Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure-Chapter 1487: Magic Exchange (3)
I couldn't help shaking my head with a bitter smile when I saw this.
Then I turned to look at the sea witches with a look of concern, as well as thinking about what to say to deal with this situation.
It was just that when I looked in their direction, I found that their reactions were different from what I had expected.
Instead of looking afraid of all these human magicians gathered here, it seemed like they had traces of excitement in their eyes as they looked around the room.
They were looking at the different exhibitions that had been set up all around the room.
It seemed that each of the sea witches had something that they were interested in, but all of them were indeed interested in something.
In the end, it seemed that this was just the kind of personality that they had.
They were attracted to their research just like Puffer was.
That was most likely how all of the sea witches were because of the way that they had been raised.
Though I could also understand their zeal for this.
I could see that Aisha was also interested in the things that were around this hall.
She was also someone that had quite the interest when it came to things related to magic, so I could understand why she was interested in this.
It seemed that people that were obsessed over the same thing knew what each other wanted. It seemed that there wouldn't be a problem to let the Sorcery Empire use their own method of welcoming their guests.
Well…perhaps they needed a bit of restraint.
That was what I thought as I remembered what happened with the Azure Sage and the Verdant Sage in the carriages.
If they couldn't hold themselves back, all they would do is send the wrong message after all.
Just like the Azure Sage and the Verdant Sage had done previously.
So after looking around, I said, "All of you, break up into groups of three and go to the different exhibitions together. However, make sure that you only go to exhibitions that are close by so we can help if anything happens."
The sea witches were caught off guard when they saw the sudden change that came over me, but they also gave slow nods and split up.
There were nine of them in the first place, so they broke up into three groups of three.
After breaking into these groups, they decided on which exhibitions they wanted to see first.
All of the human magicians from the Sorcery Empire had been silently waiting for the sea witches to make their decisions. In fact, the way that they had been waiting was almost as if they were competing with each other in terms of their exhibitions.
So when the sea witches chose the ones that they wanted to visit, the ones that were running those exhibitions looked at the others with proud looks on their faces.
The ones that weren't chosen looked like they had been defeated.
It really was interesting seeing how these magicians reacted to this.
Once they had chosen the ones that they wanted to go to, I just watched over them. Though it wasn't as if there was much for me to do watching over them like this, so I couldn't help looking at the exhibits as well.
The Azure Sage who had been on the side said, "You're free to take a look as well. This Magic Exhibition was prepared for our guests from the other races, but that doesn't mean that you're not welcome to take a look as well."
I turned to him with a smile before saying, "I'm not that familiar with this kind of stuff in the first place. Even if I were to take a look, it isn't as if I would understand these things."
But even then, the Azure Sage said, "That doesn't matter. Magic is for everyone."
I couldn't help being a bit surprised by him saying this.
After all, what the Sorcery Empire did was restrict their knowledge so that the other countries wouldn't be able to develop magicians like they could.
What the Azure Sage said was actually something that went against the very fundamentals of the Sorcery Empire that he was from.
But it didn't seem like he was lying about this.
It really seemed like he was sincere when he said this.
That was what made me even more confused.
Could it be that the Azure Sage was someone that didn't agree with what the Sorcery Empire did and he was expressing this to me?
Could it be that he was looking for someone to help him change the Sorcery Empire?
There was no way that he would actually be doing something like this in a place like this, right?
It just didn't feel like the smart thing to do.
For a sage that represented the wisdom of the Sorcery Empire, he certainly wouldn't do something like this…
After looking at him with a strange look for a bit, I threw this thought out of my mind and went back to looking at the exhibits that were set up in front of me.
I had to admit that there were some exhibits that did seem interesting to me.
From the bit of knowledge that I had gotten from Aisha, I was able to understand a few things about what they were presenting. At the same time, I knew that if I were to learn a few more things, there was no doubt that it would help my own magic.
So in the end, I was convinced by the Azure Sage.
Though I did make sure to keep an eye on the young sea witches just in case something happened.
However, I never thought that I would have caused a bigger commotion than the sea witches.
"What is this reaction?"
"I've never seen this kind of reaction before."
"I've never even seen this kind of mana before, just what is happening?"
