Chapter 112: Chapter 112—First Direct Kill

Cole waited in his position, expecting Michael’s arrival, and he didn’t have to wait too long.

Michael, with his still domineering appearance, calmly walked into Cole’s line of sight.

"Tired of running, uhhh," Michael said.

"But knowing you, you must be scheming something," Micheal said with a nonchalant face.

"None of those matter in the end, hahahaha."

"They will all be crushed under my overwhelming force."

Cole just maintained his silence and stared at Micheal, waiting in an activated state.

Just as Cole expected, Michael suddenly burst forward with his hands heading straight for Cole’s heart.

But Cole didn’t falter; he maintained his smile while watching the approaching Cole.

"Let’s test then," Cole smiled.

Having refilled some of his Life energy, he activated Kinetic Acceleration only in his torso area.

He moved to the side just as Micheal’s attack reached him.

That was the end, though. Cole raised his lightning-coated hands and sent them down while also activating Kinetic Acceleration for just that area.

The attack came down with so much power that the air was scorched and split apart.

Michael’s body was in a position that made it almost impossible for him to dodge or block.

His eyes widened in shock as he looked at the attack approaching.

Bam!

The attack landed with so much intensity, it cracked the ground beneath them and shook all of the underground areas.

Micheal spit out a mouthful of blood instantly.

After that successful attack, Cole distanced himself from Micheal a little.

He knew that attack landed because Michael wasn’t expecting such a thing, but he still got a confidence boost.

"Come on," Cole shouted.

Michael struggled to his feet as his body shuddered as if he were laughing.

"Muhahahahahhaha."

"You never disappoint, Cole Bremont," Michael said.

He began re-stretching his body, trying to act like he wasn’t injured, but Cole wasn’t fooled.

He knew Micheal was actually injured, due to the flow of Dark energy he was observing in him.

Because he was observing the flow of dark energy in Michael, Cole also knew to be more careful.

"He is still hiding something," Cole thought.

Michael stood opposite Cole, waiting for Cole to attack, his apprehension obvious in his eyes.

Cole also waited in his place, waiting for Micheal to attack. This created a weird sort of deadlock.

"Sigh, Cole Bremont, let’s end this now."

"One final attack; the winner gets to live."

Cole felt quite shocked by the sudden change in situation. But he seems to know the reason for that.

"He must have noticed the changes in the times we have battled."

"He can’t afford to prolong it anymore."

"Then let’s do it that way and go all outtttttt," Cole thought with fiery eyes.

He noticed the large change in Micheal’s flow of dark energy; it flowed extremely aggressively with utmost intensity.

"He is really going all out," Cole said.

"Then let me also put everything I have out there; the winner takes it all."

He activated every single one to the peak, his lightning coat raging intensely. His Eyes of Scrutiny glowing in otherworldly light.

Life energy revolved around his body with utmost Force.

"I am ready," Cole thought.

Michael’s body was now completely covered in dark lines; faint tendrils had already begun taking shape all around his body too.

Making him even less human.

The ground beneath his feet suddenly shifted as he moved all around the place but did not approach Cole.

Earth armor also took shape around his fists alone while the ground rumbled.

"Take this," He suddenly shouted.

Cole was also not standing in place; he had activated Kinetic Acceleration all around his body while he began bouncing from wall to wall.

His momentum built up at an exponential rate the instant he felt ready.

He also sprang at Michael.

The two of them approached the other with world-crushing force in an attempt to determine the victor.

They arrived at the center in no time, and two of them threw direct punches at each other.

The two punches are heading straight for the head.

Cole watched the attack getting close to his face and instantaneously activated Kinetic Acceleration.

He moved his head to the side just enough to avoid a lethal attack, but Michael was incapable of such split-second acceleration.

Cole’s attack landed head-on. Hitting him straight on the forehead.

While his attack hit Cole on his shoulder.

Despite only being hit on the shoulder, the attack moved all through Cole’s body, almost completely knocking him out.

Michael, on the other hand, due to his extra sturdy body, didn’t show any physical lesions.

Thud!

The two of them fell to the ground at the same time.

On the ground, Cole stared at the roof above him, while his vision gradually blurred. Cole felt himself losing consciousness when he heard a voice from not far away from him.

"You did this to me,"

"I never chose to be like this, but you forced me."

"This is on you, Cole Bremont."

"My world would be much better without you,"

"This is all your fault."

Cole was too weak to even say anything; he had used up all of his Life energy and his body was already completely weak.

"Carry this burden, Cole Bremont."

"You did this,"

Michael’s voice gradually faded until it completely vanished.

Cole lay in his spot, still reminiscing on Micheal’s words. Since there was nothing else for him to do.

"Did I really do this to him?"

"Was it really my presence that created a monster?"

"If I did that to him, what else have I caused to others?"

Cole’s world began crashing as his thoughts spiraled out of control.

He thought back to every decision he had made without thinking about others.

He thought back to how his actions caused problems for others.

"Maybe I am really the problem."

"Just maybe."

Streams of tears slowly flowed down his face as his consciousness gradually faded.

The rest grew deathly silent after that moment as two bodies lay on the ground.
