Chapter 464: Just let me lick it once

Qie Xieling who had been grounded once, okay twice by his parents was very angry. Who was Luo Muchen that he would ground him?

Qie Xieling felt so annoyed that he crossed his arms on his chest and sat on the bed while swearing under his breath. He lay back down on the bed with his limbs sprawled while staring blankly at the ceiling. Suddenly the door was opened and when he raised his head slightly he saw Jolie walking into the room with skewers, hawthorns and sugar people candy enough for the both of them.

"Hey, brought tasty treats. You looked so sad when you left," she said while placing it on the bedside table.

Qie Xieling sat up and couldn’t help but grab one of the skewers. "Did you get some wine?" he asked and Jolie smiled evilly like the Grinch.

"Of course I did," she said but how she got it was through dishonest means. She had dug up the peach blossom wine in the courtyard. As to how she knew where it was buried, it was because she had researched it. She was eager to create opportunities to cultivate feelings between husband and wife and this stolen wine could act as the perfect catalyst.

The two of them started eating and drinking with no regard for their image at all. It didn’t take a long time before Qie Xieling was tipsy and talking trash about his man. Jolie even egged him on and added fire to the flames.

The two of them got so wasted that they fell asleep halfway through the jug of wine. The problem with these two drunkards was that they became quite loud. Instead of passing out at first, Qie Xieling was telling the most absurd of jokes and the two somehow found it funny. He also started singing and dancing with Jolie the two of them the perfect embodiment of a rowdy drunk. The problem was that Daddy Chen wasn’t too happy about it.

He was walking in the garden inside the courtyard after eating a very late dinner. He decided to take a walk and help him digest but who would have thought he would hear the ruckus coming from what was meant to be their bedroom? He felt quite annoyed. His brows creased as he walked over to reprimand them when someone called his name. He turned around and found Xiao Fen standing there while bowing slightly.

"Young master... the Master summons you. He said that it was urgent," she said and Luo Muchen’s steps paused.

He glanced back at the noisy bedroom one more time before turning to leave. Just as he was about to go the wind breeze passed by carrying the words, "Muchen is an idiot. Mu-muchen is a very very stupid dumbass... igit of a man. I am done."

Luo Muchen’s veins throbbed as he clenched his fist. His wife was talking shit behind his back. How delusional he must have been when he got married. He thought he had found someone who would start a family with him. Turns out he was the butt of the joke.

His foot turned subconsciously like he was going to go there when he heard Xiao Fen’s soft voice. "Young master," she said and he clenched his jaw before turning to leave.

Qie Xieling had no idea Luo Muchen could hear him cursing him out. Blame Jolie for egging him on and telling him to let it all out. He was so mad that he let it all out. It’s a shame that Luo Muchen didn’t get to hear him wailing afterwards.

"... I love him so much but he is so mean. I even burnt my fingers making him congee yet he insults me and grounds me... who does that," he said and Jolie found it very funny.

He was wrong, Qie Xieling was nothing like Wen Qinxi. He was too soft and cuddly. It was hard not to feel sympathy for him.

Jolie patted his head and said, "There there. He will fall in love with you all over again... hopefully soon." The head pat felt so comfortable that Qie Xieling ended up falling asleep.

Meanwhile, Luo Muchen was a little surprised when he found that it wasn’t only his father but Madam Lee waiting for him. Lee Ya was also there sipping on her tea with a smirk on her face like she was eagerly waiting for the drama.

Before Master Lee could say anything Madam Lee had already flung a tea cup at him which he dodged. With a loud crash, it shattered on the ground spilling it all over the floor. The maidservants rushed over to clean up the mess while Luo Muchen walked forward his strides well-paced and imposing.

"You wanted to see me," he said addressing his father directly and Madam Lee who had been ignored wasn’t happy at all.

When her husband was about to speak she interjected, "How good you are. You get married and soon after you are running around with women to disgrace your family. How dare you? Why am I even surprised. You are just like your father," she said and Luo Muchen’s brows furrowed.

How was he like his father? And what women was he running around with? The only person he met tonight was his... wife.

"The entire town is gossiping about it. Don’t you have any shame?!" she continued cursing sounding quite excitable. She rarely had an opportunity to criticise him thus she went all out.

Luo Muchen didn’t feel like arguing with her so he beckoned Bo Ailun over and whispered something.

Bo Ailun’s brow arched with an expression that seemed to say ’Are you serious’ before he walked out.

"If I may ask. What was the woman wearing... you know the woman I was supposedly flirting with?" he asked as he flung his sleeve and sat down furthest from them. He tapped the table lightly while watching the family of three.

Madam Lee sneered and Lee Ya smirked. "You yourself know what she looks like. I feel sorry for my brother’s new wife. It’s only been three days and he is already wearing a green hat," said Lee Ya and Master Lee cleared his throat trying to shut her up but she shrugged her shoulder seeming smug. If he had let her be the future heir from the start they wouldn’t be having these problems. He just had to go find his illegitimate child to compete with her.

"You what was she wearing?" commanded Madam Lee and Lee Ya’s maidservant stepped forward and stammered as she half bowed. She described everything the woman was wearing in detail and exactly how Luo Muchen held her hand and dragged her away.

"There... what do you have to say for yourself," asked Madam Lee just as Qie Xieling walked in.

His entrance into the family hall raised a few eyebrows. His steps were a tad unsteady but he still tried to act normal. To Madam Lee’s surprise, he was dressed exactly as the maidservant had explained.

His meticulous dress made of vibrant silk, swirled around his figure with elegance. Its collar, adorned with intricate embroidery depicting blooming flowers, framed his slender neck. The gown’s wide sleeves cascaded gracefully down his arms, accentuating his every movement.

But it wasn’t just the dress that caught everyone’s attention; it was Qie Xieling’s beauty that truly captivated the room. His features were delicate, like porcelain sculpted by a master craftsman. His skin, fair and flawless, glowed with a natural radiance. His eyes, normally vibrant and full of life, were glossy and filled with a mischievous sparkle. The flush on his cheeks from the drinking only enhanced his allure. Luo Muchen’s heart jolted as he clenched his fist trying to restrain himself. He was mesmerized by Qie Xieling’s appearance and felt his blood rush on sight. He couldn’t make sense of this feeling because he had seen Qie Xieling not so long ago but he didn’t feel this way. Maybe that was because he was angry at the time and was too blinded to notice.

As Qie Xieling’s gaze fell upon Luo Muchen his face lit up with pure delight. He rushed toward him, his steps light and swift, and called out to him with a voice that dripped with sweetness, "Husband." His voice carried a hint of playful teasing despite having called him an idiot a few moments ago.

Luo Muchen felt an itch spread from his ears to his heart. It was an itch that couldn’t be ridden off easily. The room seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in a world of their own.

With a smile that reached her eyes, Qie Xieling reached Luo Muchen’s side and gently placed his hand on his arm. The warmth of his touch sent a shiver down Luo Muchen’s spine. He was about to address his father and take Qie Xieling back when Qie Xieling’s head resting on his shoulder suddenly slid down to his crotch.

Luo Muchen, "..."

He immediately picked him up and Qie Xieling looked disappointed. With his lips pouted he said, "Husband, I am hungry. Just let me lick it once."

Everyone, "..."
