Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure-Chapter 2115: Sending it away (1)
The way that they looked at Undine made it very clear what the water elementals were thinking.
It was just that this wasn’t what Undine wanted...
Contrary to the water elementals, the way that Undine looked at me made it clear that it wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. Undine didn’t want to spend an extra second in this place with the water elementals.
I also didn’t want to stay here since it wasn’t as if I could remain underwater like this forever.
It did take a lot of energy from Undine to keep this water bubble going and it certainly wouldn’t have been possible to keep it going forever.
So that was why I said, "We’ll be just above and we’ll come down every day to help inject divine energy into the source."
The water elementals looked disappointed hearing this, but Undine didn’t give them the chance to say anything.
Undine just simply brought the water bubble up and started sending it out of the water.
The only thing that the water elementals could do was watch as it disappeared.
As we were heading up, I looked at Undine with one brow raised.
Undine didn’t look at me at first, but eventually it turned around to just give me a look that made things very clear.
I didn’t say anything to Undine in the end, but I did look at it with a look that made how I felt clear.
When we came out of the water, I was immediately surrounded by the others. The looks on their faces showed the concern that they felt, but that was only to be expected with how long I had remained under the water.
So all I could do was explain to them what had happened and tell them that I would bring them under the water later. Since we had already found the water elementals, it wouldn’t be a problem for me to bring them down with Undine’s power.
It was just that the look on Undine’s face showed that it wasn’t that keen to do this.
It seemed like Undine didn’t want the others to find out about how the water elementals treated it.
Still, this was the only way that I could get them to calm down.
So this was something that had to be done.
...
"It’s a good thing that there’s this island or else we really wouldn’t have a place to stay."
The land that was above this place was a land that was filled with volcanos.
It was one thing if it was just heat alone, but it was a problem if there were all those volcanoes around. After all, there was no telling what would happen if one of those volcanoes were to suddenly erupt.
So it would have been too dangerous for us to stay in a place that was filled with volcanoes like that.
Though looking around, this island really wasn’t that big.
Still, I was able to find a place where I was able to test something alone.
The others had wanted to come along, but I was able to convince them to let me walk around alone in the end. They had to respect that I was feeling a bit crowded with the way that they followed me all over the place, so they had to give me some time alone.
Though the tone that I said this definitely helped convince them.
Once I was alone, I took out the orb and held it in my hand for a while.
But after holding it for a bit, I suddenly put the orb away and gathered divine energy in my hand.
With this divine energy in hand, I pointed out in front of me as if I was sending it in that direction.
"Why isn’t this working?"
I could feel that the divine energy just wasn’t flowing the way that I wanted it to.
It wasn’t that I didn’t know what I was doing since I had already done something similar when I was using the orb to send the divine energy into the whirlpool. The problem was that there was no conduit and there was no end point this time.
I thought that just with the sensation alone from before, I would be able to figure it out.
But it was clear that this wasn’t the case.
"I guess I really did overestimate myself." A wry smile appeared on my face as I said this as I took out the orb once more.
However, I didn’t use the orb to do what I wanted to do.
Instead, I just focused on the sensation of using the orb to send out my divine energy.
I was trying to use my divine energy in a way where I didn’t have to rely on the orb. It wasn’t as if I couldn’t achieve the same effect with the orb, but there was no telling what could happen in the future.
It would be best if I was able to control the divine energy without the orb.
At the same time, it felt like I would be able to learn something about controlling the divine energy if I were to do this.
So that was why I didn’t give up on this training.
With the orb in one hand and the other hand controlling the divine energy, I slowly started to figure out what the difference was.
It was that the orb actually served as a connection between the divine energy and the space outside of my control.
Simply put, it was that divine energy became more out of control the further that it was away from the one that summoned it.
"Well, divine energy isn’t something that should exist in the mortal world in the first place. So it would only make sense that it would lose control after leaving the one that forced it into this mortal plane."
In modern terms, this orb was like a wifi hotspot that would increase the area of my control.
