Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Kiss Her, and Do It Boldly

Caden Lockwood stared at Evelyn Morgan, puzzled as to why her face suddenly turned red.

He looked at the "Egan Cross" she was holding in her hand. Did she choose it because she thought it resembled him?

Satisfaction flashed in his eyes, and his palm itched with a strong desire to reach out and touch the curve of her smiling lips before kissing her hard.

However, if he were to kiss her, it had to be justifiable, leaving her with no room for anger.

Raising a dark eyebrow, he slightly parted his thin lips, "Don’t need me to take you back?" His tone was quite arrogant.

"No, thanks!" She waved at him, "I can get back myself! Bye-bye!"

As the words left her mouth, she turned around to leave.

"Erin Morgan!" He instinctively grabbed her wrist.

Her breath hitched. She turned back and awkwardly withdrew her hand.

No matter if that girl who scolded her today was his fiancée or not, she realized she was indeed too close to him.

She couldn’t allow herself to continue being so confused.

"Do you... still have something to say?" Evelyn’s tone was full of caution.

Caden retracted his hand, casually slipping it into his pocket, and said arrogantly, "You’re an employee of mine now, and I have a strict no-dating policy for employees."

"What!"

"Stay away from that senior or whoever." He leaned in closer, exuding a cold and domineering aura, "If I catch you flirting with another man, you’re dead!"

"Why should I..."

Before Evelyn could finish her sentence, Caden bent down and kissed her lips.

Their lips touched, and the pressure on her lips gradually increased, his large hand rubbing her neck, leaving a ticklish sensation that made her instinctively tense up.

"Sensitive little thing." He looked at her stunned face, a victorious smile playing on his lips, "Stamp approved. You can go home and sleep now."

With that, he turned around and walked away with a dashing demeanor.

Evelyn blinked once, then blinked again, her eyes reflecting Caden’s proud, arrogant, and confident back as he disappeared.

It wasn’t until he completely vanished that her brain suddenly exploded — she got kissed again?

Damn!

Couldn’t he stamp his approval in a normal way?

And when did she agree not to date while working for him?

With nothing but anger and no Caden in sight, she closed her reddened lips, still tasting him, wiped her mouth furiously, and ran to the subway station cursing under her breath...

The sun rose as usual, but Evelyn Morgan’s life had completely changed.

Arriving at school early for class, nearly everyone knew about her "marriage," and the school forum had exploded with posts mostly speculating about her husband’s identity.

Rubbing her temples, unsure if out of worry or curiosity, Evelyn logged onto the forum to see what people were saying.

She was fine until she looked, and even she was taken aback.

On the forum, the discussions about her marriage were varied, with some saying her husband was super wealthy, wearing what seemed to be a luxurious custom Armani set, and driving a limited edition Maybach, things that a commoner couldn’t price.

Evelyn’s eyes widened, her first thought was: the clothes are knock-offs, the car belongs to a rich lady.

She didn’t know much about brand names, but once something came with tags like "custom" or "limited edition," it had to be costly, right!

Still, seeing how her uncle’s villa was decorated, he certainly must have saved quite a sum over the years selling himself, but were those things really bought by him?

No, no!

The issue she needed to worry about wasn’t that, but the fact that the marriage was fake!

Would she have to carry the married title through her university life?

If Aunt May or that mysterious big brother who adopted her knew, how would she explain?

[PS: What will happen between Erin Morgan and "Uncle"? Stay tuned!]
