Chapter 459: The art of deception

"If you didn’t want me to marry your daughter you could have just said so," said Luo Muchen his expression fierce like a general on the battlefield while walking towards Master Bi. The Bi clan gathered around Master Bi protecting him but even they were trembling at the aura emanating from Luo Muchen.

"I would have married someone else in place of her. But you chose to deceive me to marry this thi-" he said before glaring at Qie Xieling.

Qie Xieling glared back at him standing his ground. His expression said to say ’If you insult me you are fuckin done’.

When Luo Muchen retained his words Qie Xieling smiled slightly, translating ’That’s what I thought’. Luo Muchen was so angry with himself for conceding to him. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Master Bi saw their interaction and couldn’t help but praise himself for the perfect plan. Qie Xieling was still his servant in the end and the more control he had on Luo Muchen the better. Luo Muchen was like a power-hungry wolf stepping on other people’s toes. He needed a freaking muzzle otherwise he would run rampant and take over the five clans if left unchecked.

"You must have been sadly mistaken if you think I would marry my daughter to a bastard heir. Wouldn’t be that spitting on Bi’s family name, huh? I thought my disciple would be better suited for your young master Luo thus I took the liberty to have him take my daughter’s place," said Master Bi not even hiding the fact that the young man from the brothel was his disciple.

The small crowd gasped followed by soft whispers. "Father!... Don’t listen to him. I want to marry you and now that it’s all been exposed we can make it right. You can take me as your wife," said Bi Yu pleading with him desperately.

Qie Xieling almost rolled his eyes to the back of his head but he kept his mouth shut. He was thinking of going back to lie down for he had already lost interest in this little show.

’I can leave right?’ he asked Jolie and Jolie put a stamp of approval. They could always convey their decision to him but he didn’t need to be a part of it thus he turned around to leave.

"Where do you think you are going?" said Luo Muchen with his hand gripping Qie Xieling’s arm tightly.

Qie Xieling put on a stiff smile before turning to face him and said, "I am going back to our courtyard, hus... band," deliberately dragging his words while looking at Bi Yu.

Qie Xieling could clearly see the jealousy dripping down her face. He leaned in close and his eyes grazed every inch of Luo Muchen’s side profile before whispering, "Especially after last night... You tired me out."

Luo Muchen, "..."

He turned his blade towards Qie Xieling’s neck his entire body trembling in anger. How he hated being deceived the most. Just a few moments ago he was thinking of the life he would build with his wife but it was all a deception.

Qie Xieling was about to grab Luo Muchen’s wrist before the sharp blade slit his throat when Bi Yize came head to head with Luo Muchen’s infamous blade and the two clashed.

"Don’t you dare? If you don’t want him you can divorce him," he said through gritted teeth.

Luo Muchen snorted coldly. It all made sense now. Bi Yize’s reaction at the wedding wasn’t because he was marrying his sister but because he was marrying his lover. He would have tolerated the idea of divorcing him but now he didn’t want to even consider it. He wanted them both to suffer. They will get to live their lives knowing that they will never be with the ones that they love.

"He will divorce him and you must compensate us for your deception," said Master Lee but Luo Muchen stared at Qie Xieling intently and said,

"No... and besides we have already consummated our marriage, isn’t it... wife?" A sound of gasps followed soon after and Bi Yize’s response was as expected but Qie Xieling’s reaction on the other hand was hard to understand.

"What? You! How dare you!" exclaimed Bi Yize before he attacked Luo Muchen in a full-blown rage.

Luo Muchen’s sword whistled through the air as he expertly blocked his desperate attack. This mere conflict was just the spark needed to start a raging firestorm. Luo Muchen had found an outlet and he was going to take full advantage of it.

Madam Bi terrified for her precious son yelled, "Somebody do something," and when the Bi clan members stepped forward Master Bi stopped them. His son needed to be humbled. He needed to learn what true strength was.

Luo Muchen spun the hilt of his sword in his hand before getting a good grip on it. Bi Yize lunged forward. He was quick and agile, but Luo Muchen’s movements were like those of a ruthless predator hunting for sport. He blocked Bi Yize’s attack and kicked him in the stomach causing the young man to stagger a few steps back with a grimace.

As the fight wore on, it became clear that Bi Yize was no match for him. The shirtless Luo Muchen was a tier ahead of him. They all looked on in horror as Bi Yize the prestigious student of the highest-ranked martial arts master was laid low by Luo Muchen’s blade.

The crowd gasped as his black blade found its mark, slicing through Bi Yize’s defences and drawing a thin line of blood across his cheek. Bi Yize stumbled back, his eyes wild with anger, as Luo Muchen pressed his advantage.

Luo Muchen was fighting with a strange sort of intensity like he was fighting for more than just victory. His eyes kept darting in the crowd, searching for something, or someone. Suddenly his movements became even more fluid and graceful. He was mingling swordplay with martial arts techniques, expertly dodging and weaving around Bi Yize’s frustrated attacks.

Despite Bi Yize’s increasing desperation, Luo Muchen remained cool and composed. His eyes flickered towards his wife. It was as though he was trying to humiliate the both of them. He wanted to show him that he could crush his lover with little to no effort.

But before he could show him how powerful he was, Bi Yize launched a wild attack, aiming for his chest. Luo Muchen sidestepped effortlessly, then delivered a savage kick to Bi Yize’s side, sending him sprawling to the ground. While this was taking place he glanced in Qie Xieling’s direction but he was gone. Luo Muchen’s eyes turned bloodshot with rage. He couldn’t help but think that his wife couldn’t stand watching his lover being humiliated.

Bi Yize lay there, gasping for air, while Luo Muchen stood over him, his sword raised high. The crowd began to murmur nervously, wondering if Luo Muchen would kill Bi Yize in cold blood. With his reputation, they wouldn’t put it past him.

Suddenly, a stern voice rang out: "Enough!"

It was Master Bi. His son had been humiliated enough for one day and he was not going to let it continue.

But Luo Muchen was not so easily tamed. He glared down at Bi Yize in disgust, then kicked him in the head, knocking him out cold.

The crowd scattered in fear as Luo Muchen stormed out of the courtyard, his sword clutched tightly in his hand. Nobody knew what he would do next, but they all prayed that it would not be anything too terrible. Luo Muchen was looking for his dearest wife for a one-on-one.
