Chapter 49: Chapter 48: The Villainous Monster

Eleanore and Alastor had lost track of time. Instead of leaving within an hour, they stayed in the restaurant for more than three hours. Instead of drinking just a glass of alcohol, she drank two full jugs of it. She was wasted and had no idea what was going on around her.

"Lady Eleanore?" Alastor called her out.

She was sitting on the same wooden chair, she had sat in when she came here. The only difference was that her head had fallen on a pillow made out of her arms and she was in a deep sleep.

Alastor couldn’t understand what to do. He would be in trouble if anything were to happen to Eleanore. He was thinking about where to take her? Sinclair mansion? But isn’t that closed? He pondered on it and then just decided to ask Eleanore.

He pulled in a chair next to her and gently removed her soft, blond hair from her face, then tucked it behind her ears. Now her face was finally visible. It was red, so red that even a tomato could not compare to her blushed face. A smile broke on his lips, as his eyes took in her beauty.

"Lady Eleanore?" He called her out again, this time along with a little shaking.

When she didn’t wake up, he shook her shoulder a little more vigorously. Finally she got her head out of the table and slammed her back on the back of the chair. "What?" She asked.

For Eleanore, her whole world was revolving around her in circles. Her head was in immense pain and her eyes were blurry, filled with tears. Yet with all that, the only thing she could feel is joy.

"Where do you reside, Lady Eleanore?" Alastor asked, holding back his laughter, when he saw her suddenly get up like a ghost.

"Where I live?" She asked in a gibberish voice. "My house."

"Sinclair mansion is closed."

Eleanore turned to Alastor. She took a while to understand what he had just said. "Sinclair mansion is closed? Then, where do I live? Wait!" She patted the crown prince’s shoulder and moved closer to him.

Alastor caught her arms to support her from falling on his lap. "What are you doing? I have a secret. Lend me your ear." she said.

His eyebrows furrowed on that. What secret is she even talking about? Instead of giving it much thought. He let her get closer to his ear. She grabbed his shoulder and got out of her seat. Most of her weight was on him, but he didn’t mind it. Instead, he focused on what she had to say.

"I am not from this world." she whispers.

"What?" his eyes widened from hearing that. "What are you saying, my lady?"

Alastor could only laugh at that. He thought she was saying nonsense under the influence of alcohol. He helped her sit back down on the chair and tried asking about her residence again.

"My lady, which family do you live with at the moment? Demetria?" He asked, knowing that Flora Demetria is her best friend.

"What? No." She waved her hand leaning back to her chair. "I live with the Villainous Monster."

"Whose that?" Alastor asked.

"You don’t know?"

He shook his head at that, contemplating on who this person might be.

"Oh God! You are such a fool. I am talking about Caelestis Lancaster."

"Grand duke Cealestis Lancaster?" He was shocked to hear that. The woman, who once loved this man, considers him a monster now.

"Yes, Grand Duke Caelestis lancaster." She answered, annoyed by the repetitive questions.

Alastor laughed at that. He laughed so loud that he woke up his sleeping knights from their slumber, only for them to sigh and fall back asleep in their places. He got out of his seat, still laughing a little. His hand curled around Eleanore’s arm and tried to pull her out, but she didn’t move.

So he moved closer to her ear and whispered. "Do you not want to go back to the mansion of this Villainous Monster?" He asked.

Eleanore quickly covered her left ear, feeling tickles when the warm air from his mouth touched her skin. "What are you doing? It tickles."

"Oh?" He folded his hands around his chest, raising one of his eyebrows. "You can do it but I can’t?" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

"That’s right!" Eleanore yelled, getting out of her chair. The sleeping knights woke up again from their still light sleep due to the laughter that woke them up last time.

"Sleep back, brothers. It’s just the captain quarreling with his girlfriend." One of them spoke up, before crashing his head back on the table and then falling asleep.

"We are not dating." Alastor yelled, embarrassed from all the teasing he was receiving, ever since he brought Eleanore here.

"Yes, we arrrr—" Eleanore could no longer pronounce the words she wished to put in her sentence. "Weeee—" She wiggled in her place, until she fell into Alastor’s arms. "Whatever he said." with that she lost her consciousness and fell asleep again.

Alastor sighed, with a smile as he lifted her up in his arms and then walked down to his carriage. He helped her sit opposite him, but she kept falling, so he simply placed his hand under the right side of her face.

Lancaster mansion arrived more than an hour later. By then his hand had stiffened. Alator sat next to Eleanore and removed her hand from below her face, letting her head rest on the wooden wall behind.

"Lady Eleanore." He called out but got no reply in return.

Concluding that there was no way to wake her up. He just picked her up in his arms again and entered the Lancaster Mansion.

Inside, both Stella and Caelestis were restlessly waiting for Eleanore’s arrival. They searched the area around the square for two whole hours, but still found no sign of her there.

Eventually they decided to return back to the mansion and let the white knights search for her. It was not easy. It took a lot of convincing from Caelestis, to make Stella leave the country side.
