-six movements so comfortable that every muscle and bone in his body felt a comfort from the inside out.

The moon slowly descended behind the willows, and dawn was gradually breaking, yet Qin Yu remained immersed in this set of movements, his actions becoming more and more natural. Though the movements were odd, Qin Yu now performed them without any sense of awkwardness or strangeness.

Smooth, natural.

Qin Yu finally felt this wonderful sensation. As he performed the thirty-six movements, he achieved the most basic level of ’smooth, natural’ execution. At this moment, the most shocking thing for Qin Yu was that the spiritual energy enveloping his body had changed.

It was no longer in the form of mist but had become thirty-six streams of energy the thickness of an arm, penetrating and merging into Qin Yu’s body at a much faster rate than before. By the time he had reached the realm of thirty-six arm-thick streams of energy wrapping around his body, time had already passed...

Three days and three nights!

For a full three days and nights, Qin Yu, without eating or drinking, was completely engrossed in this set of movements, and it was only when he stopped that he felt the significant changes in his body.

"Feeling clear-headed and refreshed, not hungry in the slightest. This feeling is really nice." A sharp gleam burst from Qin Yu’s eyes as he felt very excited, "No matter what mysteries lie within the ’Tongtian Map,’ just the surface images alone have brought about such a huge change in me. I am already very satisfied."

Even if he were to lose the first block of the Tongtian Map at this point, Qin Yu wouldn’t mind, because he had already imprinted the thirty-six images in his mind.

Of course, Qin Yu didn’t believe that the mystery of the Tongtian Map lay merely within these simple thirty-six images. If just learning these images could lead to success, surely someone would have figured out the secrets within after so many years. Moreover, Qin Yu didn’t believe that body refining alone could make one reach the level of that legendary individual from the past.

"Little Black!" Qin Yu, seeing the Black Hawk feigning sleep in the courtyard, called out with a smile.

Little Black suddenly opened its eyes, excitedly fluttering its wings when it saw Qin Yu finally stop the cultivation practice. It had been incredibly bored with Qin Yu’s continuous training over the past three days.

"It’s been such a long time, I should go and turn in the task. If I don’t do it soon, Heavenly Net will probably deem my task a failure," Qin Yu thought to himself. Immediately, he took the iron box containing Zhen Xu’s head, and then sat on Black Hawk’s back, leaving the small town.

Black Hawk streaked through the skies, its speed incredibly fast.

...

"I’m a Gold Medal Killer now," Qin Yu, having undergone shape-shifting, wore a golden mask and left a branch of Heavenly Net with a handful of Silver Notes, "Hehe, the person in charge of that Heavenly Net branch knew I was the killer Meteor, and they were so enthusiastic. This has never happened before."

Qin Yu reflected in his heart.

Just now when he had turned in his mission, the person in charge was extremely warm to Qin Yu; in the past, when Qin Yu had turned in missions, the person had been cold, offering only formulaic service. Qin Yu couldn’t help but be struck by this change.

What Qin Yu didn’t know was that the status of a Gold Medal Killer was extremely high, and even among Gold Medal Killers, there were distinctions of upper, middle, and lower.

Killing an Early Stage Innate earned the title of Gold Medal Killer; killing a Middle Innate did too, as did killing a Late Innate Stage. Of course, these three classes of Gold Medal Killers couldn’t be considered equal.

Qin Yu had killed Zhen Xu, a Late-stage Innate Expert, and now, even among Gold Medal Killers, he was considered top-notch. Such an elite figure naturally warranted extreme enthusiasm from any small branch manager.

As soon as Qin Yu had left the branch, the branch manager of Heavenly Net immediately ordered, "Killer Meteor has just left; check his identity immediately."

Although it was a rule of Heavenly Net not to check the identity of any ’Outer Network’ members, a Gold Medal Killer was an Innate Expert, and the Heavenly Net Leader had personally given the order to investigate the identity of the killer Meteor. So, Heavenly Net naturally wanted to investigate, but their people had just thought about tailing him when they discovered...

"Sir, there’s no trace of Killer Meteor on East Street."

"Sir, there’s no trace of Killer Meteor on West Street."

...

The manager was suddenly puzzled, "Odd, could Meteor actually fly to the heavens and burrow into the earth? Why can’t he be found?"

Indeed, Qin Yu could take to the skies. At this moment, he was sitting on Black Hawk’s back, soaring high in the upper realms of the sky, utterly invisible from the ground. Black Hawk’s flight was too high and too fast; investigating Qin Yu’s identity was nearly as hard as scaling the heavens themselves.

In the high skies, Qin Yu felt the strong winds blowing against him.

"My father has never allowed me to participate in his plan. Now that I am an Innate Expert..." Qin Yu’s heart surged with excitement at this moment, thrilled at the prospect of his father learning that he was an Innate Expert. Furthermore, he, Qin Yu, was also the first ever Innate External Power Expert on Hidden Dragon Continent.

When Qin Yu was young and unaware, he thought his father’s absence meant a lack of love, so he dedicated himself to cultivation. As he grew older, Qin Yu came to understand the true situation – his father was fully engrossed in the plan to annihilate the Xiang Family. His big brother and second brother were also involved, and Qin Yu very much wanted to help his father. However, his father had refused him on the grounds that he had not yet reached the Innate Realm.

Finally... Qin Yu had become an Innate Expert.

"Little Black, fly straight to Yan Capital City," Qin Yu ordered, crushing the golden mask and getting rid of everything that could expose his identity as a killer. Then, he used the Shape-shifting technique and once again returned to his original appearance. Qin Yu could hardly wait any longer.

Little Black seemed to understand Qin Yu’s mood, letting out a sharp, high-pitched howl, flapping its wings vigorously, increasing its speed once more, and turning into a black light that headed straight for Yan Capital City.
