Spoiled by the CEO after amnesia!-Chapter 673 - 653: No Shame Like Yours
The director finished speaking and looked toward Jiayi on the couch.
The young woman, draped in Mayor Huo’s overcoat, appeared slightly dazed as if lost in her thoughts, her delicate face utterly pallid.
Is she still holding a grudge against the police department?
The director felt anxious and hastily said with respect, "Mrs. Huo, my apologies, the subordinates at the police department might not have recognized you, unaware that the gentleman was your father, I will definitely reprimand them properly later..."
"Enough with the chit-chat, just go handle it," Huo Zhenyang interrupted in a cool tone.
"Yes," the director sensed that the atmosphere between the mayor and his wife seemed a bit tense, but dared not inquire further and immediately turned to leave.
As the director left to take care of matters, Huo Zhenyang turned around and headed straight for the revolving glass doors of the police station.
Jiayi was startled for a couple of seconds before coming to her senses and hurriedly followed behind him, also stepping out of the police station.
Outside the police station, the sky was gradually darkening; it was already evening.
Huo Zhenyang walked up to his car and glanced at Ade, "Take the young mistress back to the hospital."
With that, he bent down and got straight into the black vehicle.
Two assistants followed him into the car.
Jiayi was still in shock when his car engine started and the vehicle began to move forward.
After about ten seconds, it turned at the intersection and disappeared from her view.
"Young mistress, Mr. Chu’s matter has been resolved, the director just said they could leave after finishing the paperwork, I’ll take you back to the hospital," Ade offered.
She clenched her fists, then after a moment, bent down and entered the car.
Ade got into the driver’s seat behind her, ready to start the car, but then heard a voice from behind, "Go back to Disheng."
Ade was startled, "But young mistress, the young master said to take you back to the hospital..."
"Am I paralyzed now? It’s just a common fever, and it’s already gone, do I need to be hospitalized?" she raised her voice.
Ade, feeling helpless, drove toward the villa.

At the police station.
After the paperwork was done, the sky had completely darkened.
Chu Yanhan walked out the main entrance.
The butler, having received a call from the third miss confirming that her master had been bailed out, had hurried back to the police station and was waiting outside.
Though he was only detained for a few hours, Mr. Chu appeared weary in both body and spirit, his complexion grim.
The butler could not help but sigh, thinking how in China, Mr. Chu was esteemed and cherished, not just by domestic servants and colleagues, but even the Royal Ya Family had to show him respect. Tasting the bitterness of prison for the first time on Chinese soil was indeed a disgrace.
Thankfully, at the critical moment, the third son-in-law still arrived.
Otherwise, if Mr. Chu was truly prosecuted and convicted, the news reaching China would not be a laughing matter. How would they ever manage that situation?
The two got into the car and soon arrived at the apartment building where Chu Yanhan lived in Green Island Garden.
"Sir, I’ll go park the car in the garage. You go upstairs and rest," the butler said with concern.
Chu Yanhan watched the car drive toward the garage, stood in place for a dozen seconds, took a deep breath, then turned and strode towards another nearby building.
Reaching the desired floor, he looked at the red-brown anti-theft iron door on the left side of the staircase and pressed the doorbell.
As light footsteps approached, a familiar female voice wafted over, "Who is it—"
Then, the smaller door within the security door clicked open.
Xia Tingxuan, peering through the small door, was taken aback by the familiar figure outside, and then sarcastically said, "Shouldn’t you be in jail right now?"
"Jiayi asked Huo Zhenyang to come. You ignore me, so my daughter and son-in-law pay respects to me," Chu Yanhan said through gritted teeth.
Xia Tingxuan was not surprised.
After all, Huo Zhenyang was the father-in-law of the Huo family; he would definitely step in. It was impossible for him to just watch as he was thrown into prison.
She was too lazy to say anything to him and tried to slam the door.
Chu Yanhan hurriedly said, "Wait a minute!"
"I’m not as idle as you. I still have to take care of the person you injured," Xia Tingxuan said coldly.
Seeing her about to visit Ye Yongning, Chu Yanhan’s face fell in an instant, "Didn’t you and his assistant send him home? Now you’re going to his house again? He’s not a child, and he doesn’t lack anything. His family must have a nanny; does he still need you to take care of him?"
"I’m not as shameless as you, acting as if nothing happened after beating someone up. You might not feel embarrassed, but I do."
Chu Yanhan’s face turned purple with anger, yet he persisted, "Then I’ll go with you."
Xia Tingxuan laughed in exasperation, "What for? To punch him again?"
Chu Yanhan’s face stiffened, "Don’t worry, I won’t lift a hand again."
Xia Tingxuan couldn’t be bothered to argue with him, "I’m not going with you."
"Then I’ll just stand at your doorstep. You can choose not to leave the house today, but the moment you step out of this door, I’ll follow you," he declared.
"Chu Yanhan, don’t you think you’re too shameless!"
"I just don’t feel at ease! You’re a woman going to a bachelor’s home; who knows what inappropriate things he might do to you?"
Ye Yongning was always visiting Tingxuan, and Chu Yanhan was already worried enough. Ever since moving to Green Island Garden, he was only short of buying a telescope to watch her house. Now that he saw her going to Ye’s home alone, he was even less likely to agree.
"Hehe, a guilty conscience! Do you think everyone is like you?"
...
After half a day of arguing, the two were at a stalemate.
Seeing him standing at the door, refusing to leave, intent on monitoring her movements, Xia Tingxuan finally softened her tone:
"You just beat Yongning to such a state, it’s good enough that he’s not angry. Even if I let you go, he wouldn’t let you in."
Chu Yanhan pondered for a long while, finally gritting his teeth, "I’ll go apologize then, he has to let me in!"
Xia Tingxuan didn’t expect him to be willing to apologize just to cling to her like a plaster, which was both infuriating and amusing, but she said no more.

Meanwhile, Ade drove back to the Disheng Villa Area.
Upon entering the gate, the sun was already setting.
When Auntie Li saw Jiayi had returned, she hurried to the foyer, "Why has the young mistress come back? Weren’t you in the hospital? Are you feeling better? ... Ah, I told you this morning not to meet clients. You already had a heavy fever."
"The fever has subsided, I’m fine now," Jiayi said, leaning against the wall of the foyer, bending over to take off her shoes.
After the fever, her body felt as if it was drained of strength, somewhat shaky.
"Then... there’s no trouble with Mr. Chu, right?" Auntie Li just heard about the commotion at the hospital from George and was quite shocked.
"Nothing happened."
Huo Zhenyang, sitting in the living room sofa, heard the slight commotion at the door.
Knowing she did not stay in the hospital and came back immediately, his brow furrowed, a deep displeasure brewing, his gaze growing tense, unconsciously glancing towards the foyer.
Seeing her finish changing her shoes, ready to come in, he put down the municipal hall files in his hand and headed straight upstairs.
Jiayi, catching sight of the figure in its long stride preparing to go upstairs with its back towards her, sidestepped Ade and Auntie Li and hurried inside, standing in the middle of the living room, just in time to block his path with her petite body.
A frail shadow fell into his line of sight as the small woman walked determinedly up to him.
