Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure-Chapter 1486: Magic Exchange (2)
Talking to these young ladies in a confined space about magic…
It didn't seem like there was anything wrong with this, but with the way that Puffer described it, it was easy to guess what happened.
"I think that it would be best if you don't approach them in the future without an escort."
Another trace of bitterness filled the Azure Sage's smile, but seeing the way that the young sea witches looked at him, he could only nod in agreement.
The other option was scaring them to the point where they wouldn't want to talk to him anymore.
If that were to happen…
Well, it would be bad for the Azure Sage.
So he could only agree to this for now.
But even though he agreed, it was clear by the look in his eyes that he wouldn't give up that easily.
Still it was fine as long as he controlled himself for now.
After all, there was someone else who had completely lost control.
I thought that it would be the end with the Azure Sage and the sea witches, but there was another situation developing on the other side. Though it could be said that it was the same situation as what was happening over here.
That was because there were vines that were growing out of the carriage that arrived after this one.
And the one that the vines were binding was the Verdant Sage.
It was almost the exact same thing as what happened with the Azure Sage and the sea witches.
Only the one that was being pressed for knowledge wasn't some underaged sea witch. It was Aisha, the queen of the Elven Kingdom.
As for the one that she was attacking, it was the Verdant Sage.
One of the sages of the Sorcery Empire and the queen of the Elven Kingdom, this kind of incident could already be considered an international crisis.
Only it didn't seem like anyone treated it as such.
Especially the Verdant Sage who was the one that was currently bound by the vines.
It seemed like she was even having fun admiring the vines that Aisha had summoned to restrain her with. In a sense, it was almost as if she had been the one that had asked to be restrained by the vines.
With an awkward look on my face, I asked Aisha, "What happened here?"
Aisha had a deadpan look on her face as she said, "She asked to see my magic, so I showed it to her."
The way that she said this made it sound very simple, but it was anything but simple.
After all, there was one of the sages of the Sorcery Empire tied up in vines like this.
"How about you let her down now?" I said with a sigh.
Aisha slowly gave a nod and was about to release the vines, but the Verdant Sage suddenly said, "No, leave me be. I want to keep researching these vines, there's no need to release me."
Both Aisha and I looked at the Verdant Sage with a strange look after hearing this.
I had to double check to see if she was being serious or not, but it didn't seem like she was joking.
Rather, the look on her face made me reveal a trace of disgust in my eyes.
I didn't know what to say to this, so I just left it to Aisha's discretion.
In the end, she was also disgusted by the way that the Verdant Sage was acting, so she didn't even want her vines touching her.
A wave of her hand was all that it took for her to release the vines that had been around the Verdant Sage.
The Verdant Sage fell to the ground with a disappointed look and it seemed like she wanted to say something else. However, the Azure Sage came over when he saw what was happening to stop her.
"Alright, everyone's waiting for us inside. Let's not keep them waiting." The Azure Sage said with a smile.
The Verdant Sage looked like there was more that she wanted to say, but it also seemed like there was something that was restraining her. So in the end, she just gave a simple nod and followed the Azure Sage over to the building we had arrived at.
Because of all the things that happened, I didn't actually have time to look at the building yet.
I had no idea where we actually were.
However, just one look was enough to tell that this wasn't any kind of hotel or important place. Rather, it seemed like some kind of place that would be used to hold a conference.
Did that mean that the Sorcery Empire wanted to establish some kind of deeper connection with the Merman Empire and the Elven Kingdom?
If that was the case, then they really moved fast.
However, it didn't seem like it would work.
In the end, I was completely wrong.
Once we entered the building while being guided by the Azure Sage, we found that this was completely different from what we had expected.
There were many people gathered here and based on their magic robes, they all seemed to be magicians which wasn't strange since this was the Sorcery Empire. It was just strange that all of them were gathered in this place like this.
This was the first time that these sea witches were on land and it was Aisha's first time in the Sorcery Empire.
Since they were new to these places, one would think that they wouldn't want to overload them by introducing them to all these people like this.
But those from the Sorcery Empire had a completely different idea.
That was because other than the people that were gathered here, there seemed to be quite a few places that had been set up to run experiments and such.
With the way that this place was set up, it seemed like it was some kind of convention rather than a meeting.
"Welcome to the Magic Exchange. This is the special event that we've set up for this knowledge exchange." The Azure Sage said with a wide smile that had a trace of pride in it.
