Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 431: It’s love
Luo Muchen lay on the cold, hard ground, his body bruised and battered. Gasping for breath, he summoned all his strength and reached out, his trembling hand grasping his father’s ankle silently.
The king sneered down at him, his eyes filled with disdain. He spat on him, the vile saliva landing next to his face. "How pathetic?" the king hissed, his voice dripping with venom.
Burning with fury he kicked Luo Muchen away and
his eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for Qie Xieling amidst the scattered remnants of the damaged capsules. Some of the capsules that were once housing several people now lay shattered with their occupants on the ground.
With each passing moment, the king’s anger intensified, fueled by his own impatience. The fact that he had him in his grasp and let him go was quite infuriating.
The king’s footsteps echoed ominously as he moved through the room, casting a sinister shadow over Luo Muchen. Luo Muchen was struggling to breathe as he watched his father searching through the big room while yelling, "Come out you cowardly bastard." The king called out followed by loud crashing sounds as he threw parts of the broken capsules around in anger.
Luo Muchen’s heart pounded in his chest, each time his father tossed things around. He had to get up. He had to protect Qie Xieling.
The king’s hands trembled with fury, his eyes darting from one broken capsule to another, searching for any sign of him.
Finally, he caught sight of him lying on the ground passed out cold. It was a miracle that he wasn’t hit with the flying debris from the broken capsules lying beside him.
The room was filled with an eerie silence as the King, his face etched with malevolence, walked towards the motionless Qie Xieling. He was like a predator stalking his victim in the dark ready to strike unexpectedly.
The king’s heavy footsteps echoed through the room, his feet crushing the broken glass beneath them. The shards merely crunched beneath his feet, as if they were insignificant obstacles in his path.
He hovered over Qie Xieling with a sinister grin. "Time for you to be useful," he said with an ominous voice but as he leaned closer, a searing pain erupted in his chest, causing his expression to contort in surprise. His gaze fell downward, revealing a shard of glass protruding from his own chest, crimson droplets trickling down his clothes.
His eyes widened in shock and confusion, the treacherous facade crumbling before the unforeseen turn of events. Before he could react, a second blow struck him, piercing his back.
Quivering he turned to face the person who had stabbed him and saw it was Luo Muchen.
"Son," the King whispered, his voice filled with a mixture of pain and disbelief. The sinister expression melted away, replaced by a haunting vulnerability. He leaned forward, seeking support from his son, but Luo Muchen dodged his embrace, a look of disgust crossing his face. With a loud thud, the king fell to the ground and he watched him with no sympathy as the king’s blood formed a pool around him. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Luo Muchen threw the glass shard down on the ground his vision already blurred. He turned toward Qie Xieling. He staggered, his own injuries from the confrontation taking their toll. Half-kneeling, he gathered his waning strength and embraced Qie Xieling in his arms. Desperation etched his face as he tried to wake Qie Xieling from his unconscious state, his heart filled with a mixture of fear and anxiety.
He lay on the cold, hard floor with Qie Xieling in his arms his body battered and bruised. Blood was still trickling from a gash on his forehead, blurring his vision and adding to the throbbing pain that pulsed through his entire being. His heart ached, not only from the physical agony but also from the worry for his beloved Qie.
With trembling hands, Luo Muchen reached out to touch Qie Xieling’s face, his thumb gently caressing the man’s cheek. "Wake up, please," he whispered, his voice barely audible, as if afraid to startle him. His pleas were filled with both desperation and longing, the weight of the situation pressing heavily upon him. He now understood that what he felt for Qie Xieling was love. The thought of losing him tore his soul apart. He tried to get up and carry him but his vision swayed and blurred, doubling the images before him.
His injuries had taken a toll on his body, weakening him with each passing moment. He wouldn’t be able to manage to carry him out of this place. Yet, he refused to give up. He checked Qie Xieling’s communicator around his wrist. It was broken but he still managed to send a distraught message to Bo Ailun.
With utmost tenderness, he lay beside Qie Xieling pulling him close and embracing him tightly, as if his very touch could mend the wounds that marred their lives.
As Luo Muchen closed his eyes, exhaustion washed over him, threatening to pull him into the dark abyss. But he fought against it. He wanted to watch over Qie Xieling and protect him. If he passes out now he had no guarantee that Qie Xieling would be safe.
A few breaths in and loud footsteps reverberated through the room. He turned to look in that direction his expression murderous like he was going to kill someone. But a seems of relief soon flooded his senses when he saw his men enter, their faces etched with concern.
Finally, Luo Muchen felt a glimmer of security in the midst of chaos. He allowed himself to release the weight of the world knowing that they were no longer in danger. With a sense of newfound safety, he closed his eyes once more, this time with a serene smile gracing his lips.
Bo Ailun rushed over and ordered them to carry them out of this place. While they were carrying them away they were met with more of the King’s guard at the door. The two groups stared each other down with intergalactic pirates already ready to fight them to the death but a tall slender middle-aged woman who seemed to be in charge said, "Take great care of the crown prince. Let us know if you need our help."
