Saving The Villainous Monster From The Male Lead-Chapter 101 - 100: The Person He is Turning Into
The cold winter wind entered the mansion from the open doors. Reminding her that it had arrived and Eleanore could feel the cold rising in her body, as she stands there alone. Helpless and defeated. She wants them to end up with each other like in the original. They are such great humans, and they deserve each other, but then why does it look like they are drifting apart, instead?
Moreover, the fact that everything is probably falling apart because of Eleanore’s interference, made her feel like she could be haunted by this forever. But she refuses to be forced to hide in the shadows because of that. She refuses to let their story end, before it even started and thus, she makes up her mind to mend this relationship herself.
She descended the remaining stairs and barges into her brother’s room. "Why would you say that to her? What did she even do to you?" Eleanore shouted, interrupting a report Dean was reading out for Hael.
"Lady Eleanore—" Before Dean could say another word, Eleanore raised her palm in the air, indicating him to shut up.
"Dean, can you leave the room?" Her gaze turned to him; they were filled with anger. "I have something important to discuss with my brother."
Dean nodded. He bowed before leaving the room and closed the door behind him. With an exhausting sigh, he left the corridor again, his work only pilling up and increasing. Yet people keep restricting him from taking a real break. He is just too tired of this drama that has surrounded him.
"What exactly did you say to her? Why did she leave like that?" She questioned, while her brother remained seated in his chair, struggling to read a single word on the letter that was sent to him.
’For god’s sake, why is the handwriting so small?’ He wondered, as he moved his gaze to his little sister. Her face red with anger.
"I didn’t ask her to leave. We just had a small argument." He sighed, as he described that as a small argument.
"A small argument. How can a small argument make her cry so bitterly?"
"Elle! —" He tried to speak, but Eleanore was in no mood to hear any excuses or even truth. She was here to speak. Speak about how this situation made her feel and she would do it no matter what.
"No, brother. Whatever it was, you shouldn’t have said that you hate her. Never." Eleanore didn’t want to fight with her brother, but she had to find out what he said that hurt her friend so deeply.
"I only told the truth." He argues.
"But why? Why do you hate her?" Eleanore couldn’t believe what she had heard.
Hael was supposed to be a kind man, who would think twice before even killing a single enemy. To see if he truly deserves death and if possible, he would try to spare them. Moreover, Stella is the female lead. His only love interest, how could he hurt her?
"If it wasn’t for her, you wouldn’t have been in this condition. It breaks me to see you in so much pain. All because of that woman." He reveals.
His voice carried so much love for Eleanore, that it looked dangerous. A love that would want you to blame others. The kind Caelestis harbors. She hated it that her brother possessed any resemblance to that monster.
Hael should never become like him. Never. He must always be the kind male lead, who could die for his love. Forget his revenge for that love and could get ready to give up the throne to a dictator like Caelestis, only for that true love.
"Why do you sound like Caelestis?" She pointed out, feeling pathetic to even compare them.
"What?" Hael turned to his little sisters. Her eyes were overwhelmed with the painful memories of the past. Those three months, where he relentlessly blamed her for everything that happened, even if it was not related to her, made her shiver.
It is the worst feeling in the world to be unable to defend yourself. To stand there amongst thousands. Having their fingers raised at her and blaming her, without giving her a single chance to explain herself. That feeling, she hates it and could understand the pain a person goes through, because of that.
"You sound like him. You are blaming an innocent like him. Why are you turning into him, brother? Why?" Her eyes narrowed as she said those words, hiding her face in her palms.
"Elle!" He got out of his chair and walked to her. "I would never be like that dumbass." He tries to place his hand on her shoulder, but she shoves it away.
"Well, you are acting like him right now, though." She shouts.
"No."
"You have no idea what the woman you are blaming did for me, your little sister." She could understand how Stella was feeling. For she has gone through the same and it isn’t a very great feeling. It isn’t funny to be blamed and ridiculed, even after you try to do something good.
"She saved me twice. Once from Caelestis. She was ready to kill him, for me when he had chained her in that side house like an animal." She begins to say everything that had happened in that lone, devious mansion.
"You wouldn’t be seeing me standing alive, on my two feet, although one broken, today. if it weren’t for her. She took a sword on her back for me. She could have died from that and yet she didn’t think twice before jumping between the assassin and me."
"Elle—"
Eleanore breaks. Tears rolled out of her eyes as she continued. "It wasn’t her fault. I didn’t get kidnapped because of her. Then why—" her voice cracked, as every raw emotion she felt every time she was blamed for something she hadn’t done, flew out. "Why would you blame her like that damn man?"
She hissed. "Why are you turning into him?"
"No, Elle. I would never."
"I—" Eleanore tried to find a word less piercing than ’hate’. "I am disappointed in you, brother."
After saying that, Eleanore turned and left the room. Without looking back even once at her injured brother, who was stung by her arrow of words.
